  1. It's a lot of time commitment but I swear by the book "Pain Free" by Egoscue.
  2. You should go to your cabin unless you feel like the ship is actively sinking. You need warm clothes, any essential meds, and your lifejacket.
  3. I'm on a similar cruise right now and we did the Princess pre-cruise hotel in LA. The pickup from the airport was just the hotel shuttle but we were met by Princess reps and escorted. The hotel was nice (airport Marriott). The next morning was a bit of a hassle as we had to put our suitcases out to be picked up by 8, and then we had to lurk around in the lobby for around an hour waiting for the transfer. But all in all I was happy with it. In FLL, the airport is so near the cruise port I wouldn't bother doing the Princess package. Also, you probably don't need a post-cruise hotel unless you want to enjoy Fort Lauderdale on your own after the cruise.
  4. You might like to look at Atlas Ocean Voyages. Very generous bathrooms, great food, smaller ships. Drinks and gratuities are included. You get 1gb per person for wifi for free. There is a free sauna (coed) and 2 hot tubs but not a full thermal suite.
  5. We did not change terminals so I'm not sure if my answer is helpful but we did not have to retrieve and recheck luggage. It just stayed on the plane which we reboarded.
  6. Depending where OP is based. In North America usually the deposit is refundable.
  7. Check the cancellation schedule on your confirmation documents. You may still be able to cancel with no penalty.
  8. I never drank wine so I'm not sure, sorry! I did order champagne and Prosecco but didn't specify a brand, and was served something bubbly. Lol. I'm not even sure if the champagne I ordered was really champagne or sparkling wine. Hopefully you can report back after you go!
  9. Here are some bar menus I took pictures of. Sorry I don't have the wines or champagnes. I found the bar menus odd, the selection of free liquors is extremely limited (only one bourbon!). But what they do have is good stuff.
  10. I think it was per person, so that's something!
  11. I was in Antarctica with them, and I'm not sure if dress differs - I got the impression that Antarctica was more casual. But on our cruise few people dressed up. Regarding wifi, the speed was ok, but they limit you to 1GB per cruise. An additional GB is $80. They said they are looking into increasing it since now they have Starlink. Maybe you will be lucky and it will be increased by the time you go. I went to one trivia event and it was just ok. The cruise director did not have the teams exchange answer sheets for the results, so it was entirely on the honor system. Questions were very challenging - our team got 5/20 correct!
  12. When you look at the deck plans on Princess.com, there's a drop down by the list of available cabin types on the deck you're looking at for number of passengers. Select 3 or 4 from that and only those rooms that will hold that many will be in color on the plan.
  13. FYI, you can turn off the "roam like home" feature in your account and pay by the minute instead. It's only around $1.30/min so unless you plan to spend a lot of time on the phone, it's better to do it this way. Also, Rogers supports wifi calling. If you set that up, you can call over a wifi connection instead of using your roaming.
  14. I just did this on Air Canada, and they made us go through security in Brazil but not immigration. So no visa was required.
  15. I flew from JFK to BA on them and it was fine. However, I didn't book with them - ended up getting switched to them after my original flight was cancelled. But I had no complaints about the flight and it got me there in time.
  16. Your odds are better if it's a large chain rather than a boutique operation. You basically just have to ask. Most people don't understand what group rates are about so agencies don't tend to advertise that - rather they will say something like "exclusive low fares".
  17. Many categories are waitlisted. You should be able to join the waitlist.
  18. You give Princess $6000 for the package. They give you $4500 towards the cruise and $200 OBC. So now they have $1300 of your money for which you have received nothing. If you book the 7 days hotel, it might be in your favor, but since you don't want that, it isn't.
  19. I got this info 2 months before boarding. But I also booked the cruise 2 months before boarding! So I'm not sure if they send it earlier. We will be at the Hilton in BA. I don't know if they also use other hotels. The flight return to BA gets in at 3:15pm for my cruise. Again, not sure if this is always the case. I booked a hotel night but if you have a return flight after 6pm I would think you'd be ok.
  20. If it's before final payment, should be no problem.
  21. Not all cruise lines have gone this way. Princess and Norwegian are still doing refundable deposits without a big increase.
  22. You cannot. Just post in the roll call and ask for her email address or give her yours.
  23. Select casual dining venues will now include a cover charge of $14.99 for the new multi-course prix fixe meals. A la carte items may also be purchased individually.
