I would check with your credit card company as to why it was declined. It maybe that their fraud detection system but if you call them they can override it. I had it when I was booking a tour in Amsterdam from the US. Able to clear it up.

Got off Jewel TA 5/13 and for a fee in the Amsterdam cruise terminal they scheduled appointments for tests for those flying out that day. Not sure they planned to do it but there was a demand for testing. We didn't need it as were staying in Amsterdam.
-
Had to be booked by a certain date and sail before the end of the year. Also you receive the new status on the next cruise. Points aren't applied until after you complete your cruise.

As indicated, any specialty host station will help. No, Chef's table isn't there but the person on the host station will connect you with the right person.
-
When you board go immediately to Chops and explain your needs and they will connect you with someone from Chef's Table who will help. Enjoy.

Sometimes we've done it on formal night so even the men get a little dressed up!

help with proctored Covid test
njkruzer replied to xray0111's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We did it in December. No problem with a wait. -
Yes you can. I'm allergic to fish. Dh doesn’t eat shellfish or meat. Let them know a day or so in advance. We like it on Anthem or Radiance class ships as it's in a private dining room.

help with proctored Covid test

Don't call. Go online to emed.com. never waited more than a few minutes. Results emailed and on Navica app. And yes I've heard about problems with test kits, though we've done it 3 times without a problem. -
help with proctored Covid test

We were warned about the wait but less than an hour from arrival to gate. We had done our checkin online the day before,,downloading a copy of our test results to American Airlines and printed out our boarding passes. Went to luggage drop kiosks and found someone to help. Then to passport control, then security, then to gate. Didn't need to go to the airline desk as we already had done checkin online. -

They arranged testing, for a fee, at the pier in Amsterdam on May 13th our transatlantic. We stayed in Amsterdam for 5 nights and using my laptop did the emed tests the day before flying home. -
I'm in a hotel in Amsterdam. As per Verizon instructions, #1, go to airplane mode, #2 look for free wifi.

Cruise Lines Staffing Issues
njkruzer replied to Cruising89143's topic in Royal Caribbean International
On Jewel TA approximately 870 crew for 1126 passengers. -
It's what I do. Also turn off roaming. Onboard Jewel for TA, which ends tomorrow. Wifi has been terrible and not just for passengers but also for services onboard, i.e.next cruise, shops, etc. Not sure why.
-
Not off shore. Responses are from people in Miami. They also respond within a couple of days.
-
On Jewel TA now, ending tomorrow. No staffing complaints.

Radiance Fall 2023. Canal yesterday was sold out on balconies and suites. Then found balcony guarantee, which we grabbed. Have a balcony for 1st leg. Most likely will be changing cabins in San Diego. No problem.
-
ok, I knnow all this but with next cruise just booked Vancouver to San Diego, then San Diego through the canal, with stops in Mexico and Caribbean ports before arriving in Tampa. Think we're ok. Any thoughts?

Jewel...another medical diversion
njkruzer replied to njkruzer's topic in Royal Caribbean International
not sure 1st person was elderly. fell off an elliptical, though a heart problem may have caused the fall. Captain, at his talk, said her heart had stopped, spa personnel had acted quickly and with medical personnel had revived her. -
Onboard on our way to Zebrugge, the last stop on our TA. Captain just came on and advised that we have another (2nd) medical emergency and will divert to near Cherborg (sp?) for a helicopter to come and pick up a patient who needs emergency evacuation. For those that don't recall, after leaving Miami we diverted to Bermuda for an evacuation. That time a pilot boat came out to take the patient, doctor and patient's husband and luggage. Pilot boat returned later with doctor. Delayed the Enchantmen'st docking. We have been told thatthat patient is doing well and was flown home a few days later. Never a dull moment!

When can we take our Emed tests?
njkruzer replied to sunny_shores's topic in Royal Caribbean International
In December we took it shortly after midnight Miami time. We live in Central time. It needs to have a date that is 2 days prior to sailing. Time doesn't matter. Of course ours also showed UTC! Only 5he date mattered. -
On Jewel now, b2b, paper without a problem. Was in the cabin 1st day and advised attendant to continue delivering. No problem. Have noticed also being left on cabin doors. Did ask for sheet with officer names and bios and have noticed that the sheet is at guest services now.
