  1. I was very surprised and disappointed, since I'd heard good things beforehand. I've sailed on RCL's Adventure and Allure in the past year, which are both older than Breeze, and they were lovely. There's no excuse for Carnival letting it get that way when other lines are able to maintain their ships. I think maybe they are also using cheaper materials/furnishings to start with, and they aren't holding up as well over time.
  2. My guys really like the feature where you can have 4 channels on split screen at once, so they can watch 4 football games at the same time.
  3. Discovery Princess. He enjoyed our Lido deck cabin's proximity to pizza and cookies. Also, our cabin was forward-facing with a huge balcony (but cheaper as it was categorized as "obstructed" due to the metal rail), which was really cool. 😂 He swam in the pool one day and enjoyed that. He didn't miss the slides.
  4. We switched to YouTube TV at the beginning of the year. It's so much cheaper than cable. We love it, especially the unlimited cloud storage for recordings. We never have to worry about the DVR being too full and deleting shows anymore. The only channel we really miss is History.
  5. I agree with this. We have sailed both Princess and Carnival this year. The Princess ship was much cleaner overall. The Carnival ship (Breeze, so not even one of the oldest ones) was in shabbier shape than it should have been for its age and there were lots of stains/trash/food residue. We are not elderly and had a great time on Princess. Our 13yo son said it was his favorite cruise ever.
  6. What the heck?? It worked just fine for us yesterday getting off Breeze.
  7. Really enjoyed following your review while we were on Breeze. Sorry that our cruise is already over and yours will be tomorrow. They are never long enough!
  8. It was actually a lot of food; I could only eat about half of it. Appetizer was baked Brie with fig chutney and dessert was a browned butter maple wedge. Everything was delicious. AND I didn’t have to cook it!
  9. Cruise ship MDR - our Thanksgiving dinner tonight. I was surprised to discover that the dressing had RAISINS in it!! I actually liked it, although it was odd at first. 😂 @A&L_Ont
  10. It’s not on here on the Breeze, either. They just made an announcement that it had something to do with a college basketball game that went into overtime?
  11. Looks like a white ballcap to me. My husband attaches his to his backpack like that when he’s not wearing it.
  12. Very interesting to see it in action. I saw them (not moving) on our cruise and I thought they would move sideways, not down from the top.
  13. That's where we would load up on cookies to take back to our balcony...
  14. For all of you sailing Celebrity Beyond next year, as we are, yesterday I learned that their Black Friday sale had started. I've had 3 excursions and the wifi package in my cart for months now, but the sale prices were significantly lower, so I finally completed the purchase. The wifi was 50% off.
  15. Thanks for the info! I had checked yesterday and the prices were the same, but today significantly discounted.
  16. I hope the stragglers are being appropriately heckled. I find pier-runner watching entertaining, especially in Cozumel. The last time we were there (July), a ship excursion arrived late, so all of the usual stragglers just blended in with the excursion people. Ruined the whole thing. 😂
  17. We went to Sabatini's one night on our Princess cruise. We rarely do specialty restaurants due to the extra cost (MDR is usually fine for us and already paid for), but at $35 we figured why not. We all really enjoyed it, but we didn't try the steakhouse so I can't compare it to that. I would eat there again.
  18. Alfredo's/Gigi's was still an included venue when we were on Discovery back in March. It is now an upcharge restaurant, so the change is recent. Very sad. We ate lunch there twice on our cruise, and we had to wait 30+ minutes both times because it was so popular then. It is a table-service restaurant where a server takes your order, so it's nicer than the other cruise ship pizza places you've seen. Also, they have a few other things than pizza. I had an amazing veal ravioli with a cream sage sauce both times. Here's the thread discussing the changes. It's pretty disappointing.
  19. Oh yikes, that sounds terrible. I hope that the doctor will listen to her andshe will be able to find relief. Six weeks is a long time to deal with pain.
