  1. I’ve been trying to research that cruise this morning…. And it’s odd that while I can find articles, I can’t find a lot about Miray or how to book this cruise… it seems a little sketch?
  2. Oh, and I’ve heard that some people bring their own beach toys. We brought our snorkeling stuff, but didn’t use it.
  3. We have no kids, however we DID explore it fully last time we were there, so I will try my best to answer your questions 🙂. I think no water park pass is needed for the 2 & 5 year olds. Plenty of free options that little kids seemed to enjoy 🙂. Honestly, they could get by with spending no $$, unless they want souvenirs 🙂. For the ones without kids…. We are fans of a low stress, non-crowded beach, and did the Beach Club. We loved it!!! It comes with an “upgraded” lunch that includes lobster. We had the free booze package on that sailing, and the server came asap when we put up our little “we need a drink” flag 🙂
  4. I realized that we are getting our first crystal block soon. Curious if anyone had this experience - If we don’t actually get it on our 140 pt sailing, and I am persistent with calling C&A, will I get mailed the block for the right ship?
  5. We did this excursion last week, and enjoyed it. We had only been to LA for work things previously, and this was our first time getting to see touristy stuff. Our tour guide did ask if anyone was going to a hotel, or was everyone flying home. Not sure what they would have done if someone was in a hotel- all of us were flying home.
  6. We bought at least 5 bottles of wine on our Mediterranean cruise, and RCL didn’t seem to care 🙂. I’m really don’t think there is a limit.
  7. I know many people are annoyed by all of the onboard photographers- but we like it 🙂. We take as many pics as possible, so that we can get the perfect one to take home. We were just on a Navigator B2B, and there was hardly any photo ops… just one or two a night. Is this the new normal, or just a ship based thing? thanks!!
  8. We just got back from a B2B. We did not have the UDP for the 2nd part. We didn’t find the new menus awful, but we did have issues finding food we wanted some nights. While the Caesar salad and steak were available all 4 nights, nothing else was repeated.
  9. Sorry, I have no MDR menu pics… but I do have a bunch of food pics from the specialty restaurants 🙂
  10. Thanks! We are usually overly cautious… for example, on our last sailing out of San Pedro, our LAX flight moves to 11, so we switched to a 4pm flight.
  11. Just got off Navigator this week, and thought I should post a food review… My husband and I (dinks), have cruised a bit over the past 24.5 years. This was our 14th and 15th sailing. When we first started out, we did a few Carnival and Norwegian sailings, but now we are loyal to Royal (but might try Celebrity). We did the 7 day with UDP, and the 4 day without it. We were in a 1BRGS. We really enjoyed all of the specialty restaurants. Hooked and Jaime’s were our favorite, and we did them each 3 times. The only negative was that when we went to Johnny rockets on a sea day, they were very understaffed, and it was taking 20 minutes for people to get their food. All of the food was good to amazing 🙂 The suite breakfast at Chops was good every day except the last one. The menu is small but we liked the options. On the departure day, our order was wrong, and the food was cold. Breakfast and lunch in the MDR was also good, however, almost every time, part of our order was wrong. But, not so wrong that we didn’t enjoy it 🙂 Dinner in the MDR was ok… service was quick and friendly, but we sometimes struggled to find something we wanted on the menu. Food was always hot. Going forward, we’ll probably stick to the UDP. We found breakfast and lunch in the windjammer to be awful… it felt like the selection was smaller than in the past, food quality was poor to mediocre, and often cold to barely warm. We will try to avoid it completely in the future. I would often order a small “pre-breakfast” from room service, since it was free with a suite, and I usually wake up 2-3 hours before my husband. While it always tasted great, it was always wrong (either additional things I didn’t order, things missing, or both). It didn’t bother me, but it would have bothered me if we had paid the $7.95 delivery fee in addition to tips. I will say- every single staff member we encountered was awesome 🙂 Feel free to ask me any questions 🙂
  12. We just booked RCI Mariner for next Feb out of port Canaveral. Ideally we would like to book a transfer from RCI to the airport. How late does our flight home out of Orlando need to leave?
  13. I have a friend who has been sailing royal for years, who was also on this sailing. She said it was one of her worst cruising experiences. 😞
  14. I heard it from a person on my upcoming sailing, on our social media site. She said she called them, and they said “they don’t do this on that class of ship”. Sounded wrong to me. I will post an update here within a week 🙂
  15. We are in a GS on Navigator. Is it true that the concierge does NOT contact you before sailing? If so, I’m bummed… the one and only thing I was going to ask them for was to set up my UDP reservations in advance 😞
  16. I posted mine on our sailings social media site, and on our sailing on cc
  17. Also- many people can share a 1 device plan, they just can’t be online at the same time. It is not breaking a rule. My husband and I have done this for years.
  18. Before you finalize the payment, the app will show you the cost. After you have completed the ride, you have an option to leave a tip. I have never been charged an incorrect amount. UberX are bigger vehicles, so you can fit more people/luggage. Comment- price varies for the same ride, depending on time of day, demand, etc.
  19. That is the one thing that makes me nervous about my upcoming slot pulls- the jackpot. Note, I did not put the 20% thing in my rules, but it’s tempting for next time. Yes, I get the points added to my card, but it’s only 4 points per participant.
  20. How long did it take for the pull? The two I’m doing now have over 40 people each!
