  1. Back-to-Back on the Nieuw Statendam commencing Nov. 11 til Nov. 26, 2022. Second week was around American Thanksgiving. 1. Book drop-off in the hallway behind Crow's Nest bar. Lots of use. 2. First week 2547 s.o.b.. Second week (Thanksgiving) 2800 s.o.b., including 400 kids!! 3. No night light or curling iron plug in in Signature suite washroom 4. No round bar of soap anymore in room washroom. Liquid hand soap dispenser on the wall. 5. Sign a paper receipt at the bar when you order a drink. Lots of extra work for bar tenders. 6. 12 laps around jogging track on deck 11 equals 1 mile. 7. Pinnacle restaurant second appetizer is $7. Ceasar salad was worth less than a buck!! 8. Chair Hogs on aft Lido Deck were rampant. Signs posted stating 30 min. or less to reserve a chair was ignored and not regulated. 9. In room food dishes or trays should be left in room. Dial 92 for in room tray pick up. Wheelchairs and scooters can't get by if left in halls. 10.Spa Swedish massage for 75 min. was $199 plus $35.82 auto gratuity.! Added info cancer sticks were on sale at Seaview bar for $7us for 20(cough, cough) 400 kids flooded the usually quiet serenity invading the aft Lido pool during the second week. HAL officers observed but did not intervene causing many complaints to guest services. If you want a laid back, quiet HAL cruise avoid American Thanksgiving week. It was night and day from the first week.
  2. Our luggage is hard sided, and I did not purchase air tag holders. Anyone have problems with signal not getting through? thanks Bob
  3. HAL got rid of their libraries too, except their newest ship has a beautiful library and a rack to leave books you brought and finished!! Bob
  4. To show ownership of stocks do you include a picture in your email? Bob
  5. It has been a while. Is the number still 206-281-0627? Thanks Bob
  6. Received a glossy "Destination Collection" from Princess that shows deck plans and routes from April 2022 til May 2023 Any word when HAL will avail their revered "Cruise Atlas". My Old one is dog eared and coffee stained...sigh Bob
  7. We are Canadian. Will they mail Medallions to us? thanks Bob
  8. First timer wondering if I have to wait til after final payment date to book excursions and dinner reservations at Crown Grill? thanks bob
  9. First timer wondering if there is a Oriental or Asian fusion station onboard? Thanks Bob
  10. As a long time HAL signature suite sailor I am familiar with hanging out a door tag each night. The selection never changed. As a newbie Princess premium suite sailor I am looking forward to seeing what hot items are available and hopefully better night time main stage entertainment thanks everyone Bob
  11. We are happy to order from a tag and eat on our balcony rather than go out to a restaurant Thanks Bob
  12. Can you have hot items delivered to your suite at a set time? Thanks
  13. Can mini suites order hot breakfast items delivered to their rooms at a specific time? Do these suites have a raised table on their balconies? Thank newbie Bob
  14. Tried to fill out Arrcan app for three days prior to our arrival back in April. I kept getting an error code. Told this to the custom agent and she asked if we were vaccinated. We said yes and she waved us through. Bob
  15. Anyone arriving on Friday July 8, tell us about your experience with rogers down!!?? Bob
  16. Got off Rotterdam on April 10 and one of the big disappointments was shrimp were substituted for lobster . Lobster was available at a substantial cost in the Pinnacle!! Anyone just off a HAL ship experiencing a change? Bob
  17. Hopefully the GOC will drop the Arrivecan app as requested by the mayors of border communities!!
  18. Dial 92 when you finish your in room repast. When the phone is answered tell the person your room number and you would like a tray pick up. Seeing hordes of silent scooters passing in the narrow hallways and placing a tray or dishes outside your door is a sign of a HAL newby!! Sail on Bob
  19. Got off the Rotterdam April 10. We were surprised during the previous 2 weeks signs on board stated "masks were recommended." Those wearing masks inside including on packed elevators were rare. Many who masked up were wearing them below their noses!! The FLL airport departure lounge April 10 was packed. Not an empty seat at 10am. Every one was masked, most correctly Bob
  20. On three trans Atlantics we were able to enjoy temperatures in mid 70 and calm seas. If you have a balcony and want to get sun in the afternoon book on the port side Bob
  21. Is not showing proof of vaccination and booster enough at customs. With delays inbound at customs, would eliminating this extra step of showing an arrivecan code speed things up? What are your thoughts? Bob
