Popular times for MTD are usually when they first open around 6:30 or 6:45 to around 7:15, then the lines are shorter after that. Getting a table for 2 may be easier to squeeze in earlier. If you want to keep MTD, try to make your reservations when you first board. If you have a show and don't want to eat later, maybe eat in the Windjammer buffet or a specialty restaurant. Being flexible is a plus! Hubby and I always eat MTD and never had to wait longer than 15 minutes max. Good luck and have fun!

How to be reached in an emergency?
SilkySal replied to pittnh's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Couldn't confirm that number on my e-docs but I did find this info on RCCL's web site: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/gbr/en/faq/questions/onboard-phone-call-services And it looks that the number I provided is still correct! Yay! -

888-724-7447 at least that's what it used to be; not sure it's the same but it's listed somewhere on your e-docs as well! They would also need to have your names, your ship name, sail date, and cabin number. -
You can either set your dining times before you board via your phone app or your "My Cruises" account. If you used a travel agent, request help from them. Or, you can wait until you get on board and then proceed to the dining room, where they can help you make your reservations if needed. If you just show up for MTD at the preferred time, usually around 6:45pm with no reservation, you may have to wait a few minutes for a table. That line usually lessens after 7pm. Good luck with whatever you choose to do! Happy cruising! Also, the app also lets you see the menu for the week, if you want to do the specialty restaurant based on food served in the dining room.

Wow! That should probably be posted on CC so all can see it. We'll be cruising to Cozumel in April on Serenade and I posted it there. Hey, maybe some of the suite cruisers will cancel and my RU bid will win!! One could only hope!

My SIL just added another person to a room that originally was only for 2, so she got a different room but same type of cabin. Give me a minute to ask her what she was charged. Hang on. She doesn't answer her phone in a timely manner. LOL! OK, she said that, since she needed to switch rooms, they repriced the cruise at current prices for that room with 3 people but under the same reservation number. This is on the Serenade. Now, when I just moved to a regular OV balcony to an accessible OV balcony, I did not have to pay the increased current prices and everything stayed the same but I did not add or subtract anyone. Hope that helps a little maybe!

Nooooooooooooooooo! Say it isn't so!

Exactly this! My husband has lung issues and absolutely should not be around those smoking and/or vaping per his medical team. When he brought it up to a ship's security, they actually laughed at him for reporting someone. It's a real shame that people choose not to believe the real harm about vaping but I'm sure time will tell, hopefully, sooner than when it's too late. Flame me if you must but please, please, please go by the rules and only smoke or vape in the designated areas. I'd like my husband to be around for a long time with me! Thank you to those that understand!

Can't remember which ship it was; maybe all of them have it. If you see Mississippi Mud Pie anywhere and you like Oreo cookies, you will enjoy that slice of pie!! I bet there are not many people who don't like Oreos!!😋

@georgiacatOur family will be staying at one of the condos at the Ilikai this September, post Hawaii cruise. I booked the condo through AirBnB (first time doing this) and just hope it's not a big scam! The 2BR condo pictured looks gorgeous, so hope it looks as good as pictured! The views it shows looks like the condo is high up, maybe even a penthouse, though not sure. Have you cruised and stayed there yet? If possible, after you do, please let us know how it was, so my stress level decreases! LOL! Thanks in advance. My email is tnskuhn@gmail.com and I would love to hear how your stay went, as well as the cruise! Cheers!

So, what are the benefits, if any, of booking airfare through the cruise lines, such as air2sea? Thanks for your reply! -

My Time Dining larger group reservations
SilkySal replied to ajm's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Yes, you can only have 8 max on-line. It did not do me any good to email or call dining services. I was told to go see the MTD manager as soon as I boarded to add the others to our table, which worked like a charm! We had a huge round table for 10 every night in MTD! Perfect! Good luck and cheers! You will need to set a time for this each night, as well. -
I would have thought that the new menu would be on Odyssey by now. We board in 2 weeks for our B2B and, as of today, it's still the old menu. However, we booked MTD and the dining section is only showing traditional dining on decks 3 and 4 with no mention of MTD. Hmmmmmm?

What's going on with Royal Caribbean?
SilkySal replied to ksuyen's topic in Royal Caribbean International
When cruises re-started but the crew were still masked and not allowed off of the ship at any port, we asked several crew members what they would like from the U.S., as we were returning to the same ship a few weeks later. The number one request was hot sauce! Since they couldn't get any meals in ports and the ship meals were getting boring and bland, most of them wanted the hot sauce to spice things up a bit! We brought a case of hot sauce back with us and passed them all out to those that wanted some. Tom even had to go get his luggage from the naughty room to show them what that "liquid" was inside. LOL! -

Brunch on Odyssey of the Seas 6 Night Caribbean
SilkySal replied to Stevesmiley18's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We just booked a brunch on Odyssey for February 5-11, 2023. Click on "onboard activities", as it is not listed in the dining section. This is for the "Sip Tour Brunch Tour", not just brunch. Not sure if it's offered without the tour. Good luck! -

Maybe @HicksRAneeds to start charging! If we ever meet on a cruise, I'll gladly buy him/her a drink or 2 or 3! -
I booked it for our upcoming February cruise on Odyssey, as the tour sounded interesting. Probably a one and done but I'm looking forward to it!
