  1. I have been thinking for months. They could have just raised the price. Remember surcharges? Would that have pleased everyone! I think the thread would be longer than 'how are you today'
  2. I realise I am probably telling you something you already know, but I have just been checking this excursion and realise it is just star gazing on mt.Teide. Not the observatory. I thought I would mention as I don't want to mislead you, sorry
  3. I think this confirms the new ships are going to be a different experience. We have a cruise booked on Iona and I am looking forward to trying all the new restaurants and entertainment facilities We only ate in MDR every night because that was where the food was. I think different restaurants will suit us. Also it may be quicker. We are leave after we have eaten. Rather than hang around.
  4. Thanks. That could be a plan for us. We thought we would just have a bimble about, but I do like a destination as it stops the decisions over which street to take 🙂
  5. Yes. Are we on the same cruise? The excursion leaves at 5/5.30 pm. It should be excellent. I think it's the biggest telescope in Europe.
  6. We are going to Tenerife on Iona in March and the observatory is offered as an evening excursion. For us it was a toss up between that and cable car to top of Teide. Lanzarote we are visiting Manrique's house made in the lava tunnels. It is offered as an excursion, but should be easy in a taxi as it is close to the port. I haven't been inspired by anything in Gran Canaria yet. There is an evening excursion in Lisbon but you have to make your own way back to the ship. It doesn't look far, but there are two of us. You may not want to do it on your own.
  7. I'm sorry but 'I am on my way' could not be any clearer. I don't think anyone would not be able to understand that
  8. I didn't know about this. I wasn't even sure what you were talking about. Then...... noticed a little 'follow' button at the bottom of the page. I haven't clicked it though. There is far too much pinging going on my phone anyway
  9. I have it in my basket at the moment. That is how I know all the details. An extra £20 on board is very excessive. I wasn't doubting you I just thought the excursion was slightly different.
  10. The P&O trip visits a view point first. The tea is in a private area. Booking on your own tea is on the terrace. The price is £56 with P&O
  11. On our cruise the Beach House was only available to book on board. Go for the starter Dave, you're on holiday!
  12. It is very easy to book this. If any tickets are available. I don't know about special conditions for disabilities. I would advise you to be careful if non are available. This is a very popular excursion and there is quite a rush when the gate is opened
  13. I think it was about 2-3 days. You receive an email saying it is added. Then another from P&O with your revised confirmation showing your extra obc
  14. I also got an email. I will definitely make a donation to an excellent charity and maybe get seats. It isn't compulsory so if you don't want to see the show or donate you don't need to.
  15. It could possibly be to try and alleviate the queues on Arvia. If you can only book earlier times. It may encourage more people to do so. They could then be fed and watered and leaving before the rush at 7.30p.m.
  16. You won't be able to see which ports have shuttles anywhere. If there is any distance to be walked a shuttle will be provided
  17. Just a thought. If the ceremony is on the beach, and the ship at sea. It's going to take a rather fit person to chuck the bottle of champagne and break it!🤣
  18. It's Pepsi on P&O. No problems taking water and soft drinks
  19. Yes I agree, half day probably won't be long enough. I wouldn't fancy the walk down. Plays havoc with your knees
  20. Probably to stop everyone handling it also
  21. Your dining option sounds perfect. It seems to be what everyone posting wants. They just won't pay extra for it!!
