  1. Do you have a traditional dining time, such as 5:30 early or 8:30 late? Or do you have MTD (anytime)? If traditional, you need to be there within 15 minutes of your reserved seating time or you may not be allowed to enter. If MTD, you can probably enter until closing. Maybe someone else knows more!
  2. Wow! That should probably be posted on CC so all can see it. We'll be cruising to Cozumel in April on Serenade and I posted it there. Hey, maybe some of the suite cruisers will cancel and my RU bid will win!! One could only hope!
  3. My SIL just added another person to a room that originally was only for 2, so she got a different room but same type of cabin. Give me a minute to ask her what she was charged. Hang on. She doesn't answer her phone in a timely manner. LOL! OK, she said that, since she needed to switch rooms, they repriced the cruise at current prices for that room with 3 people but under the same reservation number. This is on the Serenade. Now, when I just moved to a regular OV balcony to an accessible OV balcony, I did not have to pay the increased current prices and everything stayed the same but I did not add or subtract anyone. Hope that helps a little maybe!
  4. Exactly this! My husband has lung issues and absolutely should not be around those smoking and/or vaping per his medical team. When he brought it up to a ship's security, they actually laughed at him for reporting someone. It's a real shame that people choose not to believe the real harm about vaping but I'm sure time will tell, hopefully, sooner than when it's too late. Flame me if you must but please, please, please go by the rules and only smoke or vape in the designated areas. I'd like my husband to be around for a long time with me! Thank you to those that understand!
  5. Can't remember which ship it was; maybe all of them have it. If you see Mississippi Mud Pie anywhere and you like Oreo cookies, you will enjoy that slice of pie!! I bet there are not many people who don't like Oreos!!😋
  6. You both look fantastic! Gorgeous gown and bouquet! Congrats! Good wishes to you both!
  7. @georgiacatOur family will be staying at one of the condos at the Ilikai this September, post Hawaii cruise. I booked the condo through AirBnB (first time doing this) and just hope it's not a big scam! The 2BR condo pictured looks gorgeous, so hope it looks as good as pictured! The views it shows looks like the condo is high up, maybe even a penthouse, though not sure. Have you cruised and stayed there yet? If possible, after you do, please let us know how it was, so my stress level decreases! LOL! Thanks in advance. My email is tnskuhn@gmail.com and I would love to hear how your stay went, as well as the cruise! Cheers!
  8. So, what are the benefits, if any, of booking airfare through the cruise lines, such as air2sea? Thanks for your reply!
  9. I'd like to know this answer as well since booking our Hawaii cruise for this September. We booked our flights through Royal's program. Where are you Ken @Ourusualbeach
  10. Yes, you can only have 8 max on-line. It did not do me any good to email or call dining services. I was told to go see the MTD manager as soon as I boarded to add the others to our table, which worked like a charm! We had a huge round table for 10 every night in MTD! Perfect! Good luck and cheers! You will need to set a time for this each night, as well.
  11. Just saw this, so wanted to give my fellow cruise friends a heads up!! That is, if the mods will let me!! https://main.gasparillapiratefest.com/parade-of-pirates?fbclid=IwAR3qdR7BxeHxm7cvhou2Ra6mX6yCvWi7d1tZ5azab49ybQTiftcMhKf1zx4
  12. I would have thought that the new menu would be on Odyssey by now. We board in 2 weeks for our B2B and, as of today, it's still the old menu. However, we booked MTD and the dining section is only showing traditional dining on decks 3 and 4 with no mention of MTD. Hmmmmmm?

  14. When cruises re-started but the crew were still masked and not allowed off of the ship at any port, we asked several crew members what they would like from the U.S., as we were returning to the same ship a few weeks later. The number one request was hot sauce! Since they couldn't get any meals in ports and the ship meals were getting boring and bland, most of them wanted the hot sauce to spice things up a bit! We brought a case of hot sauce back with us and passed them all out to those that wanted some. Tom even had to go get his luggage from the naughty room to show them what that "liquid" was inside. LOL!
  15. I'm not a big FAN of the WIND bar! LOL! Poke, poke!😉😂
  16. We just booked a brunch on Odyssey for February 5-11, 2023. Click on "onboard activities", as it is not listed in the dining section. This is for the "Sip Tour Brunch Tour", not just brunch. Not sure if it's offered without the tour. Good luck!
  17. Maybe @HicksRAneeds to start charging! If we ever meet on a cruise, I'll gladly buy him/her a drink or 2 or 3!
  18. I booked it for our upcoming February cruise on Odyssey, as the tour sounded interesting. Probably a one and done but I'm looking forward to it!
  19. If I'm on a ship, any ship, I'm happy! I'm sure I can find acceptable food somewhere!! Eat, drink, relax!! Heaven!! All cruisers are truly blessed, so be thankful and enjoy!! Cheers!!
  20. Dang! Sorry to hear that! We will board Adventure twice next year and once the following year, same room each time. Sure hope we love that room, as well as the ship! It's been awhile since we've been on Adventure, so hoping the years have been kind to her or maybe she'll be refurbished before we board, or switched to a newer ship! In any event, we will be on a ship somewhere in the Caribbean, so that's not a bad thing! Cheers!
  21. Found this for transportation options: https://www.cruzely.com/how-to-get-from-the-houston-airport-to-the-galveston-cruise-port/ Definitely two rooms, either adjoining or across the hall with one inside room and one ocean view room, maybe with balcony. The kids' programs on the ship are great but register your child on the day you board to get preferred days and times. As others have said, if you can cruise a couple of weeks before Christmas, it may be a bit cheaper and the ship will still have beautiful decorations, which they usually start putting up the day after Thanksgiving.
  22. Yippee! Just booked it for the Odyssey next month, as well as the Mariner in October! Thank you so much!! Great deal!!
  23. Check-in just for the first leg of the B2B. If in the same cabin, you do nothing. Everything stays in that room. You will need to be escorted with the other people doing a B2B off of the ship, then turn around and get right back on. Very easy! If changing rooms, just pack the little things from the drawers into your suitcases and add a new luggage room tag on them. Leave your hanging clothes in the closet. All of your things will be moved to your new room for you! Great!
