Yes as long as you cancel 48 hours prior to the excursion start time.
Thank you 😁

I booked a couple of shore excursions for my August Baltic cruise that were 25% off - just in case that's the only way off the ship.
Excellent point, I had passed over the excursions for Dec 2021, but who really knows what the world will look like even that far away.
QUESTION, if I book and don't want to do the excursion because BY THEN we Are allowed off the ship without excursions .... Can I simply cancel onboard and get obc as refund??

Ken, you always give great advice, this spreadsheet was fantastic , thank you so much for posting link.

When I first read ken's idea I thought, ugh
Then started to read the replys and thought this is 2020's version of a tipping/formal night thread LOL
I am enjoying a thread about people and their wants, INSTEAD of covid, masks and everything else.

Yes that is what I am asking.
because the one booked direct have less ports, therefore we would be on the ship more and using the dining and drink package more, so the only reason I could come up with was because they didn't have to pay a commission
-
The one I have booked direct thru royal Caribbean is on sale AGAIN
BUT the one I, L&S thru a BIG box ta, never goes on sale and that is the one I really want the UDP and REFRESH package.
Anyone know if items on the cruise planner, on cruises booked thru a TA
usually go on sale ?

I was checking out Quantum in the Royal app for a Nov. date and noticed the deck plans in the app already have the "Casino VIP" converted to "Music Hall" and the "Noodle Shop" on the pool deck called "Splashaway Cafe". Looking at the deck plans on the website it references the old Asia venues.
The Golden Room remains but that should be a pretty simple conversion back to a Diamond Lounge.
So it seems they have already started the westernization, at least in planning.
That's disappointing, I for one was actually looking forward to the Noodle Shop 😕

I know that everyone is frustrated. We all want to get back to sea. I hate it when someone makes a post that should be viewed as positive and then they are immediately bashed for being overly optimistic or a dreamer. I realize none of us want to be disappointed again as more and more cruises are cancelled and delays keep getting extended. But, there are those who are making it through this by clinging to glimmers of hope. We all have to get through this in our own way, and it sure doesn't help to berate and mock those posters. Remember, we will all be back to sea together; the optimist, the pessimist, the realist, the dreamers. Please reserve all negative and nasty posts for those post regarding tipping and MDR attire... LOL Just kidding! Come on people, let's get along and get through this together!
😍😍😍 😆😆😆 👍👍👍

We didn't get an invoice but we received $200 additional OBC on one of our cruises that we L&S'd.
Unfortunately I had the complete opposite experience. My cruise got cancelled when I called to L&S, it took 3hrs finally my TA came back on the line. And said it was DONE but the price has changed and all my obc was GONE. but she said " that's ok it was still a great deal compared to the existing price that you shifted to"
WOW REALLY. lesson learned, I will only book direct from now on. reservation Was too old to transfer

We are also on Quantum in May and I also think that Quantum is not coming to Alaska. We are hoping that lift and shift is extended until when Alaska 2022 is released so we can move our booking.
Yes 😁
-
We will be on Quantum in May 2021, my fear is the difference in price is because quantum is NOT actually coming to Alaska and rcl doesn't tell us , just to get or keep our money. It's the only reason I can see for SUCH a big price difference.

On all my cruises, several different cruise lines ,ALL I have shown them is my passport.

Still doesn't help us if boarding is that late. Flying across country we still would not arrive on east coast until after 5:30. Maybe with a genie boarding can be at the front of the line. Still hoping for our Allure in Feb.
For us it depends on the city, I grow up in South Florida so I think Meh, but Seattle we fly in several days before
-
As a person who enjoys flying in the morning OF , and dislikes having to get up at 3am to do so. I hope the delayed boarding with enhanced cleaning is permanent 😁

Not only that but it is expected to start getting even worse for the fall. People, especially in the states, have been very bad at being socially responsible.
It's NOT supposed to get worse this fall, they are saying hospitals have seasonal flu people AND now covid people THIS fall, that is WHAT IS worse.
You must have misspoke and forget the word "SOME"
BECAUSE SOME of the people in the U.S. ARE being responsible

I agree. I really don't think the one day cleaning thing would mean much. The virus is mainly transmitted by people basically breathing on other people and cleaning the ship won't prevent that.
Yes it's definitely thru the air, but an example from the grocery store today. Before I put my items on the belt, she asked me to WAIT so she could wipe the entire belt down then did the same as I walked off. DID it help prevent covid spread PROBABLY not.... But it definitely made me feel better.

Maybe having disembarkation one day then Embarkation the next day so the ships can have a thorough clean down and virus spraying before the next lot of passengers get on.
well I would definitely go for this idea. 6night cruises with 24hrs of cleaning inbetween. Cruise lines would lose some revenue BUT it would do a LOT to boost customer confidence and all around cleanliness. 👍👍👍

Example.... I am diamond triple plus and have a $19,000 Super Duper Suite booked, can anyone tell me if the weather in ft Lauderdale is less humid than Miami ???I
Is the beginning bragging or our negativity ???

I laughed so hard because I can totally relate to the picture you painted of you being animated and hands flapping ...is me to a tee.
And the more animated the more he knows I want to go 😁
because it's not so much the money as "getting a deal, aka our money's worth"
After all the years of selling him on "the deals i got", he now expects a deal and a show from me 😃

My suggestion, although it would add another hour or so, have you looked into
key largo, they have great hotels, far far less populated and if your looking for paradise not crowds ,traffic or nightlife. KEY LARGO
