what you say is true for you & those with small appetites but for those who want a better dining experience ,X is not filling that want .Thus ,in time that will be shown in lower bookings ,just a matter of time

Cutting back for food waste is lower food cost speak . what once was Xs client base will find other lines to cruise . Holland America is a alternative line & so is Princess for those who can't afford the suite life of the luxury cruise lines .Also Woe to the cruise business with consumers now cutting back on spending per Execs at Home Depot & WalMart .

imo X is screwing with the wrong items that makes cruising what it is , as all inclusive . Decreasing food selections & quality while raising fares may work for a short time but long time is a totally another story .There are many other lines that can easily replace what people once got on X & perhaps at a better over all experience

Definitely upholster the worn out seats in the Lido & no doubt some cabin furnishings

Can you get Allianz for a yearly insurance . Then all trips both land ,air & cruises are covered .I checked into it & it is just what we needed & at a great price .Saves us a lot of insurance cost & no need to get insurance for every trip individually . Buy once & done for the year

Were doing March 11 th & March 18th as B2B cruises , In CC I saw the March 18 but not March 11th cruise . We got a very good deal for both cruises .The March 25th cruise may not stop in Monterey because the terms that the city council just passed about the dock

We are booked on the Match 11 & 18 th Mexico Cruises on Celebrity Soltice sailing from the World Cruise Center Sam Pedro which is Los Angeles county .Prices are very good ,check them out better than others I have Roll Calls going for both cruises as well as Meet & Greets Cliff

This is what exactly happened today .I has HAL on the phone . Quite annoying for that HAL agent in Colorado to do that .We spoke with another HAL rep just today inquiring about this Sept 2023 14 night Alaska on Noordham & we explained what happened . Now that May 2024 booking is gone ;but ,it was annoying to see them do some thing that was not authorized by us

There seems to be the luck of the draw with HALs casino dept . We are Blue Chip members with Celebrity & recently got blessed with both discounted cruises & free tips , free drink pkg & free wifi on both cruises . That alone save us a lot . Albeit they are Mexican Riviera cruises but why look a gift horse in the mouth

What type of cabins were offered ,inside ,outside or balcony ? We would have snapped at going to New Zealand on a free cruise & gladly upgrade to a balcony Seems to me there is no specific criteria for HAL Casino awards; which is strange.

Our Time Share is & has been the best buy we made . The price of even maintenance has not gone up like hotels or cruises .Of course we bought a high end time share ,Westin ;which is now in the Marriott family .We even get better deals on hotel stays being the high level we are at with Marriott

When it comes to prices of any commodity ,the law id supply & demand comes into focus .Should the prices be too high for any product or service then that product or service will sit on the shelves until the pricing is driven down . Not hard to understand

For sure No cruise line gives away any thing especially good cabins unless they feel they will make more money this way

Has any one here ever has a Holland America cruise booked by the cruise line that was not wanted ? We were interested is a 14 day Alaska cruise for May 2024 .So we phoned HAL & got a rep in Colorado on the phone .She came up with a handicap balcony cabin but in the very front of the ship on deck 6 of the Nieuw Amsterdam .We told her that was a bad location & not for us . Well a day later we get a e-mail from HAL telling us this cruise was booked for us .We returned that e-mail saying we never booked the cruise even though there was a booking number .Not a cheap cruise price This experience sends up red flags

We like to play Craps & Slots . We know to give the dealer our sign & sail card on the crap table & to place it in the slot machines ;but ,how for they determine who gets free state room offers ? Is it based on amount of dollars spent or is it based on consistency in the casino ,like playing daily ?

Talk about early rising .I take my scooter & go up to the Lido around 5AM . There are other folks there as well at that time . Easy to meet others & have a nice chat .Got to know a lot off people this way other than the Meet & Greets

We are all booked up this year .We are looking for 2024 Alaska. We have sailed on Noordam once from SD to Sydney .That was a very nice cruise .We will see if they have that on 2024 .Another thing that HAL once did was stop in Haines & in Haines in September there is a Bald Eagle rookery where thousands of them gather .There is a ferry that runs from Skagway to Haines about 45 minutes each way .

Thanks we will check them out .Then we would not be able to drive post cruise Alaska . However ,we always wanted to drive to Calgary Canada Lake Louise & come sown into Montana from Glacier National Park ,This could even be better

We like a ship not too crowded & perhaps the better one is the Zaandam with the lower wrap around promenade for viewing .Alaska is all about the viewing probabilities not the ship imo .so a smaller ship with the promenade covered could really be the best ship for Alaska in the event of inclement weather .You got me thinking 😁

When will HAL have that 14 night Alaska Cruise .We know they were doing a very long & pricy Alaska cruise but are they also doing a 14 night cruise in to Alaska ?
