  1. Yes, there was a White Party in the Cove for a few years before the pandemic shutdown. Of course, we don't know yet what the new White Parties will be like.....but soon!! ~Nancy
  2. From the website of CC member @Crew News: Club Orange Room Service Breakfast card Breakfast-Room-Service-PS-NS-Orange.pdf (rogerjett-photography.com) Regular Room Service Breakfast card: Breakfast-Room-Service-Standard.pdf (rogerjett-photography.com) As always, thank you Roger for the menus!!! ~Nancy
  3. You can inform HAL in your booking through your TA but in this case, I just asked one of the port people when I arrived at the beginning of the Canada Place check-in area. You may have to wait in a seating area for the staff to be available to bring the wheelchair and you through all the immigration and security. Then that port wheelchair employee hands you off to a HAL employee to bring you onboard. I have always tipped the people for wheeling my large self around!!! I appreciate them so much! ~Nancy
  4. Gosh Clay, you are really on a roll this cruise! First you got the Panomax fixed and now the "pastries" became available! What's next??? 😉 ~Nancy
  5. Thanks. That's what I was remembering as well. I searched around and they still can be purchased through American Express and a few other banks but incur fees and the necessity of recording and keeping track of the check serial numbers, etc. I have been using credit cards, and cash occasionally, in all my post 1980 travels. Cash is rapidly losing favor in many places now. My next overseas trip is to the Netherlands and Norway, and I've been told to not bother with cash at all. At a couple of my hotels in Norway they let guests know that cash isn't even accepted or available!! ~Nancy
  6. There may be a Catholic Mass and Interdenominational service onboard on Sundays. Depending on you affiliation, one of those might also be an option. It will be listed in your daily program if they offer it. ~Nancy
  7. Oh jeez, I'm so sorry for the incorrect info! 🫢 As I mentioned, it was such a blur that I really thought that we saw both Canada and US immigration on boarding! I've boarded four times there and sure thought so. I'll be more careful on checking my facts before posting from now on!! Thanks @Miss G!! ~Nancy
  8. Bummer! I didn't realize that! The Vistas and Signature Class have it though. I guess that's what I am thinking. I'll be on Zuiderdam next so have that in my brain! ~Nancy
  9. My experience is that if self carrying your luggage you can leave as soon as the ship is cleared (or any time after until final call). No need to wait until a disembark time is called. Let me know if I'm wrong on this! ~Nancy
  10. @Navybikermom doesn't the Zaandam have the Rolling Stone Lounge also? There would be dancing after dinner in there! ~Nancy
  11. The Zuiderdam Trans-Atlantic leaving Ft. Lauderdale in May 2024 was already scheduled to disembark in Ijmuiden. I was told here on CC that the docking/passenger fees there are less than Amsterdam. ~Nancy
  12. You go through both USA and Canada Immigration checks when boarding. I don't remember specifically about the Global Entry line. I have it, but it was all a big blur unfortunately!! There is lots of walking to embark/debark in Canada Place!! Last time I had a mobility problem (temporary I hope) and made use of the wonderful wheelchair pushing service. I would never have been able to get through the check-in and on board in the time allotted otherwise!! ~Nancy
  13. I wonder if banks even issue Traveler's Checks anymore. I'll check into it, but I seem to remember reading years ago that they weren't even available. Plus, businesses won't cash them. I'll report back on what I find! ~Nancy
  14. @USN59-79 That would work for me in the past, but for about the last 10 years I never have a regular mail carrier or even a regular delivery time. It's kind of sad because the woman I had as a regular was very nice and helpful! Her name was Tina!! I have no clue who delivers my mail now. 😞 ~Nancy
  15. I wish I was in Tahiti right now too!!! Those Windstar sailing ships are just beautiful but I'm actually going on the Star Breeze, which is one of Windstar's three slightly larger motor yachts. It carries 312 passengers. Is it too large for you?
  16. The OP's cruise was last month (June) but the info is good for others going in the future. @JoRoy218 how was the cruise and what did you end up doing in Sausalito? ~Nancy
  17. My local post office will not hold mail for more than 30 days and only once per year! Since then I had to get someone to collect it. ~Nancy
  18. "Mama Lee" was on the Crystal Serenity up until the shutdown. ~Nancy
  19. Have a look/search at the Live From reviews that have been posted from the Zuiderdam world cruise and the following Europe cruises this year. All kinds of info in them and you can ask those folks questions if you don't find your answers in their reports. Here are some links:
  20. Based on my previous four embarkations in Canada Place I wouldn't arrive any earlier than your 10:20 check in time because the last of the people debarking will have just finished and left the terminal by then. If it was me, I'd arrive at 10:20 or wait until about 1:30pm to avoid the most crowds. People reporting here on CC seem to have varying experiences. Some with hours of waiting and some with hardly any waits! Bring patience and have a great cruise! ~Nancy
  21. Hot Damn on the casino win!!! Congrats....and yes that did call for a celebration! ~Nancy
  22. @VMax1700 I'll be there on May 21, 2024. If you are around, I'd love to buy you and your wife a libation of your choice at a local pub! Apologies for the thread hijack @81Zoomie! I have loved reading your posts! ~Nancy
  23. @Dr.Dobro do you have another cruise/trip planned anytime soon? I don't want your trip report to end!!! All of the added tidbits of information beside the ship related stories are so interesting! ~Nancy
