  1. DH and I are fans of the big ships, and trying out new ships. However, since this is your first cruise, and Harmony is great, I would pick that if I were you, especially with the cost savings 🙂
  2. I think it will always be “late” now. I think they added a game to the seasons. Maybe. I should probably pay more attention when my DH talks about football 😉
  3. Thanks so much! I will make sure to cash out before our first sailing ends!!!
  4. Good point. I’ll try to figure out how to switch.
  5. Do I need to notify someone that we are doing a B2B? Would notifying the suite concierge be enough?
  6. I’ve never taken my rings off. I think on our honeymoon cruise 24 years ago, I “turned” my ring, so the diamonds were more concealed. The only other cruise I did this on, was our Mediterranean one. I never have even given it a thought on our other ones. I guess I’d only worry about it now, if I was going to go snorkeling, and my rings were loose.
  7. On a related note- how do we go about “cashing in” the points for OBC? This is the first time we will have enough points to worry about this… I’ll be hosting slot pulls on our B2B, and will be accruing more points than what we feel comfortable gambling away..
  8. Makes sense that the tragic Vikes game was in a bar, so people could drown their tears in a beer 😞. I’m almost glad we are out of the playoffs! I monitored my pulse during some of our games this year, and it was off the charts- I wonder how many people had heart attacks because of the stress!!!
  9. We are Oasis class fans, and we loved them both! Either of them will give you a good feel for Oasis class, and if you like one, you can always do the other one later 🙂. I know there are a few differences (that I can’t remember), so I suggest Thinking about what is important to you, then compare the differences between the ships.
  10. What is the most convenient and effective way to alert the MDR that you won’t be eating there for dinner, any night? Last time that we got the UDP, we had almost daily voicemails from the MDR “looking forward to seeing us”. I had told our suite concierge that we wouldn’t be using the MDR, but apparently that didn’t work. It’s not that I hated the VMs- I hated the fact that us not being there was probably holding up our table mates from a timely meal… also hated that us not being there “wasted” an early time slot for traditional dining, that others could have used.
  11. I can’t speak to Harmony/Wonder… but on Indy the opening was a good size- no issue for a rounder person.
  12. To us, it felt like a more upscale, peaceful experience. Food might have not been way better than MDR, however, food was always hot (unlike MDR).
  13. We were SHOCKED when they had the singing waiters on Oasis, in Feb 2020. We hadn’t seen that in years..
  14. Is there a post-cruise excursion offered from Port Canaveral to the Orlando airport? If so, what flight time home do they recommend (ex- after 4pm).
  15. If I were traveling with 5 others, I would definitely want to split the cost of an over the water cabana at the Beach Club!!! When I was there with DH, we did the loungers there, and really liked it 🙂. Peaceful, upgraded food, uncrowded pool right there, awesome view! The cabanas looked so nice! After lunch, we left the area, walked around, then came back.
  16. We booked the beach club, and found our loungers on the beach to be peaceful.
  17. When I was researching, I noticed that not all clamshells had a good view, so we got a daybed instead. We loved it, and would definitely do it again! Note, we are all about 1- good view 2 - comfy shady spot for DH 3 - comfy sunny spot for me 4 - proximity to a bar 5 - not a lot of people around us.
  18. In addition to the 2 bottles of wine per stateroom, you can bring on a 12 pack of water or soda
  19. Are the alcoholic beverages at the bar on the outside suite deck free? If so, what are the hours? When are the free alcoholic beverages offered inside the suite lounge? This will be our first time in a suite on the Oasis class, and I'm super excited 🙂
  20. Ok, thanks!! Glad to hear about the foot traffic... It was the primary reason why I picked that side of the ship. Now, I just have to wait 2 years to see what it's like 🙂
  21. Hooked is my favorite restaurant. I'd eat there every night, if DH was ok with it 🙂 Wonderland is fun to do once- we've tried it once on every ship we've been on, that has it. If we have the UDP, we like to go to Playmakers a few times for lunch or late night snacks.
  22. I would suggest calling RCI, and getting your reservation numbers “linked”, if you haven’t already. That will help to ensure that you are all seated together 🙂
