Never thought I would say this.....
PortSideCruzan replied to Raysgirl's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Hi @ObstructedView2π I certainly agree with you concerning staffing/training issues & millions of people around the World employed in jobs they've never worked before. Yes, this is definitely not confined to just the cruise industry or one particular cruise line. All industries are & still affected. When Covid began its attack in 2020, we decided then, right away, to take a 3 to 4 year hiatus from cruising after 40 years of sailing. For us, even now approaching the end of 2022, it is far too soon. We'll probably sail in 2024 or 2025. To the original OP: Hi @Raysgirlπ Wow! 15 voyages all on Carnival. That is far too limiting. Yes, branch out & explore other cruise lines. More importantly is to open your door to the vast destinations & experiences to be explored that exist beyond just one cruise line. Happy sailing!! π΄ -
Port or Starboard, do you care?
PortSideCruzan replied to EngIceDave's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
It doesn't matter which ship or cruise line; ever since we began sailing in the early 1980's, every stateroom, every voyage, has always been Port. Feels like I'm on the driver's side...π π΄ -
Does Carnival Pride have USB ports on TVs?
PortSideCruzan replied to Normie22's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Hi π I have been hooking up a laptop, portable cd players & games to cabin televisions on Carnival, Royal & Princess for quite sometime now. I use an HDMI cable to connect to the television & laptop/cd player or game console. Most stateroom televisions on cruise ships pull out slightly if the HDMI outlet can't be reached behind, or on the side of the television. (Most Important Is The Remote Control) Since the (Input Button) is deactivated on cruise ship tv remote controls, I simply bring a universal remote to (change/access the input) to the desired input needed. There are many YouTube videos online that show exactly how to do it. Very, very, easy. Just need a universal remote control and a HDMI cable. π΄ -

Difference between Celebration & Mardi Gras?
PortSideCruzan replied to helene109's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Hi π Just a bit of trivia. The 1397 for Emeril's Bistro stands for the 'Yard Number' at the Meyer Turku Shipyard where the Celebration is being built. Same for the Mardi Gras Emeril's Bistro 1396. When Mardi Gras was being constructed at Meyer Turku, the ship was in Yard Number 1396. You can see Meyer Turku ships & yard #'s here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meyer_Turku π΄ -

PortSideCruzan replied to tomcatguy74's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
The 'Taino Bay' Cruise Port in Puerto Plata is the name of the other cruise ship dock, and where the fort is located. Yes Carnival Magic will be docked at Amber Cove. π΄ -

Yes! I very much agree with this. We've had many cakes/special deserts delivered to our table over the decades of cruising. Very festive joyful heartwarming memories. Unless of course the OP wishes a more private birthday for their twins 13th. Either way, just being onboard a cruise ship for such a special occasion is special in itself. However, can you just imagine Two Cakes coming out at once, candles blazing, followed by a bunch of waiters/waitresses to sing happy birthday to a brand new pair of teenager twins turning 13. πΆThe entire dining room might singπΆ Have a terrific voyage! Make new memories π΄

PortSideCruzan replied to 1bravesfan's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Hi π I have not stayed in these cabins, but I wanted to drop some information for you that might help you get started with your research. Take notice that both balconies do not have an overhead cover. Be certain to search YouTube & Google; there are many Video Tours/Reviews of Carnival Breeze Spa Cabins. π΄ -

Room Service Late Night Menu Cost
PortSideCruzan replied to cruisekitty22's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Hi ObstructedView π The prices are fairly accurate on that (10pm to 6am) menu you posted. I notice the menu has Pepsi products listed. Carnival switched to Pepsi fleetwide January 2020. Thanks for posting! π΄
