  1. Well if she adamant let her try if you think you get a better deal. Remember booking through US agent you have to add taxes to it plus your Gratuities are not included in the fare like they are if you book within Australia. Also factor in the exchange rate as she do the booking in US dollars.
  2. Not permitted for Australians/NZ to book with overseas agent unless they have done it in the past. This rule have been around for over a decade. Its to protect the local travel agent market. I would suggest that your Australians friends book directly with Princess and then watch out for any price drops which they can get adjusted up until final payment. Certain cruises in Australia sell out very quickly.
  3. Princess is very good at assisting at the port if you haven't managed to complete everything online. Just ensure they have printouts of all their paperwork including insurance (If required) and any travel documentation like passport or drivers license (depending on where they cruising).
  4. Yes thanks for pointing that out. However, checking Princess site there nothing showing for Coral for November 2025 to April 2026. Maybe all will be revealed by the end of the month.
  5. Not Coral the Princess ship. Coral the person on this site with that username.
  6. This is the information i read on another site. 2025-2026 Asia season will go on sale Mar 28 to the general public (Mar 27 for Elite Captain’s Circle® Members, an exclusive early booking window). In addition, princess will have also added 11 more voyages, ranging 9 to 22 days, roundtrip Tokyo, to the 2025 Japan season. My PVP in Australia confirmed that they were coming too. But I haven't received any email or anything about the itineraries and its like 8 days away (because its the 19 March 2024 here). I'm hoping Coral has all the information.
  7. I was a teenager in the 80s in NZ. And I can remember that it was a area of the hairspray can. Not that I used hairspray much as I hated the way it felt on my hair. Anyway, good that the layer has improved. I wish they would take the plastic issue seriously.
  8. I've heard plenty of lectures over the decades from elites telling us we must do this for the environment and all the while they preaching they doing the exact opposite. Back in the 80s it was don't use aersol cans because of the ozzone layer. Still today aersol cans are still easily purchased. Like the Green Bag when it came in I thought it was a great idea. But then no one would mandate it and so it slipped back to plastic bags and then supermakets began wrapping everything in plastic and still do today. So they moved to paper bags. But hey didn't they only a couple of decades ago ban paper bags. Go figure. Do I believe we should be doing more for the environment Yes. Do I take note of Elites or activists preaching about the environment. No.
  9. They should be going for smaller ships not larger ones.
  10. Your sister would get a more accurate cost price if she looks up on the website at her end or in her booking to what it would cost to upgrade.
  11. They not going to give offers to people who don't spend onboard. They want you to be loyal and spend on board 😄
  12. Do you spend much money on board? I think that sometimes plays into who gets offers and who doesn't.
  13. What do they charge per day for the beverage packages ? And what do you get in them. I haven't cruised Celebrity since 2016 so bit out of the loop. Good deal is the key. I haven't really seen any good deals from Celebrity of late.
  14. Carnival got some good deals. I've still getting offers for $1000 OBC on some cruises. But I can't pull the trigger because I have to fly to either Sydney or Brisbane and the crusies dont interest me. Its depressing looking for cruises when your home port is Melbourne.
  15. That why I haven't sailed on RCL or Celebrity in Australian waters due to their high prices and US exchange rate.
  16. I raised similiar point on the Royal Princess about the lack of Australian/NZ wines available especially when Princess is cruising in this region. From what I can gather is Princess seem to have a deal with a big Calfornia wine maker and have a lot of their wines on board (not that great in my opinion). I raised the point with Sommelier he but was somewhat rude to me about it all and started arguing with me in the Crown Grill over it all. I actually complained about him (first time I ever had to complain about Princess crew member) stating I wasn't their to have an argument and I was simply wanting him to acknowledge my point that their was a lack of variety of wines available. He came over later on to apologise. I believe its Caymus Vineyards.
  17. Unless he wanted to cruises down to NZ/Australia region. Spent 20 days on the Grand in March 2023. It was fine. No compliants but then again not much bothers me. Went three times to Crown Grill. No issues with the food.
  18. What about booking two aisle seats opposite each other?
  19. Maybe cause your linked in booking so the system thinks you need to sit together. Is it possible to contact the organisation you booked the package to see if they can select your seats.
  20. I guess you just have to check each day. I prefer the back personally when I have to fly economy.
  21. How come. When I booked with Air NZ for my cruise in January 2024 I could pick my seats at the time I booked.
  22. https://www.seatguru.com/ or best is to log onto the airline that your booked and have a look at the available seating to choose from.
  23. Your not going to make that flight. If it was domestic yes. I've managed to get a flight to Melbourne at 9.30 am. But international I wouldn't be taking the risk. My questions are is the cruise a domestic Australian cruise or is it a South Pacific/NZ one (if so you have to factor in customs). Also just because it docks at 6.30 am they still got to wait for clearance and sometimes not everything runs to plan. What happens if its a rough coming in throug the heads. That potential delay factor too. I would book a flight that departs 1pm for NZ to be safe.
  24. Does your credit card have two way authentication. Ours does. So for transactions over $100 it sends a text to our mobile with a code which we have to enter before the transaction is processed. I also too use booking.com and always select hotels that will take your booking and then you pay on the day.
