That is kind of a lot of people. Happy New Year. Thanks for the photo. βΊοΈ(they look like moss. <jk>) Because there are so many people with the green lighting. That is why Bill wanted to see Kenny Chesney at a smaller venue in Lake Tahoe. I can definitely see why now. I am way over arena shows. Too many people. π

That stinks. We had that problem on a SW flight from New Orleans. We went to lost luggage at OAK, before we left the airport, and they brought them the next day to our home. That is surprising that they lost it on a direct flight, though. π I keep thinking more about air tags. I hope they are recovered and returned soon.

What are Diamond discounts I have seen people mentioning?
Coralc replied to ddvgww's topic in Royal Caribbean International
It is a balcony discount. They are few and far between anymore, because if the "Flash Sales" and other RC discounts are more, it does not show up. You can compare by putting in your C&A number (which will give you the larger discount) and not putting it in. I don't have the C&A discount list handy. -
It is a very different world now, Len. And way too crowded for us. We will watch on TV. Jeremy Renner is supposed to make an appearance with Anderson Cooper. He has made an amazing recovery in just a year from his horrific snowplow accident. Our neighbors went to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade a few years ago. Same stringent security measures. They watched for a while, and then went back to their hotel to watch it from the hotel and on TV. (With a bathroom. And heat. And adult beverages.) βΊοΈ Happy New Year to everyone!π

A couple of things about my mom's rotator cuff surgery. Unique, to only my mom. Apparently, she had bone spurs somewhere that severed both of them. She realized that she could no longer lift her arms up high. She told me that her whole side had turned purple. (Probably from blood draining down) π My reaction was OMG. She said it didn't hurt. And didn't go to the doctor. She had shoulder surgery on one shoulder and they removed the bone spur and tried to re-attach it. It didn't really work. And then when she moved up to the mountains, she found a new doctor who wanted to try replacing it with pig cartilage π After I don't know how many hours, he came out and said, "Your mom said you are a biologist, and I wanted to show you photos of the surgery!" He was all very excited. I said, "Okay. Fascinating." It didn't work either. About 2 days later she went into afib, and fainted. (Ambulance) And she spent a few more days in the hospital. (In her 80's). The shelf grabber was a helpful thing. I just thought the whole thing was weird. Best wishes for a wonderful recovery for Linda. @Sea Dog And I am glad that Mike is doing so well after his. @ReneeFLL

Ghosts US is really funny, and we enjoy it. We used to love Being Human, British version. The US Version was a poor imitation. In this case, we enjoy (US) Ghosts. Young couple buys mansion to turn it into an Airbnb. Ghosts make up most of the cast. She can see them, but he can't. Lighthearted comedy. Even at $300/month, we don't watch much TV but enjoy it. βΊοΈ

They always do that now. Additional cost in Specialty dining on Valentines Day, Christmas Eve., New Years, probably others. (packages are invalid) π Sorry, I don't know what the MDR menu will be. -
What's it called? I think interporting or something like that. The people that board in Rome, will do a 7 night round trip to/from Rome. Around day 5, at the port stop, the Barcelona cruisers will come onboard. They will be doing a 7 night round trip to/from Barcelona. So it will be Day 5 for the Rome passengers and Day 1 for the Barcelona passengers who will have to do muster drill and are just beginning their cruise. And then when Rome is again a port stop, the Rome passengers will disembark and new ones will board. βΊοΈ I think it mostly depends on which city you would like to visit pre-cruise.

As we are slowly purging 50+ years of accumulated stuff, we have some giveaway boxes of stuff on the front porch. We posted it on Nextdoor, but Bill will probably take most of it down to the donation center next week. However, our neighbor's kitten "Chanel" decided she was interested in specific item and wanted to grab it. It is a little stuffed animal, a hedgehog, with a felt nose and real rabbit fur pelt. We picked up a short clip on the camera of her pilfering it. πβΊοΈ https://video.nest.com/clip/614f6728e04046bb93487235f119fa58.mp4

(If you have an internet package) It sounds like maybe they don't. Set it up and try it from home first. -
But how do you get over there? We can Uber to OAK, and there are some reasonable Park/Sleep/fly hotels in San Jose. And our favorite hibachi restaurant, House of Genji is there. But SFO is just awkward. Uber, shuttles are expensive as are hotels, where we can park. So, I would be interested. βΊοΈ Never mind. I forgot. When we took my mom and friend on Alaska cruise for a 9 days, we just parked in the lot at SFO. Our international trips were much longer, so we did not park at the airport.
