  1. On the Riviera right now. For those asking in the past, the depth on this particular ship is 5’11”. Great to have on these hot days!
  2. I’ve been reading a current passengers report staying in an aft cabin on deck 8 having a loud, thumping noise when the ship is moving. We are scheduled in 2026 to stay in one of the above aft cabins. Has anyone stayed in these cabins and experienced the same problem? We still have time to change our location. Thank you!
  3. Thank you very much AMHuntferry!
  4. We will be boarding in Barcelona this Saturday at around 11:00. Does anyone recall the approximate time the Penthouse Suites are available to access? Thank you!😄
  5. When we were in a little town in Europe last year, I walked into a shop looking for a Christmas ornament I like to collect when we travel. The young woman who did not know what I wanted, pulled out her cell phone and with a big smile on her face pointed at the phone. I knew at that point she would convert my request into her language. We both laughed and she immediately took me to find an ornament. That was great service!
  6. We live with a budget also. Since my poor husband married a claustrophobic we always fly premium economy to Europe and reserve a penthouse suite. However since we cruised last year and have an upcoming cruise in a week we agreed that we will stay home in 2025 and cruise from Florida in 2026. We can save up all next year and will not have expensive airfare!
  7. For what it’s worth, today we pre purchased a future cruise from home that we would have ordered on an upcoming cruise in 3 weeks. For a Penthouse 10 day cruise in 2026 we received a $600.00 discount and the paltry $100 SBC ($50. Each). Our Oceania agent suggested we check in with the future cruise ambassadors when we board and said we can receive any higher credit offered while on board.
  8. Thank you Cruzin Terri! We will be on board Riviera in about 3 weeks and the cruise we want to book on the Allura for 2026 already went up $200.per person and that for a 10 day cruise. Nothing is ever a guaranty but we will act quickly if it’s a good promo!
  9. I wouldn’t mind seeing this too!
  10. What is the cost of the Bubbly Bar or by chance is it included with “dinner wine, beer or champagne” Simply More? Thanks!
  11. What a wonderful review! I have a feeling from reading your post that you would have a great time wherever you went. Hope you make another cruise in the near future and thanks for sharing your thoughts!
  12. Well CLO the Allura looks like it is going to be a stunning ship. We almost booked on Viking but the ships photos did not look like anything special (plus wanting full payment a year or more ahead of the cruise). I like the more glamorous look of the Vista/Allura. I also love the beds on Oceania. I like that they have added plunge pools to the spa terrace as we used the Spa’s Thalassotherapy pool on our last cruise on the Riviera often and we are looking forward to it on our next cruise in August! I believe they also added a crepe station on the Allura. The layout of Allura Ive looked at on line just presents an environment I can’t wait to enjoy! I also really like the roomy Penthouse suites that will be like the Riviera which have great balconies. Thanks for asking!
  13. I’m so looking forward to sailing on the Allura!😃
  14. Looking forward to August cruise of the Mediterranean on Riviera. While onboard am planning on booking 2026 February cruise on the new Allura on a Miami to Miami route. The Penthouse 3 went UP $200. per person since yesterday! Guess certain cruises will suffer for the cruises on sale! 😉
  15. Penthouse 3 on Riviera did not have the shower conversion.
  16. The terrace on you tubes looks a bit narrow. Can anyone who might be onboard now tell me the length of the terrace and for that matter the suite width. The square footage is not what I am looking for. Thanks so much!
  17. Well it is off season so there might be shops not open at every port. You can check the excursions offered on the cruise you are interested in and on the bottom they will mention if this might be the case. Personally I would try another time.
  18. We were on the second leg of that cruise and were crushed when cancelled. Here is what I did. Booked us on an August cruise from Barcelona to Rome. (Our airline credits needed to be used by September!). I asked Oceania to look into honoring our credits for booking the cancelled cruise while on another cruise and another credit for booking early. We only had the deposit down which they will switch to new cruise. Trawick insurance allowed us to switch coverage but had to pay for 3 additional days. I would confirm with the insurance company if you could switch cruise plans and still be covered. It was a horrible few days but am now looking forward to future trip! Good luck to you.
  19. Thanks for sharing your experiences. When we sail in June on Riviera, will make sure we are in the theater with the first group of Oceania excursions when we plan on our own port visits. Sounds like Oceania might also be receiving incorrect info from these ports but would help if they acknowledged this and maybe asked for passengers patience. Glad you also appreciate other aspects of Oceania - May you enjoy smooth sailing going forth!
  20. Hi Bella C, my husband and I will be on the same cruise as you but it’s June 10 to 17 th! Look on your reservation papers and on the first or second page it will tell you when you can make specialty restaurant reservations. We are rocking seniors also and for a 7 day cruise you can get by with one pair of nice slacks, with various tops for the specialty restaurants and Main Dining room. I guess I would say it’s like going out for a celebration dinner. We will probably spend two dinners at the Terrace Cafe where you can wear what you wore during the day! People going on shore wear what is comfortable for them. If you are visiting churches you should prepare to have your shoulders and knees covered to be on the safe side. We will be going on 3 Oceania tours and walk around on our own in St. Tropez so can’t help you with on shore tours. Have a wonderful time!
  21. Thank you so much! I didn’t think about having to get a tender ticket if not, going on an excursion!
  22. Just wondering if when we arrive in Saint Tropez will my husband and I be allowed to board a tender when the excursions start or at least not have to wait until the excursions are over. Thank you!
  23. Oops thought I remembered lids and that was only back in May!
