I always get currency before I leave home. The exchange rate on the ship is terrible. Took the Anthem TA and with the exchange rate if $1,13 to the pound the offered us less than a dollar. Didn't do the exchange.

Our first time at Captain's table was 1997 on the Majesty. It was dh's birthday but I don't think that was it. We were with friends and the 3rd couple at our table were new to cruising but he did work for one of the airlines. None of us had any status. One evening the head waiter came to our table and asked if we had any p,and for the next evening. We all said no and he told us we would be eating with the Captain the next evening. It was a great evening. In 2015 on our Baltic cruise we had a free upgrade to a GS, remember those days, and mentioned to the concierge in the lounge that we'd love to do Captain's table again. We were invited but since there was a last minute itinerary change because of weather the Captain couldn't make it. The f&b director, whose parents were onboard and who we became friends with, hosted the evening. It was nice.

When I asked about that discount I was told no, but I didn't ask day 1 and had already booked it at a discount in advance. Others might have different experiences.

I check my dh in when I do mine. As I said I just do basic stuff and pick check in times and finish the next day. For our January cruise checkin is 11/22, the day we fly to our daughter's so I'll only get basic done that day.

Moved here 4+ years ago. Did the April Jewel TA to Amsterdam and the October TA on the Anthem. TAs are lovely though the Anthem was a little bumpy due to a really big storm in the Atlantic. Both sailed at less than full capacity.

On TA, but a day out of Cape Liberty, did zoom meetings with just surf. No real problems.

On the TA no reservations for bumper cars. Love them!

Actually since Covid it's Cheers with the officers. They introduce them, a toast is made and then they leave. Hope the officer at our table comes back.

2 individual reservations. Can't see that they are linked. I booked onboard and transferred to TA. Cousin booked directly with Royal and my TA did the linking. We will be adding a 3rd reservation eventually. Can't find it.

Years ago, before everything was online, we sailed with friends and reservations were linked for dinner. We are the process of this happening again. Ta just linked our reservation to my cousin's as requested. Is there anywhere we should see this when I look at our reservation online?
