Good morning and prayers for all in need. It is disheartening to see all those who are on the care list. Very cold here again with more snow overnight and tomorrow. Going to get some groceries and then I will try to stay in until church on Sunday. Our next trip is scheduled for February 8 on Vision of the Seas out of Baltimore. Going with 3 others for a combined Super Bowl and Valentine’s Day trip. DS left today for an 11 day trip out of Cape Liberty. I actually had a last minute booking on hold this past Sunday to join her. But then decided to not book thinking of all that would have had to have been done by today. Tough decision since I do love going to the southern Caribbean. Have a great day and stay safe and warm. Katherine

Yes — studio was last cabin. Kind of annoyed that agent didn’t mention it was a studio — just told me virtual inside. I have the cabin on hold - res. will desolve after 24 hours. Glad that after looking at booking sheet I saw “studio” and went to the deck plan to check it out.

Looking at a very last minute booking. Anyone know if the studio cabins (meant to be solos but cost almost the same price as a regular solo cabin) still do not get double points? I really don’t want to pay a high price for 101 sq feet and no double C/A points. Thanks.

Thanks to all who contribute. I am really enjoying the trip reports — especially our world cruisers. Thank you for taking the time to post for all of us who are land based right now. Doctors appointment today and watching the weather forecast to see how much snow we will get. I love snow but do feel sorry for those who can’t stay home during a snow event. Have a great day. Good morning and best wishes to all. Yesterday was a bust as far a New Years Day goes. DH wasn’t feeling well and I had to cancel plans for dinner company. He seems better today — for now. He just got up so time will tell. Looking at the possibility of “measurable” snow this weekend. Wouldn’t be a big deal except we haven’t had such an event in over 700 days — according to the weather folks. Stay tuned! Prayers for all in need. My sister left a very expensive item on the Vision. Royal is telling her she cannot call the ship directly to ask if it was found — that she has to file a claim with Royal in Miami and not ask the ship if anything was found. Anyone have experience with that? Does that sound right — she cannot call the ship directly?

Prayers for all in need and thanks to those who help keep this thread alive. May this be a joyful season for all. First bit of company came at 5 last night - a 23 year old nephew. He has slept most of the time since arriving. Today is a day for picking up last minute food items. Do you think the stores will be busy??? I have been waiting for an Amazon gift that had been delayed. Yesterday I got a notice that it was Ontario, Canada (Sent from Baltimore!!) and would be delayed until 12/27. So I go out and buy a replacement gift. When I get home there is a notice that said gift will arrive by 10:15 am. Said gift arrives at 9:25 pm! I talked yesterday to the Amazon driver — he was very frustrated trying to get all his packages delivered on time. Poor guy. Amazon has been a lifesaver for me since the pandemic and this is the first issue I have had so I really can’t complain. Prayers for all to have a calm and safe day. Katherine

Good morning. Still very cold here in PA — I have had to bring inside all the drinks I was storing in the garage. The last thing I need is exploding soda and ice tea containers. Today is my monthly card club - Pinochle. I joined in 1980 but the club started in the early 70s. So it is very long lasting. These days we meet at a local restaurant which provides us with tables as long as we buy lunch. Works out well. But in December we meet at someone’s house for extra treats and a gift exchange. It is a fun day. My daughter will stop by to make sure her Dad is ok while I am gone. Best wishes for a great day. Katherine

Change to her itinerary as they left Port Canaveral early and skipped Miami altogether. Nassau for her ship today. Hoping to finish up purchasing gifts today. Have a safe and happy day. Katherine

Good morning. Prayers for those in need — which seem to be many this year. Thoughts for a good end of semester for 2 college age family members who have been raised Jewish. I do pray that all goes well for them — we are living in a crazy world right now. Weather here is cold but I may run out for a few gifts. Getting to the end of my shopping. I keep on thinking something must be wrong that I am finished this early! DH Bill had a doctors appointment yesterday that went very well. Bloodwork results were very positive. Yay!
