We board with you tomorrow .... Once you get on the ship you go right to your room to get your room cards and you can drop your stuff there and then head out to do your muster drill. Which is so much simpler now, you will be directed to where it is for your location and you are done!!!! It is going to be a beautiful sail away !!!!

You are going to have such a great day tomorrow with sunny skies sailing between Vancouver Island and the B C coast. One of the best reasons to sail out of Vancouver is this last day.

And Juneau has a great quilt shop called Changing Tides that I visit each time we go.

Well we are on Eclipse to Hawaii next week and hubby will be wearing his Hawaiian shirts every night. Two other couples with us and the guys have ordered Hawaiian shirts to wear as well. None of them are " tuckers " So if your head will explode if you see this being done we will be eating at 6. Fair warning.

It is very unfortunate that the smoke from the wildfires will hamper everyones views of the mountains as you sail away... Have a great trip and will see you onboard for Hawaii!!!

There is a trolley to take you into town or just walk if you are able. It is my favorite Alaska port because of the lack of Jewelry stores lol. The whale watching from the path into town is worth the walk.

We were there twice in May and it is not an issue...lots of buses running back and forth with hardly any wait.

As a newbie to the Gin and Tonic drinkers is there a huge taste difference in the higher end gins?? In the 70s in Canada it was Lemon gin that we drank and it pretty much turned me off gins for all my adult life lol. A few years ago I had a Bombay Sapphire and loved it. I have a bottle of Bombay Bramble that I like and would like to branch out a bit.

Recently on Eclipse and friends bid on ocean view from inside and got concierge balcony ... we were inside and bid on balcony and that is what we got lol

We had one on the Jewel from Japan to Seattle and loved it. Because the nights were a little cooler we were able to be out every night sitting and enjoying our wine....would book again

We used to do these package deals years ago .. sailing from Vancouver to L A then the bus picks you up at the port and drives you to Las Vegas to your hotel and then to the airport, You would just be doing it in reverse. They stop halfway at Barstow which has a few stores and some fast food places. Not sure if they stop there still but that is how they used to do it.

On Eclipse a few weeks ago and they had great straws.... biodegradable that felt like plastic...I hate the paper ones and we brought our own reusable ones and they stayed in the cabin. Going to Hawaii on Eclipse with 2 other couples in September and I bought them all reusable too lol ...

We have done it twice now..We like the fact that if there is an issue with getting back we are still on a NCL excursion. The first time we did it they dropped us off right at the Coloseum... so when we booked it in 2019 our traveling partners booked the Coloseum tour for 11. We did the hop on hop off because I had a busted knee and did not really want to walk too much. Well it turned out that they dropped us off at the top of the city up by the gates... cant remember what it was called. So they had to be quick to get all the way down for the tour...they made it with time to spare but it was their first time in the city so they were a little worried lol. The first hop on spot is a fair way from the bus drop off point...well it felt like it for me with the knee...but we have been there quite a few times so there was nothing that we needed to see. Just a walkabout and a nice lunch was all I wanted. When we met back up to get on the bus there was a bit of a wait because one person was missing...they waited until the last minute when they showed up. We have done the train and now we would rather have the ease of the bus..

We were on Eclipse yes the menu changes daily but the venue does not. I love the dining room and the same wait staff every night... This was our 5th Celebrity after doing 10 ncl and we just like the vibe better on ncl and the ncl dining options that we get as perks ....and yes we can buy a package on Celebrity but for a 7 day we were okay with what we had for a short cruise. Actually my favorite Celebrity ship was the Mercury lol.. The entertainment around the ship was a two piece violin group in the atrium and they had a guitar player who was very good in Ensemble but again it was more mellow than I would have liked...does not make it bad just not to my taste. And there have been many on NCL that were not to my taste either. This trip just felt geared to an older audience from my view...does not make it right or wrong ,,,just my viewpoint

I am an NCL kinda girl and we just got off Celebrity to Alaska and this was an issue for me......I love going to O Shehans for late night munchies and the bits of stuff in the casino at 11 at night. But also just for a change of pace...We are Sapphire on NCL so we also get our specialty dinners and the Asian place is great too. We enjoyed the dinning room and the wine pairings but after 7 days I was wanting something different. It was not bad ...just felt same old same old. I did not want to be excited about going to the buffet but I was lol ....There was a few options in the buffet at night but not much...although I have to say the meatballs were amazing !!!!! We are back on Celebrity for Hawaii in September and I will enjoy it with my family but its back to NCL for us. I also found the entertainment was a little quiet... I am 62 and I think it was geared to the 85 crowd

Yes I see that ... really dont want to have to upgrade for a non premium spirit .... Top shelf whiskey I can understand but Bombay ???

So Bombay Sapphire and Guiness are not included in the classic package??? We have 2 Celebrity cruises booked and one is a 10 day to Hawaii with 5 sea days lol. We have done mostly NCL in the last few years and I just assumed these would be included like NCL does. We leave in 2 weeks to Alaska on Eclipse and now I am a little sad.

Did you have any issues with dining wait times ??? Or any supply issues ??

I dont have a menu but I love this place.... pot stickers are great, I get a noodle dish hubby gets the rice and then we share a beef and a chicken plate

We have done mostly NCL the last few years but have been on 4 Celebrity cruises a few years ago...I dont remember Bombay Sapphire and Guiness being on the premium package?? We have 2 booked on Eclipse the next few months and would rather not have to upgrade

We are getting into Honolulu a day early, we are missing a sea day and the midnight sail past the volcano... that you cant really see anyways. We are very happy with the change and will head out to the beach for the day then go back on the ship for dinner and drinks and pack.

We get an extra day in Honolulu instead of being at sea ....I think it is a win instead of a loss
