  1. Several years ago I did ship excursion to soggy dollar. That way I felt confident we would not miss our departure. Had plenty of time to indulge in some painkillers
  2. We originally asked to go to La Plywood. Taxi dropped us off right next door at kalingo. We rented chairs. No need for umbrella as plenty of trees. We purchased a couple of drinks while there. A lot cheaper than all inclusive. Taxi was $16 each way. We arranged for our driver to pick us up also. BTW, looking over at La Playa it looked pretty rundown
  3. I was on that Ruby cruise also and found those omelets very odd. First cruise I had to order then have them delivered to my table. I was always able to watch them being made. Also, DH could not order “over easy” eggs in buffet but could in the dining room. I also think someone has to teach the staff how to carve meat.
  4. Got one recently. I removed the cookie, mini cupcake and large lollipop. Ended up with just an average sundae. One line for the sundaes and cones. People wanting just a cone were irritated that they had to wait while my special dessert was assembled
  5. Trash cans found on each pool deck area
  6. We made reservations months before for 2 at 6pm. Never got a table for 2. We were told it would be an hour wait. Why offer reservations if they are not able to provide? Feel the dining rooms are still set up for the old 2 seating times as most tables were for 6-8. We,too, sat at a table for 8 at breakfast although there were only 2 of us. Chair hogs were out in force. Before 6 am all loungers in shade were reserved. In Martinique, we got a lounger around 9 and the ones next to us were reserved. By 3 pm no one had been there. Had an urge to accidentally drop my ice cream on their stuff. Lol
  7. We went last week. $14 taxi each way. Pool was great as was staff. Can not use beach without water shoes $25 pp with $10 bar/restaurant credit. No problem getting lounger.
  8. I hope I get this. Have always gotten balcony and free play offers. On Feb. 23 offers expired and I now get 35-45% off. No thank you. Presently onboard with 17000 points. Can’t wait to see the CBS offer. For the money I pour in these machines, I can do a nice all inclusive and not have to fight for a lounge chair

    Table for 2

An hour wait with a reservation. You are right that early diners are probably still eating, then why allow 6 pm reservation? We are not the only ones complaining. They need to set up more 2 and 4 person tables

    Table for 2

Thanks for all the replies. It appears the dining room is still set up for the old 2 seatings way of dining. Most tables are 6-8. At breakfast they seated us alone at a table for 8 ! They are apologetic but cant/ won’t do anything about it. Think I’ll try early tonight and see what happens
  11. We are currently on the Ruby. Months ago we reserved a table for 2 at 6 pm. Have yet to not have to share. Most tables are for 6-8. There are barely any 2 tops in the dining room. I’ve never had this on previous ships. I’m not antisocial, my DH and I just wanted this as it’s our 25 anniversary
  12. We went yesterday. $20 pp. taxi $16 one way. Drinks about $15 plus 10% service and 12% tax. Quiet and relaxing until crew showed up around 1 pm. Don’t blame them they deserve to have fun after working so hard
  13. You can always use the restroom

    Oil spill effects

Has anyone been to the beach since mid February? Read that the oil spill off Trinidad is effecting the beaches in Bonair.
  15. I think a major consideration is the size of the wound. I am a visiting nurse and we teach family members how to change dressings as long as they are not too deep or too large. Infection prevention is most important. Would your MD consider ordering an antibiotic prophylacticly ? Also packing products containing silver act as an anti microbial If you decide to go this route, bring your own supplies and remember to wash your hands
  16. Agree with above. You get to snorkel with the turtles. We did Silver Moon and the lunch was also delicious. Just be sure you are arriving in port early enough
  17. If you like beaches, this is the island to go to. IMO the most beautiful and cleanest and easily reached from the port
  18. Don’t forget Princess plus also covers your gratuities. Between that and the Wi-Fi you only need about 3 wines to make it worthwhile
  19. There are multiple excursions but we chose to just wander around. Also enjoyed a couple of buffalo milk cocktails while enjoying the view
  20. Have you considered a day pass to a hotel? You can find many on line for day pass I also look for those that include shuttle to airport

    Sorobon beach

Has anyone been here ? Looks like it’s close to the port. Believe there is a public area so you don’t need to go through the resort
  22. I had to call to make reservations for MDR. I was not able to make them with the app
  23. I think first thing is to decide where and when you want to go. Do you want a larger ship with all the bells and whistles or smaller and usually older one. Do you want to sail Princess or looking at other lines. FYI almost all ships have casinos ( not on Disney) and are open on sea days and after leaving port. If you could be more specific , we may be able to help
