I didn't think so either; however, a few years ago (can't remember when exactly), we were on a B2B. On turnaround day, we noticed a room steward, who seemed very upset. We stopped to ask him if he was ok. He proceeded to tell us that he had been taking care of 2 cabins all week and the young guests occupying the cabins were extremely messy and he worked very hard for them. He was angry that they had their gratuities removed and did not leave him any tips whatsoever. So, now I wonder if they are able to find out when gratuities are removed. Just sayin' that was our experience.

If you're going on the cruise fairly soon, the menu will be displayed in your cruise planner on the app. We're going on Mariner in October for 8 nights to Bermuda and I can view the menu on my app. Oops, you beat me!

Hmmm, IDK but a bunch of us are going on the Wonder this December and we specifically reserved 2 casitas by the pool for the 2nd to the last sea day, which is usually the day for the belly flop! We'll be disappointed if it's not held for sure! We'll just have to drink more, I guess!😏

Not sure about the outcome from a phone call pre-cruise; however, I do know that, when we were on a previous cruise a couple of years ago, our adult kids were able to upgrade their refreshment packages to Deluxe on board the ship by just paying the difference.

I also have a B2B2B in October of this year from PC on Mariner. The 1st leg is a 5-night and the other 2 are 8 nights which include Bermuda on the 2nd two legs. Now what? Shall I assume that they will test us on board before continuing to Bermuda? Ken? Anyone? TIA!

When we were there, our family rented a car and drove up Mt Haleakala to watch the sunrise. One word - breathtaking!! Unforgettably one of my best experiences! Good luck! Cheers!

Best luau we've ever been to was the original Lahaina luau in Maui. So, after looking at a few of them in Honolulu, we will be picking the Chief's luau, which has a 5-star rating from Trip Advisor. We'll be celebrating anniversaries for DH and I, as well as my DB and his wife, so looking forward to the cruise to Hawaii!! Cheers!!

We went to the Mystery dinner once but many, many years ago. We thought it was "meh" and probably a 1 and done for us. About a dozen or so of us sat at a large table for the dinner. Throughout the meal, the actors would appear and the act was based on a "Who done it?" scenario (murder mystery). We thought our actors weren't very into it and the performance was just ok. Try to read more reviews to see if it has improved at all or even if they have enough staff to put on a good performance. We would not book it again, unless we heard better reviews. I just repriced the DBP for Odyssey next February. Price decreased from $77.99 (20% off) to $67.99 (30% off), so saved a total of $188.70 for both of us. I originally bought the RP for us and our adult kids (x4) to celebrate my milestone birthday but they had to cancel cause they refuse to get vaccinated. We were going to pay for their cruise too. So, I figured, what the heck, it's my birthday, so switched it to the DBP! Cheers!

We're booked in October on Mariner and begin with a 5-night, so no testing is required; however, we're staying on board for the next 8-night itinerary, so how will we be able to test or will it be required? TIA for your thoughts! Sal

Another scenario: We're doing a B3B this October and will be changing rooms for each leg, which have different muster stations. Will we need to fill out the safety drill on the app for each leg? I assume we will but wanted to ask.

Hey Ken, I also have an issue. We booked (on-line) the Odyssey next February to celebrate my birthday. I also booked 2 other rooms for our adult kids. This was back in November, 2021, before all the vaccine and testing requirements were in place. Our kids refuse to get any of the required shots, so I tried to cancel their reservations. Even though I booked them on-line and used my CC, the agent said that they would each need to call to cancel and, since it was a NRD, I would probably get nothing back. Yesterday, I wrote an email to RCI "contact info" explaining all of this and haven't heard back just yet. Wondering if you have any advice for our scenario? I think I owe you some $$ for all of the advice you've given me! TIA! Sal Oh, the agent also said that I should wait until RCI's new rules come out in September but I don't want to wait that long to cancel their rooms.
