  1. We have two cabins booked on an upcoming Mardi Gras cruise. Due to cancellations we have $600 per cabin on board credit. One cabin is for my wife and I and the other is for our daughter and her friend (both 18 years old). Can the on board credit be shared between the two cabins? We are hoping to purchase drink packages and other things using on board credit but for the drink packages for my wife and I it is over $600. I don't want to have to pay out of pocket if there is plenty of credit between the two cabins.

  2. I'm really interested to see what they have set up to get the crew vaccinated. They have approx 8 weeks. Seems like the ships may be ready but I want to hear more about crew vax. So far I've only heard of a couple hundred.

  3. I had a room below the sun deck on Freedom. Quiet as can be all day even with people up there. 3-4 am was the worst when the moved the chairs around to wash the deck. The worst thing was they didn't even open the deck till 11am so there was no real reason to do this in the middle of the night.

  4. At first glance you wouldn't think that a tanker was the choice to convert to a hospital. I believe they were chosen due to the largest open area for an existing ship. I personally think that a cruise ship would need to be gutted down to its hull to be a usable hospital ship. Nothing about the rooms, bathrooms, hallways or elevators is conducive to a hospital. It is difficult for two people to pass in the narrow hallways. Try going down those hallways in a hospital bed. The bathrooms could not be used as they are too small. The doors to the cabins are too small. I don't think the electrical service to each cabin is enough to operate hospital equipment. I don't think the elevators are large enough to hold a hospital bed. Just doesn't seem feasible.

  5. I am not trying to be insensitive or anything as I have had to deal with the death of my father and I had a cruise booked at that time. If I read the original post correctly his mother has not died. If I just heard that my mother had only days left the last thing I would worry about was a refund and in particular spending time going on line to ***** about it. We don't even know how far off the cruise is or was. I went through a similar situation with my dad as he was dying from cancer and we did not know how long he would last. I had a cruise booked from way out. I did not have insurance but I just knew and was prepared that if it happened at that time I would sacrifice the cruise. I knew that and was ready for it. That was the least of my worries. Missing a cruise does not compare with the loss of your parent.

The family are saying that they never expected windows that open on the children's play area; they assumed that it was jut solid viewing glass, not moveable windows.

I have heard that but at the very least when the childs feet pass through where I thought glass would be I may doubt that there is glass there.

  7. It is hard to tell from the video but it definitely appears he put the childs feet on the window sill. There is no way at that point you can reasonably think there is glass there. Even if somehow a person could mistake the window being open there is no way after holding the child there for over 30 seconds to not realize it.

I stayed in 1101 on Adventure of the Seas in April. It is, of course, an inside stateroom. My response is addressing this new section of Deck 11. My opinion is that it’s super convenient. Basically right there at the Solarium. Same deck as The Windjammer. Great on At Sea Days. Also right at the stairway & elevator bank. Great place in my opinion.

How was your cabin? Was there noise from the spa?
