We have had a few cruises on X and have found that the bourbon selection is poor.
I am a fan of Buffalo Trace, which was available, but the only other premium choice was Woodford Double Oaked.
Not a fan of JD or Beam.

I have weighed in on this subject previously, as others.
It's all a personal decision.
I do tip even though I have prepaid gratuities, cabin attendant, waiter and assistant waiter as well as sommelier.

The Hyatt Place was very nice !
Shuttle, breakfast, pleasant staff !

We will be doing a back to back cruise later this year.
We will be on the same ship, Silhouette, but in a different cabin, actually the next door cabin.
We have never done a back to back.
How hard, or simple is it ?
Do you have to leave the ship ?
Thank you !

I don't mind children on cruises.
It's the parents/guardians that upset me that don't or won't look after them, and its not exclusive to cruises, Walmart, anyplace.

We have cruised X a few times on Thanksgiving.
Nothing special, not very many children, there is nothing for kids to do on X.

I agree with everyone else, these metal bottles are a pain to open.
We had to get our server to open with a towel.
What we did, because we need water through the night and for taking meds, we got big bottles of Evian, much easier !

Last year November we had a hell of a time trying to get reservations at Tuscan Grill on the Constellation.
Without going deep into the circumstances, we would make a reservation and they would call back later rescheduling, this happened 3 times.
We could not get our reservation until the night before debarkation, declined.
Our group has decided not to do specialty dinning again.
MDR is great !

I have been doing the occasional webinars for awhile and it sees that points are awarded towards the end of each month.
I am still advancing towards the next level !

We to were very concerned having our cabin next to elevator/stairs.
Surprisingly, it was very quiet, just the occasional muffled voices passing by.

Just a quick reply to this subject.
My last 2 cruises I dieted just to gain back after cruise.
To my surprise I ate like a pig and did not gain but lost a few pounds, lol.

We never experienced dining with more than 4, we have met others who dined at big tables with a group.
I think if you contact the MDR on embarkation immediately I think you can make reservations for the rest of the cruise.

Sometimes "Any Time Dining" is not so great.
On a recent X cruise on the Constellation we had AT dining, we usually had dinner around 7pm.
On several nights we were put on a wait list, we usually had to wait up to 30 minutes but one night it was nearly 90 minutes, even though we were sailing with only a third of passengers.
I am assuming it was staffing, not sure.
Lol, on one night we discovered that at one table of 4 they were playing cards.

I don't think it went any further than the Maître D. All he said was sorry I was busy in another section. IMO that is not a good enough answer. He could have said something to the effect of What can I do to make the rest of your cruise more enjoyable or something to that effect. We were not looking for free wine either as I already had 2 bottles in my stateroom which were brought home. I just found a very lackadaisical attitude with some of the MDR staff. After that we moved to another section. Service got a bit better but nowhere near what is expected. I remember asking the sommelier if I could exchange the chardonnay wine I received onboard with a SB or a cab of the same value and was told: "No we don't do that, you get what you get". Could have been put a nicer way. Again, inadequate training.
You should have taken it to someone higher.
We had a similar situation on the Edge.
Like you, we were not seeking any type of compensation, just bringing to the attention of the staff that we were not pleased with the service.
To our surprise the next night at dinner we got a visit from the maitre d, food and beverage manager and what really blew my mind was the captain also.
They all apologized for the lack of good service and we received a very nice bottle of wine and a complimentery dinner at Tuscan.
In short, don't get rude with staff, express your problem and move on without demanding anything.

We will be making a port call to the Dominican Republic, on the Celebrity Silhouette, 11/24/2022.
I can't find too much recent info on cruise ships porting.
I have questions that someone may be able to answer.
1. What port does X dock ?
2. Is it safe to catch a taxi ?
3. What souveniers are famous in the D.R.
4. How far is it to the Shops away from port ?
Thank you !

Still waiting for these April points to post: LGBTQ+ quiz for 1 point and Celebrate w/ CEO ports quiz for 1 point.
It's very difficult to predict when points will be posted.
I have been participating in "Power Up Points" for a couple years, still trying to get to the next level, lol !

I have never, ever been on with X where I never got a representative.
I have been on hold at times up to an hour but eventually got connected to a rep within that time.
How many live reps do you think they have ?
Yes, I agree it becomes frustrating, but just think about this, how many folks are calling X everyday.

In my opinion I would leave these rude, ungrateful hogs alone.
People are people, there will always be someone, somewhere that will not follow the rules.
No need to confront them and cause a scene or confrontation.
They are who they are.

I am speaking for just myself.
We usually give additional gratuities to our MDR staff, waiter, assistant waiter, and sommelier.
We have done 7 days, 10, days and 12 day cruises.
No matter the number of days, we tip a genearous cash amount to each, I will not say the amount.
We have had very excellent service with every X cruise.
On the last night of cruise we have thank you cards with cash that we present to the MDR staff.
Oh, don't forget your cabin attendant !

We have cruised on the Silhouette a couple times but never used the Spa.
My wife wants to indulge in the spa this time on the Silhouette, massage, facial, etc.
I can't seem to find a menu of services offered.
I found menus on the Edge and Apex, not sure if its the same.

I started two Celebrity Silhouette Roll Calls for 11/21/22.
I need to delete one but don't know how, can someone help me ?
-
Every picture they take of you are included.
Usually on the ship, embarkation, dinner, special events, port calls.
CAUTION: You will have a ton of pictures, lol.

Please don't quote me but I don't think TV has Bluetooth.
Not that I was trying but playing with my headphones I did not receive a Bluetooth signal from TV.
Fall 2023 Schedule
in Princess Cruises
Posted
I have never cruised with Princess.
We have always cruised X and enjoy their brand, but, we are looking to try another line and Process was recommended.
But, I can't find schedule for fall/winter 2023.
We would appreciate it if someone could advise us on when schedule will come out.
Thank you !
