  1. On the Celebration last week, the chat feature rarely worked. Every time I tried to open the chat function, I just kept getting a screen that said, “trying to connect.”
  2. Just got back from the Celebration, and our fan was in our checked luggage with no problem. Of course, we embarked during the fiasco of the port of Miami being closed/delayed, so I’m not sure if our experience would have been different with a “regular” embarkation day.
  3. I’m close to having that muster briefing beat. I was in the Celebration on 6/25 that was delayed by the closing or the port of Miami. Once we boarded at 9:15 PM…..yes….PM, we went to muster. The guy scanned my card and handed it back to me and said, “thanks, you’re done.” Ummmm….WHAT? He said, “you’re gold…you’ve been through this before and know what you’re doing. Thanks.” Adios, amigo.
  4. I was thrilled to see Billy D. Washington on the Celebration last week. I went to 2 of his shows. He didn’t disappoint.
  5. Just got off the Celebration yesterday. We never buy the internet package, and only the use the Hub app with the chat feature. Therefore, we had our phones in Airplane mode and used the ship’s Wi-Fi. We were quite surprised to find that we could get texts (and no pictures) with other iPhone users. At times, I had to tell my family that I was putting the phone away so that I could enjoy my vacation.
  6. Did you happen to spend a lot of time in the Alchemy Bar? I was there quite regularly myself, and I overheard a woman talking about her sone and talking about several upcoming cruises.
  7. Wow! I played in Cabo (Cabo Real), but that was on a land vacation. I’m getting on the Celebration tomorrow, 6/25/23, to celebrate my 30th anniversary. I can say with 100% certainty that I wouldn’t be celebrating my 30th if I tried to play golf on all of those cruise stops.
  8. Megan - I also check in on the chat function of the Galveston cruise cameras. One guy just posted that he got back from his Greek isles cruise last week. He said he won’t go back, because Greece is not a clean country with a lot of litter and tagging. I didn’t see that from any of your pictures, and didn’t see you make any of those observations.
  9. Pretty sure you don't need to explain your parenting techniques to strangers in an online forum. Speaks more to them feeling it necessary to comment to you about how you're raising YOUR child.
  10. Self control is a challenge for my wife in the casino and me at the bars while on a cruise. (I don't have an answer to your question.)
  11. Whoa! Been a while since I’ve seen you on here. I always enjoyed reading your reviews. Hope you’re well.
  12. We’ve stayed in the Brickell area previously before a cruise, and are staying there again for the Celebration 2 weeks from tomorrow. I know there are a lot of bars and restaurants in the area. We are getting into Miami at about 5:00pm on the 24th, so not a lot of time for sightseeing for us.
  13. I’d fit right in to find an urge to drink outside of a pub.
  14. Not really. They’re probably spending about $50 USD for a few Fireball shots that should cost about $3.00 USD (I’m purely speculating on the liquor and the cost - but NOT what it would cost me at home to make my own.)
  15. Pretty sure I hear that same phrase from my wife when she packs for a vacation….or any other time for that matter.
  16. Is that supposed to be a biscuit and gravy? If so, it's not like any biscuit and gravy I've ever had.
  17. Looked like a great alternative port. I’m certain we couldn’t do as much walking as it appeared that you did.
  18. Pulled out the Celebration deck plans and re-read your review so that I could follow along for my upcoming cruise. Thanks again for the very detailed review.
  19. I’m tired just reading about all of the walking. My sea day would be spent sleeping on a lounger all day with a beer bucket by my side.
