I am looking for a Suite type or 2 bedroom suite for 4 adults going to FLL. I want to compare the cost of that versus booking 2 seperate rooms. We will be flying and would prefer a free shuttle or in an area where we could walk around and shop since we will be getting in early afternoon.
-
All guests in suite get same ammenities, ammenities depend on which class they are in. CL-crown loft is in sky class. I wonder what kind of deal they got? Are they on Quantam or Hamony?
We are on Oasis and am paying about $1200 per person. So the Aqua theater suite with that many people is a great deal.

Also, I have seen where many of us are getting very conflicting information from Royal agents on who gets what in suites etc., with the new rollout, which for me has been very frustrating. I woke up to reading a thread yesterday that a poster was told only 1st & 2nd guests got certain ammenities in Star Class, which was very different than I was told, so I was a bit stressed, but after almost 4 hours yesterday, got that all cleared up... Have learned to get everything in writing for sure....
Is it just me that thinks I got a great deal on a suite? If it is a good deal, is it because will be a brand new ship and they gave great deals on those? Or because we booked 21 months out? Wondering if it is like this when Royal releases a new ship... I might be first in line when Oasis 4 comes out :D. However I think it's going to Europe.
That is a nice deal, especially with everyone sharing the costs. It is almost as much as a regular balcony for 2 people. Can you elaborate on the amenities for the 3/4/5/guests? We have 4 girls sharing a CL in May and hope they are all eligible for the perks.

I can't find the thread that talks about the obc with the American Express platinum. I also tried to search on the website under benefits but can't find it. do you have to book with American Express or can you book wi a ta and still be eligible.

I noticed the same thing awhile back. It looks like a public area to me, however I do not know for sure.
I don't think there is access, if you go to the video and stop it at 5:30, you will see those openings shown in the picture are part of the "equipment" area.
Maybe they can have the Diamond Sailaway party there.:)

We booked the RS for the May 28th sailing, which is on the other side of where this video was shot. From the video, it looks like there is no access for passengers to the bow as it is all equipment.

Looking at OS on Empress...
Does anyone know which OS is bigger?
7006, 7506, 8506 (Forward OSs), or 9184, 8184 (Aft OSs).
The forward ones look bigger but it seems there is no balcony. The Aft ones look smaller but the balcony looks a lot bigger.
Anyone have insight?
Here you go! Keep in mind you are looking over the front of the ship

I don't think they will have much in the way of perks other than Priority Boarding and MDR ordering. The ship is smaller than Majesty by ~300 cabins and they do not have a dedicated concierge (suites or diamond) which I find hard to believe especially with all of the D and D+ Pinnacles that are in FL.
-
What about the RS on the Majesty?
No concierge. Anyone stay in the RS on the Majesty and get invite to captain's table and escort to your suite?

Has anyone been escorted on the ship when sailing on the Majesty?

**************sorry it mentioned a travel website... I just googled it.
Here you go!

If that 3rd person qualified and was booked under Resident, State, C/A or Military Discount and the other 2 are not eligible, the cabin will be repriced.
Learned the hard way:(

Yeah, I'd be very surprised if the TSA will accept a paper thing as proof of being a license.
https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/identification
Forgot Your ID?
In the event you arrive at the airport without valid identification, because it is lost or at home, you may still be allowed to fly. The TSA officer may ask you to complete a form to include your name and current address, and may ask additional questions to confirm your identity. If your identity is confirmed, you will be allowed to enter the screening checkpoint. You may be subject to additional screening.
You will not be allowed to fly if your identity cannot be confirmed, you chose to not provide proper identification or you decline to cooperate with the identity verification process.
TSA recommends you to arrive at least two hours in advance of your flight time to allow ample time for security screening and boarding the aircraft.

My friend was in the same situation. She boarded in St. Louis without an issue, however, in Fort Lauderdale after the cruise, she was taken aside and had a body search during security. At the port, we were in the suite line and the lady had to call over a supervisor to get approval for the temp id. The whole process only delayed our checkin by about 5 minutes.
Also keep in mind that the instructions on your temporary says you cannot alter it and laminating it may void the license.

No, they were talking with their Crown and Anchor contacts. I am going to call them back.
-
I would call back and try thru Resolutions. Like the others have said on these sales flyers where they list several categories with one price under it is has always meant that you could book any of those for that same price.
Good luck
I called Royal this morning before the TA opened to hold a room and they told me there were rooms available but they can't hold them and to have the TA call when it opened.
I called my large TA who tried to get that price and they said royal wasn't going to honor the price. Seems to be on ongoing policy with them.
-
I just googled 'going going gone' and the flyer came up. You don't have to log in to see the prices.
Sorry, I was talking about seeing them on the website in order to book. You have to be loggged on to get the GGG rates early for c/a members.
-
Earlier when I checked they were the same, but now I can't even get my c/a login to work to show any GGG sale prices.
-
Maybe it's just me but when I see 2 different categories listed and only one price I would assume that they mean "from" and the price shown is for the lower category.
They certainly could be clearer though.
All other multiple categories listed ie D1,D3,E3 balconies are on sale for the price quoted on the flyer.
-
Yes, but there is no verbage stating "from".
However, the OS and GS were not reduced at all, so to me that is not on sale,. Being clear on a sale is not a fortay of RC. lol
-
For the second time in a few months. The GGG sale prices are not being honored. It is not not a computer glitch but marketing misprints. This weeks sale flyer has 3 Independence of the Seas cruises listed for GS and OS "on sale", but when calling and trying to make a reservation for these, I am told they are not part of the GGG Sale even though the reps acknowledge they are on the flyer. Only JS are available even though there is room availability. The same thing happened a few months ago. I wish someone in Marketing would actually read what they send out.

There should be a padded brown folder in your room or desk drawer. It has all of the daily menus in it.
