Nope they not giving them out any more. We cruised in Suite on Royal Princess and they didn't have them at all and I saw no other passengers with them either.
Also pen and note pad seems to have vanished from rooms too.
Splendour is a weird layout. Just got to remember the Dolly PArton song and you be fine. Its not my favourite Carnival ship (mainly due to layout), but the staff were fantastic on there. We had some very good dining room staff.
Nothing wrong with staying in Auckland for a week. There is heaps to see. Also Auckland does have a fairly good public bus system. Plus there is the ferries to the Islands too.
I have done longer cruises and found that some Princess activities during the day can be stale. Not trivia fans (certain cruisers can get very upset at trivia and I aint on a cruise for dramas) and sometimes we do the theatre. But some how we manage to fill in our days. We are great nappers.
What the definition of the right travel insurance. That they got any insurance or that its with a particular company/insurer.
Carnival checks this at check in time.
Dont those noodles who acquired the billard balls know that there is cameras all over the ship. Have there been any off loading of passengers at any ports yet or have the balls been returned.
Pete and I sail on her on 28 December from Sydney to Auckland. We both splashed out and sailing in a Suite with Prenuim package for our birthdays and Xmas pressie. And last drinks for me for a several months. We meant to sail on her in April to Japan but that might be off the cards.
I'm disappointed too. Because travelling up to Sydney or Brisbane can add up to $1000 on your journery. You have to factor in accommodation, flights, meals, parking at airport.
The itinerary will have to tempt me to fly to those ports.
Okay. The new programme of sailings open today for Elite. So I put a couple of holds on some cruises out of Australia. I wanted to put a hold on the cruise on the Discovery Princess but I couldn't find anything I like.
At the moment I have holds on the following:
Grand Princess 37 day South Pacfic/Hawaii, Taihiti and what makes it more interesting they threw in stops in Norfolk Island, Samoa and Tonga. Oct 16 2025
11 Day PNG Cruise Grand Princess 24 March 2026
Did anyone else put holds on or book anything from today release.
I've done the Anartatic Tour and then onto the Air Force Museum. But I just paid the ships tour. I couldn't be bothered with local buses and especially since there was two stops to get too. But it was well worth the money paid for.
But if its only one stop probably do able.
