Try going to the Passport Office on Prince of Wales Drive. Hundreds of people, all with appointments…and lots of security. My dental office is there, that’s why I see them. No one is allowed inside the Office until their name is called, so they’re all lined up and down the public hallways. Only 3 staff members, I believe, to keep them ‘safe’….but the public isn’t considered important as we have to walk through them to get to our other appointments, so, we’re not ‘safe’. My passport expires in Aug 2023….I dread the day I have to join that line!

I corrected my suggestion. See post #3.

Those wee bitty surface floating stuff are called ‘berger bits’. Newfoundland has some very impressive icebergs too if you ever want to go there.

Okay, you caught that! I didn’t know that Saint was never shortened…learn something new everyday!

Or try the thread Wonderful Copenhagen….right at the top of this page..

There’s a thread on CC called Danish Viking which may be better suited to finding your specific answers. Some very knowledgeable people answer all your questions about Copenhagen. I have been there twice and am going back next year. I feel that every area is safe. I took the Metro from the airport to my hotel in Nyhavn, but didn’t pay attention to the accessibility of travel. Good Luck with planning your trip.

I understand your dissatisfaction at having to endure loud, rude, mouthy, participants. Endured that at an upscale restaurant when taking my parents out to dinner. We even asked the staff if they could talk to the party and ask them to tone it down…that lasted 3 minutes. Those people absolutely ruined our nice dinner. Too bad the host of the CT wouldn’t stare down the noise-makers. Teach them a lesson in manners. If that had been my CT experience and the host wouldn’t address the disturbance, then I’d be a Guest Services asking for a refund.

Try being kind and accepting instead of opinionated and judgemental. I’m sure you have no idea of what I speak, so give it a while to let those words sink in….kindness…acceptance….or look them up in the dictionary if you don’t know their meaning. -

So judgemental..my goodness! Why care what someone else does or how they do it. It’s not hurting you or affecting your life. No need to criticize if others do things differently than you! Say nice things or say nothing. -
Those are a great idea. I just ordered a pair of them. Thanks for the idea!!

Just realized I've been on CC for 20 YEARS!!!!
ladysail2 replied to June Bug's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Anyone who has been here a long time remember when the whole system crashed and we had to start from zero again? I’ve been here 20 years, but had to restart in 2004. Lots of folks were so upset that they lost their thousands of postings. But what can you do? It wasn’t the end of the world..🤣 -
Since it can take a week or so for records to be updated…I would bring proof of your current point count. After the first cruise, take your Sail & Sign card and perhaps a copy of your first cruise’s purchases invoice to the Loyalty Ambassador on the ship. Hopefully she/he can give you Diamond privileges. Hopefully it will happen for you. Good Luck!

I really appreciate all the answers too. I cruise out of Southampton in November but am staying in London for 4 days beforehand. I will be printing these suggestions in case I still need them at that time. I’ve looked into getting the rapid antigen test done at Boots..not too far from my hotel. I believe the cost is £30. Does sound reasonable? My ship is the new Carnival Celebration, and it will be my first cruise in 2.5 years…I’m so excited!! -
I rarely set up a credit card account. As soon as I board, I go to Guest Services and give them about $200 in a Cash Account. They give me a receipt. I prepay most of everything….gratuities, gifts, soda, and anything else I can prepay. I keep all my receipts for any ship purchases, drinks, etc. and double check my cash account from time to time…just in case. If I do spend beyond the $200, I can still settle my bill with my credit card, or with more cash. I’ve never had that problem of being charged after I leave the ship either, as some people have had.
