I know you are a happy Yankee fan today.I have something interesting to tell you .The son of one of my wife’s friends went to college and became good friends with a guy who was a MLB pitcher for several teams,briefly for the Mets and parts of two seasons for the Yankees. His name is Allen Watson.It seems that one day Watson was horsing around with his teammates and threw a bagel at one of them.The guy ducked just as George Steinbrenner was coming into the clubhouse and the bagel hit him.He did not see who threw it and asked who did.Watson replied that it was him.Steinbrenner then said “I knew it was you Allen because it did not hurt.”

We had a great TA who we used for about 15 years.Then he retired but referred us to a friend of his.She gave those who booked with her gifts.The first cruise was a canvas bag.Every cruise thereafter became a better gift. A friend of mine since Elementary School retired last year after nearly 50 years as a Professor of Political Science at The University of Hawaii-Maui.To him living in Hawaii all these years has been pure paradise.

In 1961 I worked with a cousin of Johnny Mathis.She told all of us that Johnny would be a huge star one day.He is 87 now and he has had a great career.
