On a Daimond related question. If I am Diamond and have the drink package as well can I buy someone else a drink with a voucher? Can I just tell the bartender that? I do not want to have it seem like I am sharing the drink package.

2915 on Odyssey 12/4 sailing. Not fully vaccainated. The cruise director said there would be 1000 children on the current cruise.

They are alike in that they are all Royal Caribbean ships.
But they are different classes of ships.
There is a semi-enclosed outdoor smoking "pod" on Deck 5, which some of us call The Bus Stop.
Are you talking about the outside area between the lifeboats? Confused by the "semi-enclosed".

I don't mind it either way. It works right now but I don't know if it will when the capacity increases close to full.

What I don't understand is how this is big news? This appeals to a tiny percentage of the typical cruisers. Less that 2500 people for a nine month cruise. Interesting and maybe a dream for some but hardly big news.
Can you imagine how sick you would be of the seven day rotating menu you would be. LOL

We will be sailing on Odyssey OTS and want to visit Shete Boka National Park in Curacao. There are 2 Royal Caribbean excursions that stop there and both are 4 hours: Beauties of Curacao and West Coast Off-Road Adventure. Has anyone taken either of these excursions? Was wondering how much time is spent in this park.

Just booked the March 11th 2022 cruise. Can't wait to find out more about the ship.

I haven't seen them in a while either.

The Havana balconies don't have much privacy but that is not what they are about. The rest of the cabins have typical privacy. No issues. The ship was great! I will add though it was great at reduced capacity. Not sure how it will be when it sails full.

We were on the same cruise. We had an 11-11:30 check in time. We arrived a little early due to limited shuttle scheduling. Waited in a typical area with comfortable chairs and charging stations. They boarded all the suites, then diamond and platinum first but that was quick. The suites, diamond and platinum could bypass the line and board immediately after boarding started. We are among the commoners boarding but were still on board by 12:30. There were very few non vax passengers. You could pick them out for the most part because they could not check their luggage. They had a diamond an above lounge and they entered through a separate entrance to the gangway. From what I could see the lounge looked comfortable. The only issue we had was the man announcing the boarding numbers was difficult to hear.
I think the big issue with the OP is being out of the country within 14 days. To be honest I didn't think they allowed that.
I think you have to give Carnival a little slack as it is a brand new terminal and it was only the second cruise on that ship. Since it was only the second cruise it was actually the first time they had to offload passengers and board new.
We had no significant issues boarding or on the ship.

I went back in. Looks like they may have fixed the error.

I can't even imagine the people here that have twelve or more booked at once. I don't know how I would keep them straight or plan. I currently have four booked. That is a first for me. Because of Covid I have three relatively close together and one in 2023.

The likelyhood of catching Covid from touch or food is extremely unlikely. It transmits mainly from inhaling droplets. Stomach acids kill the virus. You would have to touch the food directly where there is a droplet and then touch your eye or something similar to that. You may catch Noro from the buffet but that has always been a hazzard.
I am very happy they have for the most part required people to be vaccinated. That is what I am worried about. The buffet does not scare me.

It is roughly 10% more to purchase Cheers on the ship. It depends on you if you think you will use up your OBC or not if you pre purchase the Cheers.

My wife just volunteered to take one for the team and spend any and all OBC that might be left on the last night on jewelry...
That is a wonderful wife you have there! My wife will make sure there is no left over.

Sounds like the Cherry on top gift cards are a good option as well.

We have $1200 between the two cabins so that is a little much for us to spend on board. Plus there may be that additional $100 per cabin for going through with the cruise.

There may be a number of reasons for excursions to go up and down. They may be putting some sort of rules for Covid on them or limiting numbers. They are looking into "bubble" excursions for unvax passengers as well. Some may be out of business as well.

Thank you sc4125. That helps

How do I go about cashing in OBC in the casino? How is it done? I know there is a 3% fee in there somewhere but if I save over 10% for purchasing before boarding I would rather do that.
-
I think not having people serve themselves will help prevent Norovirus. It don't think it has any effect on Covid. The chances of catching Covid by touch is extremely slim.

Doesn't show any change yet
Port check in time
in Royal Caribbean International

They seem to try to stick with the check in times given. Some people come earlier with varing results. If you keep checking as the sail date gets closer some have been able to grab earlier check in times.
