  1. Here are some bar menus I took pictures of. Sorry I don't have the wines or champagnes. I found the bar menus odd, the selection of free liquors is extremely limited (only one bourbon!). But what they do have is good stuff.
  2. I think it was per person, so that's something!
  3. I was in Antarctica with them, and I'm not sure if dress differs - I got the impression that Antarctica was more casual. But on our cruise few people dressed up. Regarding wifi, the speed was ok, but they limit you to 1GB per cruise. An additional GB is $80. They said they are looking into increasing it since now they have Starlink. Maybe you will be lucky and it will be increased by the time you go. I went to one trivia event and it was just ok. The cruise director did not have the teams exchange answer sheets for the results, so it was entirely on the honor system. Questions were very challenging - our team got 5/20 correct!
  4. When you look at the deck plans on Princess.com, there's a drop down by the list of available cabin types on the deck you're looking at for number of passengers. Select 3 or 4 from that and only those rooms that will hold that many will be in color on the plan.
  5. FYI, you can turn off the "roam like home" feature in your account and pay by the minute instead. It's only around $1.30/min so unless you plan to spend a lot of time on the phone, it's better to do it this way. Also, Rogers supports wifi calling. If you set that up, you can call over a wifi connection instead of using your roaming.
  6. I just did this on Air Canada, and they made us go through security in Brazil but not immigration. So no visa was required.
  7. I flew from JFK to BA on them and it was fine. However, I didn't book with them - ended up getting switched to them after my original flight was cancelled. But I had no complaints about the flight and it got me there in time.
  8. Your odds are better if it's a large chain rather than a boutique operation. You basically just have to ask. Most people don't understand what group rates are about so agencies don't tend to advertise that - rather they will say something like "exclusive low fares".
  9. Many categories are waitlisted. You should be able to join the waitlist.
  10. You give Princess $6000 for the package. They give you $4500 towards the cruise and $200 OBC. So now they have $1300 of your money for which you have received nothing. If you book the 7 days hotel, it might be in your favor, but since you don't want that, it isn't.
  11. I got this info 2 months before boarding. But I also booked the cruise 2 months before boarding! So I'm not sure if they send it earlier. We will be at the Hilton in BA. I don't know if they also use other hotels. The flight return to BA gets in at 3:15pm for my cruise. Again, not sure if this is always the case. I booked a hotel night but if you have a return flight after 6pm I would think you'd be ok.
  12. If it's before final payment, should be no problem.
  13. Not all cruise lines have gone this way. Princess and Norwegian are still doing refundable deposits without a big increase.
  14. You cannot. Just post in the roll call and ask for her email address or give her yours.
  15. Select casual dining venues will now include a cover charge of $14.99 for the new multi-course prix fixe meals. A la carte items may also be purchased individually.
  16. I had clients on Caribbean recently and they said the ship was very old and tired. Not a good review at all. Same clients enjoyed Enchanted.
  17. I just thought I'd mention that I got an ad email today advertising the 13 night portion of this and it starts at $2499 per guest. Not sure if that's a big drop from what you were seeing but it seems pretty cheap to me!
  18. There are solo discounts on the Summit Panama canal cruise in April and the following Pacific coastal, just saw these today.
  19. Not sure of your state, but in mine, this is the wording: sickness, injury or death to yourself, a traveling companion, or members of either of your immediate families which is diagnosed and treated by a physician at the time your cruise vacation is terminated. I'm sorry you had to cancel your cruise, I hope your family member is doing okay.
  20. I thought family member illness was a covered reason, shouldn't you get cash instead of FCC?
  21. I know it's too late for GICNJC, but for others reading this thread, here's the official answer from the Brazilian government. I found this by using the Air Canada Sherpa tool. Tourism and Transit (VIVIS) — Ministério das Relações Exteriores (www.gov.br) Transit in national territory: a VIVIS will not be required in case of a stopover or flight connection in Brazil, as long as the visitor does not leave the international transit zone and holds a single ticket (under a single booking reference, stating both the origin and the final destination, regardless of multiple stops or multiple carriers). If the traveller does not benefit from visa waiver and holds separate tickets, having to go through border / passport control when disembarking, s/he must obtain a VIVIS.
  22. You don't need to pay. There are guides at the staircase who will hit you up for tips in exchange for information. But you can decline their help. It is maybe a 20 minute walk? I don't remember exactly but it wasn't very far.
  23. Regular dessert is fine. The premium desserts are stupid.
  24. Did people dress up for dinner?
