Good morning. Prayers for all who are not well and best wishes to all. Weather here is pretty moderate for the end of February. Long term forecast looks good too. So…my twin “spends some time in the casino”. As a result she gets “free” cruises. She has been on me to join her in her cabin on Anthem of the Seas for seven days starting on Sunday. Since my daughter is available to stay with her dad I finally said yes. So the next few days will be busy since I haven’t totally unpacked from the 2/8 cruise! Silly me. But I will get it all done. Though I don’t post daily I am a daily reader. Yesterday dinner with nephew and family went very well. It was great to finally see them in person after about 5 years. Good morning all. Prayers for all in need. Going to see nephew and family today for the first time since the pandemic. They are coming to our house to make things easier for DH Bill. Getting the same takeout lasagna that we had Christmas Eve and was very good. Easy peasy for me. Well, unpacking isn’t as much fun as packing for a trip! Hope to be done soon. Good morning and Happy Saturday. Prayers for all in need. Please stay safe if you are experiencing bad weather today and need to be on the roads. We got back home around 10 am yesterday. Getting off the ship was super easy. Being a Pinnacle member on Royal gets us breakfast in a specialty restaurant. Concierge told us to go have breakfast and he would meet us with a “pusher” for Bill’s wheelchair to exit ship. Super easy for me. Bill did ok on this trip and enjoyed all his meals but is having trouble being comfortable on his scooter. Room steward was great and very attentive. No adverse weather so waters were very smooth. Next trip is March 15 with just my sister - same ship — Vision out of Baltimore. Best wishes for a great weekend. Katherine

Good morning. A big thank you to all who keep this thread moving along. We made it on to Vision of the Seas with no problems. DSIL made it home from the hospital with no more issues. Life is good. We are in Charleston today and it is nice and warm. Katherine

Thank you for all for the good wishes for my DSIL. We didn’t hear anything yesterday so assuming no news is good news. Also, my niece is posting regular type stuff. Don’t think she would be doing that it there was a critical situation. We are doing last minute stuff before leaving around 8:30. Be wishes to all.

Good morning. Phil has spoken here in PA — early spring! We shall see. Woke up yesterday to a leak in our basement. Verdict—new water heater being installed today. Ugh! Good morning and best wishes to all. Weather here is cooling down again making it more difficult to walk. Trying to lose a few pounds before our next trip. DH has a virtual appointment with his endocrinologist today. Hoping doctor is ok with his glucose numbers. They have come down but I am feeling the doctor will want even lower. Prayers for the conflicts around the world and for our political leaders. Heartfelt sympathy for the military families who lost a loved one this weekend. Katherine

And I was on Grandeur when the Eagles beat the Patriots. It was a fun time — the Diamond concierge turned the Diamond Club into a Super Bowl party!

I will be rooting for the Ravens today. I am sailing out of Baltimore on Vision for the Super Bowl and it would be a lot of fun if the Ravens are a part of that big game. Katherine

We are cruising in a few weeks. I went to the Royal site to print my set sail but it is not there. Luggage tags are there and printable. I went to the app next. Set sail shows up but there does not appear to be a print option. Am I doing something wrong or is this Royals way of saying don’t print — show set sail on your phone? Thanks. Katherine

Good morning all. Temperatures are rising and are much more comfortable. I finally got my car out of the garage yesterday and was able to get my hair cut. Yay! I am seeing your note about being retired from cruising so I guess signatures is on for me. I have admit that I have the same concerns as you but mostly that my DH will have an issue when we are on a ship. Being retired from cruising will happen to all of us eventually. I agree with Kazu that a trip or two out of Baltimore might be ok for you if you are feeling well enough. Uber to port, no out of western hemisphere ports, Uber home. We have been sticking to northeast ports because of our ages. Have a great day. Katherine

Snowy here — looks now that we will get about 4 inches. DH Bill went out with his driver/ helper last night and stocked up our refrigerator and freezer. We can be good for many days, if necessary. I was there yesterday! Wanted to buy some of their chicken pot pie but their one freezer was down so I was out of luck. I bought some marinara to make pasta last night and other snacks. The place was empty because of the weather — you don’t see that very often. Takes me under 10 minutes to drive there. Katherine
