  1. I have a nice story. I came home with a $75.00 slot voucher from Las Vegas in my wallet, that I had misplaced and forgotten to cash out. I thought I was probably SOL. I thought there might be some way to donate it, so I sent it back to the casino corp. with a short letter to ask if there was some sort of employee assistance fund that it could be contributed to. I actually received a nice letter in reply, along with the voucher, extending its expiration date indefinitely, until we returned. We did return in about 18 months. They were surprised, when I presented the voucher and letter, but couldn't have been nicer about it.
  2. I just used a potty chair with rails. Lid up, slides over toilet instead of using the bucket underneath. When you are much better it goes to the garage rafters. We already had a slightly higher senior toilet in our master. It seems kind of self-defeating to think you will need it forever. My thought is always to get back to full function as soon as possible. I haven't been entirely successful. but I am good with toilets everywhere! The floor holes in China, might be a challenge, unless there is something to hold onto. But my mom visited there in her 80's, so if she could do it, I should manage.
  3. Oh yes. Thanks again for the reminder to check for our own cruise. I wonder if we have luggage tags yet. I am already skipping ahead to March out of Tampa, and the things we have to book for that.
  4. I'm sorry. I hope everyone feels better soon. We just had our second boosters today. The card is full. We went with Pfizer/Pfizer/Moderna/Moderna. (That always reminds me of "The Birdcage) So, we have covered the spectrum with the current vaccines. I hope it helps. Sailing on Navigator next month. 😄
  5. Oh okay. No. Good news about the silver dollar. But no, it is not shown on your seapass. Ours still show My Time Dining.
  6. What were you looking for, UDP on the Seapass? It doesn't say anything about it on the cards. We just had it in April. They just take your cards and room number and come back with $0 receipt slips.
  7. I hope that was supposed to be trial run, and not an actual trail run! Hips heal pretty well, but even after 10 years, I'm still not a runner.
  8. Sorry. Lost my edit options. With regards to the Grandeur Costa Maya passengers, I think it was just more disconcerting to them, that they were unable to enjoy the port amenities, while stranded. And not realizing that it was not an "always open" sort of cruise port option.
  9. Thanks! You read better than we do in the US. But I sort of think that right now, they still want a negative Covid test. Maybe not? And hopefully that will change soon. At the present time, unless it is clarified, we will show up with our negative test result. Because I don't trust THEIR proofreaders.
  10. I just saw that. No fixed address required to use it. One of our neighbors is selling the RV kit on Nextdoor for $400 because they have now received the home-based service. Interesting.
  11. ISP, Falmouth and Costa Maya are all fake cruise ship towns/ports. They are only open when a ship is there. When Grandeur hit the pier in Costa Maya and was stuck for 4 days, passengers were quite upset that the port shut down on day 2. No restaurants, no drinks, shops all closed.
  12. Awesome Glacier photos! Did it calve at all while you were there? Hubbard did a couple of times when we visited, but we always seemed to be walking the other direction. We would hear the crack! and the crowd noise and turn to see ripples in the water. The orca photos are cool. All the terrestrial wildlife were still in hibernation or lost in the snow last time we were on an Alaska cruise. We never would have been able to see a mountain goat in the snow, so it is nice that you sort of spotted one.
  13. It was good, wasn't it? It is a Ron Howard film, and very well done. It is also available on Amazon Prime Video. Colin Farrell actually played a normal person.
  14. They used to have a beer/wine package that was $45/per day. (Select Package) It was probably too difficult for them to keep track of it.
  15. Don't worry about the boosters for a US departure. But (at the present time) you will need to find somewhere in Miami to get tested. That could change before your sailing.
  16. IIRC, the freshwater pools started with Freedom and the Freedom class.
  17. Oh probably. They will do whatever makes you happy. I think we had Chops that night, and the waiter said something about lobster night. We are not fans. Crab is a whole different story. I think they won't let you go hungry.
  18. Ours are pokey. I guess I will have to ask for new ones.
  19. Our Setsail passes say Suite for JS on Navigator. That's the important one for us, so we can go in the shorter line.
  20. That is so funny @Sea Dog. You mentioned something about check in for your September cruise. And I was like, "Oh!" . I wonder when ours is? So, thanks. It is tomorrow. I would have totally blown it off without the reminder. I'm not getting as excited about cruising as I used to.
  21. With the exception of a couple, that is the problem we have had. It took literally 3 months for the deck to be completed and 10 months for the kitchen. No one seems to understand what a slloowww process this is.
