  1. Now into the Medina itself. Although it was Friday and Ramadan someshops and stalls wereopen.
  2. Unfortunately my foot drop plus balance problems let me down again. Fortunately only a very minor graze on my left hand so no worries.
  3. We were let off the bus at the main square. That is the Catholic Church. We then walked up to the Medina/ the old town.
  4. A dam for Tetouan. And a comfort stop at the hotel La Palomaon the outskirts of Tetouan. A nice looking restaurant which for Ramadan does a buffet for 120 dirhams (US12).
  5. Now on the drive to Tetouan. The high speed train. The train line obviously built for the high speed train. I certainly hadn't expected the countryside to be so green and productive.
  6. Only 1 naval vessel in port but a constant stream of ferries. Even hop on hop off busses waiting. We felt Tangier was a much nicer place than Casablanca.
  7. Awoke on Friday morning steaming in to Tangier. Once again smog but not nearly as bad as Casablanca.
  8. Rojaan started with the Carpaccio and I the Penne. Both good. I then had the tomato soup. It was good but not as good as on our last cruise on the Dawn. For mains Rojaan had the Pappardelle with duck ragu excellent. I had the veal chop. Just a little dry. For sweets Rojaan had the Babb a Rhum and I some Gorganzola. My menu didn't have it on but Rojaan's did. Fortunately hers was the right menu. An enjoyable night. We were both very tired so back to the room. Before 10 minutes elapsed Rojaan was fast asleep.
  9. First as usual the Antipasti plate. Then the lovely bread basket with garlic. Rojaan had the white wine of the night a Pinot Grigio and I the Italian red both were quite satisfactory. ervice was a little slow at first but once our order was in no problems at all. Quick, efficient and enjoyable.
  10. In Thursday's Chronicles there was alittle note pointing out how to join the other place that can't be mentioned. Also we did print out all our excursions for this cruise but not the dinner reservations. Went to My Silversea to chck up but you can't get the activities on a cruiseyou have started. So we called by Reception to find out what we have reserved. Fortunately found out we had a reservation at La Terraza that night. However they could only bring up and print out the reservations for the first 10 day segment. At least I couldn't see any one else's bookings. So to La Terraza. First the menu. The lights were not in a good positio for photos but here it is.
  11. And for good measure here is today’s on the Moon.
  12. Back at the ship and a bit of a rest before trivia. Unfortunately bombed out at trivia so no points. I'm in mourning. Much better luck at golf. A tie for second in a remarkable turnaround. After 2 holes was quite a way behind the leader. Was in a tie for fourth with 2 others. On the last hole the three of us all had a hole in one but only 1 fellow in front of us didn't crash and burn so second it was. Getting into cruise mode again. A routine of waking early, shower or bath then breakfast in the Arts cafe. Then time to get ready for an excursion. Tangier today.
  13. And the last photos as we return to the Moon. And the walk back from the Terminal. The little white speck is the Moon.
  14. It must be naughty music as SS won't let me see or hear it.
  15. An Andalusian garden has 3 main components -trees, stones and running water. Time to leave the casbah. The martyrs cemetery.
  16. A tangerine tree. And what we call a jacaranda at home.
  17. Now we stopped to have a mint tea and pastry.. Then into the Andalusian gardeh.
  18. And from the casbah/fort great views of the Atlantic.
