  1. Here’s what I envision if I had as many beverages as Sid, Greg and Megan - have 2 drinks, nap for 2 hours, have 2 drinks, nap for 2 hours, etc. Rinse and repeat.
  2. I’m pretty confident I wouldn’t make even it halfway there.
  3. Even one of the 6 month old puppies is conked out in my lap, although he didn’t share in my gin and tonic.
  4. I confirmed today what I already suspected. There’s no chance in **** that I could keep up with Megan. I had 2 double gin and tonics for dinner and I’m ready to sleep until tomorrow. Nearing the big 6-0 age has something to do with it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  5. Oh, my is absolutely right. I’d be finished for the entire cruise!
  6. I just flew out of Love Field a few weeks ago. Yes, the luggage check line is long, but it moves surprisingly fast.
  7. Great, my liver has just recovered from Megan’s last cruise, and now it’s time to start over. Have a great cruise!
  8. I just assumed she’d be in the Alchemy. That’s where she was when we were on the Vista earlier this summer. She is tremendous!
  9. My new all time favorite Carnival employee is on the Celebration. Dajana is in the Alchemy Bar.
  10. Dream now at the pier in Galveston. I have friends boarding the Dream today and other friends boarding the Dream on Saturday for a 14 trip to the Panama Canal.
  11. Here comes the Dream nearing the Galveston harbor.
  12. Is the Maitre'd's name Larisa? That sure looks like her. She was on 2 of my previous cruises.
  13. Those plate styles were always the highlight of my cruises.
  14. If it was me, I’d check the daily schedule while I’m ON the ship to determine my daily lunch plans.
  15. Never thought I’d see THIS comment from Megan where she said she drank too much. Edited to correct my own typo.
  16. First thing I’d do is hop on the internet and ask a bunch of “strangers” what I should do with my money.
  17. I need to cleanse MY liver to read about all of the drinks Megan will have on her cruise. Enjoy!
  18. We went to LFK when we stopped in Roatan on our Vista cruise at the end of July. They allowed us to pay when we arrived rather than pre-pay. A few of items to watch out for: 1. If you do the monkey/sloth tour as part of your day through LFK, it's a cluster trying to get them to drive you to and from the place, which is right down the street. It's also a cluster trying to get one of the staff to take you back to the cruise port when it was time to leave. People who booked the LFK trip through a 3rd-party vendor received much better service. 2. We were eaten alive by sand flies. I had to get steroids from my doctor due to the terrible itching from the DOZENS of bites. Make sure to bring bug spray. In all of our previous cruises, we've never experienced that problem. 3. Make sure you're clear UP FRONT with your server if you get the full island tour regarding the food/drink tokens that are provided and included. He told us we could use our tokens to order anything off the menu. When it came time to leave, he insisted that it was NOT the case, and that you only got the "island plate" for the food, and that we could not use the free tokens since we ordered something different off the menu.
  19. How in the world did you transition from pictures of drinks, overheard conversations and putt putt golf to a picture of kids on playground equipment in 1900? 🤔
  20. We, too, asked our steward on the Vista earlier this month for evening service, and he did the service mid-morning every day.
  21. Like a lot of other comments, I was amazed by the number of stops that Greg visited yesterday, among those a Mets game AND Wicked while at the same time eating and drinking beers. I’d like to see what his path of travel throughout New York would look like at the end of his sightseeing, much like the old Family Circus comic strips (did that age me or what?).
  22. Much like most of the others - drop of luggage in the room, head straight to Guy's, have a Funship then head to muster. I could not be happier with the new muster drill since the pandemic. Standing in the oppressive heat in the middle of the summer in Texas with all of my closest friends during the muster was miserable - at best.
  23. My wife and I took a city tour, and the lunch stop was Katz’s Deli. On my own, I would not have previously stopped there. After having the pastrami sandwich, I would never hesitate to stop there again.
  24. Alchemy doesn't give out any straws. At least they didn't on the Vista last week.
