  1. Thank you!! My ship, Getaway, is not on the Amber Cove calendar in April so I'm a happy guy and my girls will be happy too. Thanks to everyone for their quick responses!!
  2. I actually am optimistic that we'll dock at Taino. Found one site that said what you said about amber cove and then I found one that specifically says it was updated at the end of December. That one shows getaway docking at Taino through the end of January and the amber cove calendar goes out to April and shows no ncl ships docking there. Fingers crossed. We'd probably stay on board if we docked in amber cove.
  3. I saw it somewhere and I'll have to look for it. I'd be disappointed if we didn't stop at Taino.
  4. Lmao!!! troll weasel This might be the funniest thing I've read on CC, EVER!!!
  5. Lmao!! Odd Couple references aside, the OP started the thread and asked the question. We don't have to ASSUME that they have an interest in Vibe. They actually said that they do by starting the thread and asking the question. And I mean no disrespect but you cannot judge VALUE without firsthand experience of this or something comparable. Having no interest, which is absolutely fine, is not the same thing. As someone who just spent, close to $900 on Vibe and having zero experience in Vibe, I want people who've been to provide their opinions of the good, the bad and the value of it. Not the perception of value from those that have no interest. I believe the OP wants the same. BTW having read Vibe threads over the years, the overwhelming opinion of those that have actually experienced Vibe, is that it's awesome and worth the money at every price point. It's why I've finally, having the opportunity, bought these passes for me, my wife and daughter. I thank all those that have shared their experiences over the years!!
  6. So, you disagree that an "opinion" based upon zero experience/first hand knowledge is speculation? Well I disagree with your statement. I believe that most people, like myself, come to these forums for facts and opinions based upon actual experiences. The OP asked a question regarding the value of Vibe in a certain circumstance. Responding yes or no, having zero experience, is sort of irresponsible and is the definition of speculation.
  7. Again, have you ever actually experienced the Vibe first hand? As I've said previously, if you haven't then your "opinion" is just pure speculation!
  8. It's not complimentary anymore. $4.95 plus 20% gratuity.
  9. We're sailing Getaway in April and I'm really looking forward to this show. Actually, we picked Getaway for this sailing to have some different entertainment than what we've seen recently on Escape in 2018, Encore in 2020 and Joy x 2 the last 2 years. BTW for those mentioning Choir of Man, we've seen it a few times and it's terrific, but it was best before they moved it to the theater and it was in the supper club on Escape in 2018. That was the best show I've ever seen on a cruise ship!
  10. There's actually a band, The Hollywood Vampires, and that's their thing. Playing the music of dead Rock Stars. Band was formed by Alice Cooper, Joe Perry (from Aerosmith) and believe it or not Johnny Depp. I believe one of the others is from Guns N Roses. I saw them once in AC and they were awesome, if you like mostly hard rock. I saw them right after David Bowie died and they played a couple of his songs too. Very fun!
  11. I am about to experience Vibe for the first time in April and I paid 289pp times 3 people. It's not a little amount of money and my wife is skeptical of the value, but I know that the 3 of us will love it from all the recs on here and what I've heard first hand from cruisers when I've sailed. And yes, if you search for some older Vibe threads, you will read all about the mad dash people used to do just to get these passes, especially when there were only 100 available on some of the ships. Unless I missed it, you haven't mentioned actually experiencing Vibe. If you haven't, it's kind of bad form to knock it so adamantly. If you have, and feel that way, your opinion is noted.
  12. I have Vibe booked for an upcoming sailing on Getaway. Do you know, for sure, that hot tubs in Vibe are open until 10pm on all ships? My wife was asking about this, as we love some evening hot tub time, and I couldn't find any definitive info on this. My understanding was that Vibe is open from 7am until 7pm. TIA
  13. Awesome! Can't wait to hear back. We have some obc for our upcoming sailing in April and we'll probably get around to ordering some room service too. My daughter loves the seven layer cake too from Cagney's so she's going to be interested in what you find out. Lmao 😂 Anyway, have a great sailing! We were on Encore January 2020 and we had a great cruise!
  14. I've been waiting for another room service thread... Does anyone know if the seven layer chocolate cake on the room service menu is the same as the one at Cagney's? It is described exactly the same and would be a deal if it was part of the room service menu. Cake at Cagney's is $12 and I could order 4 pieces for 9.95 plus gratuity at midnight. Lmao 😂
  15. Call me Kreskin but I'm predicting this thread will be closed soon. Lmfao 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
  16. You're right! I stayed at the Palazzo this past April, right next to Wynn, and while I already knew about the daily resort fee, most that I spoke to did not until they checked in
  17. I just watched that scene last week. She should have won an academy award! Lmao 😂 😂 😂
  18. No hoops to jump through. Simple form readily available at guest services. I was behind someone at guest services on my 2020 Encore sailing who, I believe, removed their DSC entirely. It was 5:45am and the Atrium was empty (I was on my way to the gym) and the crew member didn't even ask why they were adjusting/removing the DSC. Just handed the guest a form and helped me while the guest filled it out. I will say that paying almost $1000 at the end is a lot. Maybe there should be a descending scale for the 3rd and 4th passengers in a cabin or a cap. I'm sailing Getaway in April for 10 days and my daughter will be the 3rd in our cabin so I've already budgeted that $600 plus I'm already putting aside singles and 5 dollar bills for additional tipping/bribing. Lmao 😂 88 days and counting for me!
  19. Kill Bill volume 2 is the superior Kill Bill movie
  20. I believe it's more at the pier. Code is CCAI I don't know if it still works but it did last week. I'm sailing Getaway April 19th.
  21. Actually, the parking at MCT for 10 days is 315 plus a fee of $9+. I purchased parking a few weeks ago and that was what it came to, $324. I ended up canceling and rebooking as someone on the other website posted a coupon code that made it $292 total.
  22. One of the greatest guitarists that I've ever seen and I've seen most of them. Just an awesome performer!
  23. I received the same package on Joy this past July. Very nice! I did miss the cocktail 🍹 reception. BTW for whoever said Fort Polk was the armpit, I contend that Fort Bliss was. I served from 1984 - 1988 and spent about 6 months at Bliss before heading to Germany for 3 years. I used to feel a little uncomfortable too when I was thanked for my service as I served during peacetime and had a lot of fun traveling all over. I'm sailing Getaway in April and I expect the package will be waiting for me again.
  24. It is not worth it to you but it is to many. In fact, it's in such demand, that up until recently people would literally run to wherever the passes were sold and most were turned away as they were sold out within minutes. Now, maybe because of the commotion, they sell the passes pre cruise and still sell out. I've been on 4 NCL sailings since 2018 and Vibe was sold out on every one. There's big demand it seems at every price point!!
  25. This has been my dilemma too. We are always sailing with a group and that sometimes includes people on a budget or people with children and my wife will NEVER separate from her friends and family. In April, we're sailing on Getaway and it'll just be me, my wife and my daughter so I booked us Vibe for 10 days and I'm really excited to experience it.
