  1. I've attempted to use a FCC for an upcoming reservation, but they are requesting an authorization code.

In the email I have 3 numbers:

    - Original Reservation Number

    - An SR Number (not sure what this is, but they say it is not an authorization code)

    - Two Certificate Numbers (1 each for my wife and I)

Has anyone else run into this? They are stating they will not honor the amounts without the authorization number. But there is nothing referencing this in the email I received from RCI!

    Thanks everyone, Chris

What is the email address that the email originated from?

  2. I can't seem to post the pretty picture only the text. I received this back on December 11th and put in the request when the promotion was announced.

The email came from Royal Caribbean International <RoyalCaribbean@reply.RoyalCaribbeanMarketing.com>

Congratulations! Your booking has been validated. We look forward to welcoming you to the Royal Suite Class onboard Oasis or Allure of the Seas® this summer. Your account will be updated to reflect your double points upon completion of sailing.

  3. FYI.....facebook links are usually not allowed on Cruise critic.

I wasn't sure before I posted, so I checked before I posted and this is what I found.

    http://boards.cruisecritic.com/faq.php?s=&do=search&q=facebook&match=all&titlesonly=0

It seems to be allowed as long as it isn't in reference to a Roll Call and a direct link to the url.

If I am wrong and missed something else, please let me know.

    Thx

  4. The net differential between what you have stated and what we got using our C&A Discount was $25 less and I don't have to spend more on the overall cruise cost to wait for the $200 in money to be spent on board the ship.

Using the comparison as follows by doing a mock booking on an E2 balcony cabin:

Cruise $1925.98 - 482 (BOGOHO) - 50 (Flash Discount) = $1393.98 With this pricing you get a $200 OBC to use on board -- but the COST of the cruise is higher.

Alternative using C&A Discount at Diamond Level:

    Cruise $1925.98 - 482 (BOGOHO) - 225 (C&A discount) = $1218.98.

I would rather have my out of pocket for the cruise itself to be less.....I have other ways to 'cash in points' to use as OBC on the cruise.

Those are the numbers I got as well as a Diamond Member. I opted for the OBC since it comes out $25 cheaper. I have 2 rooms and for 5 people and that OBC and the TA OBC will cover the tips.

  5. Do you have a email confirmation? If so, I would ask to speak to someone in resolutions. I had a cruise pulled out because of a pricing glitch in their computer system. If this was human error and not a computer error, I would hold firm and speak to someone higher up the food chain.

A separate time, we had 2 rooms booked on the Enchantment and it was after final payment and the RFS was available under the Kids Sail Free promotion. I had two reservation numbers for my 2 rooms. The person on the phone told me that since I had 2 reservation numbers he could move me into the RFS and be able to use the Kids Sail Free promotion without having to pay cancellation fees for an additional charge of a 2xx.xx I told him yes that is fine. He couldn't make the change and he had to speak to his supervisor. He came back and told me that it is not something they could do after all, but since he had already deleted my booking info, they were going to honor it.

    Good Luck
