  1. Pepsi products + mixed drinks= YUCK!!!! 🤣😁🤣 Never since the beginning of time has anyone walked into a bar and said: Rum and Pepsi please! Seven and Mountain Dew! I'm conflicted, as we are cruising with a Cheers! promotion, but can't stomach the idea of Crown and Pepsi 😭 So lot's of martinis, tequila sunrises and salty dogs and "neat" drinks.
  2. We always book our own 3rd party excursions. Better price, better service, more personal experience. Carnival will dangle the "they won't hold the ship for you on 3rd party excursions that are late" but the only time we've seen late excursions they've been Carnival ones. Just be smart, be aware of the actual time you need to be back and you'll be ok. These 3rd party providers make their living off cruise customers and know what they are doing.
  3. The general answer is NO. The real answer, is maybe. People claim to have gotten things like that through from time to time, but my thought is why take the risk. Bring what you know will make it. We always bring sweet reds along with sprite and make our own wine coolers.
  4. Unless they have changed something you see it all. We walked into the areas where all the drinks are stored, saw the cold storage areas, the crazy huge washer/dryers in the laundry area. You see pretty much all the support areas of the ship. It's really cool.
  5. VIFP offers are seemingly random. My wife and I are both Gold with the exact number of sailing days and she always gets the better offers. I figured since I always create the bookings and pay the fares I would get them.
  6. Right there on the Carnival website: https://www.carnival.com/help?topicid=2633
  7. Don't know if it's still available for your sailing but buying FTTF (Fast to the Fun) will get you priority access to the tenders before general boarding and after Platinum/Diamond. The FTTF is for your entire booking, not per person.
  8. We've done it on each new ship class we sail and it's always a fun experience. We'll jump on it for the Vista if it's available for out Feb. 4th sailing.
  9. I didn't want to start another thread so I thought I'd ask here. Does Cheers still include milkshakes? I don't see it listed in the official description. We're cruising with "free" Cheers in a few weeks and my wife asked about milkshakes since she's seen it mentioned when she did a little research into it..
  10. I was more thinking in the event of an emergency like I mentioned in my post. Better safe than sorry.
  11. People are getting too hung up on having to choose a boarding time and seeing it as a loss off a FTTF perk. I had FTTF on 3 cruises and always showed up earlier than my boarding group time each time without issue (under the advisement of Carnival CSR's since I called to find out how it was supposed to work the first time I bought it). Had to pick a late boarding group? Don't worry, you can show up early and get on without issue, that's the point of FTTF.
  12. For travel you usually need a "certified" copy of your birth certificate. Here in Texas, it means a visit to the vital records office (might want to google what that means in OK). Years ago, it was embossed with a stamp, but now it's an ink stamp.
  13. Bet the "truth" will come out when he files a lawsuit trying to blame Carnival.
  14. It's worth it for us since we are cruising on VIFP offer of FREE Cheers! Would I ever buy it? If they allowed one person to purchase it yes. Wife and I aren't big drinkers, and she doesn't drink coffee or energy drinks so we'd never recoup the "value" of it if we paid for it. By myself, between the drinks and specialty coffee I might make it worthwhile.
  15. Yeah, that's right, I was confusing the Cheers prices with the Gold Tier drink!
  16. We sailed under this scenario last month on the Breeze. On the last sea day we ordered drinks in the MDR (I believe the free drink is anything under $20) but you can order them from any bar.
  17. All I know is that when we had FTTF on prior cruises we picked a time, then showed up whenever we wanted. Never had an issue.
  18. We've only done the steakhouse, but it was certainly a step or two above the MDR in food quality and service. Worth it to me, but I'm a steak snob, lol.
  19. Whenever I ordered multiples of anything (side, entree or dessert) they would bring them out one at a time. This was on the Breeze in October. Not really a big deal, but I get your concern.
  20. Thinking back on our last cruise (and first without FTTF) it's the Customer Service perk that we missed the most. We had three occasions when we needed to ask something at the service desk and it was always at least a 20 minute wait. WIth access to our room, guest service priority and tender priority (waiting in lines is like waiting in traffic for me, lol) it's still worth the cost (was $129 for our 7 day on the Vista) for us.
  21. Here it is, popped up in excursions this morning (cost was $129):
  22. What "results" are you speaking of related to the propulsion issues? Itinerary changes? I mean, this is nothing new. We had to deal with that on our Triumph cruise a few years ago due to similar propulsion problems, but it didn't affect the fun we had.
  23. I carry on one change of clothes, my electronic items, wine/sodas and any medications.
  24. That's what I thought. I love my nephew, but sometimes he's not the best at articulating what he wants, lol. Well, they already spent money on food, lol (they ate their lunch at Johnny Rockets).
