You need to be aware that, even if your cabin is marked 'No upgrade', Princess could still upgrade you. It has been known to happen, so I advise you to keep checking regularly.

I know I could simply call princess BUT I have far MORE faith in the CC community than in ANY company THESE days.

I have a cruise booked for next year and have found the perfect (for me) cabin. I have read on other threads about upgrades.

I am certain, there was probably a box to check, while making my princess.com reservation. But I truly don't know weather I made sure during the reservation process, that I am NOT eligible for an upgrade. I have an angled regular balcony and would not want a deluxe balcony or even minisuite. Although some nay-sayers will say WHAT, be happy with an possible upgrade, I defiantly would not be pleased.

I am hoping there is somewhere on princess.com, I can check for myself. As my experience with other cruise lines, has left me with no faith in the 1-800#'s.

Ah, the joy of formal night. When you fly your best clothes halfway around the world to impress people you've never met.

I thought it was VERY FUNNY, because no matter what the ...take everything so literal....People say, it true to SOME degree.

One deposit per passenger per cruise, and thus, one OBC per passenger per cruise. FCD's can not be used to pay a portion of the cruise fare beyond the $100 deposit. Does not apply to 3rd and 4th berths.

If you have more than one FDC you use it on another cruise, or it is fully refundable if you let it expire. If you book a b2b you can use one FDC for each leg and get the OBC for each leg. You have to calculate the math to determine the best net cost.

If you are a couple each should purchase an FDC in their name, not two FDC's in a single name.

So you are saying, if I have a cruise booked for Dec 2016, with deposit paid....if I go one a cruise this Dec, there's no sense in putting a fcc down, because they won't let me apply it to Dec 2016

Which was already my understanding, as princess' info reads....a new booking...

But I just wanted to see, if you can verify.

Some meds that deal with irregular heartbeats, some that deal with mood swings, some that deal with chemo as another poster mentioned. This certainly isn't complete but is what comes to mind right now.

My DH suffered from a nerve disease that was so painful that it changed his personality on a daily basis.

 

He would become angry at everyone he encountered and I would try and intercede before the poor souls came in contact with him.

 

He was truly a lovely man but when he was in pain, the whole world suffered.

 

I would feel so badly for him because I knew what was going on, the public did not. But, if they came close to him in an elevator, at the market, standing in line or on an airplane he would "bark" at them in an angry tone. He loved to travel but it was becoming increasingly more and more difficult for him and for me to watch him.

 

He recently passed away but not before he terrorized every nurse and doctor in the hospital.

 

So, next time someone "barks" at you or you see them acting badly towards someone else, it may not be something they really mean but something that is happening to them and they can't help it! My husbands illness taught me a lot and gave me great insight into human behavior. It may not be a good excuse for poor behavior but it may be an explanation.

 

I wish I could apologize to EVERYONE who had to bear witness to my DH's rages and pray that I NEVER have to experience such sadness again!

Dear Roz and Horton , I am so sorry for your loss. Parts of your story are so similar to my mother(best friend) 's , illness and passing. As an extremely polite southern woman, I understand how you felt in those moments and I also understand having different perspectives now. Thank you for sharing. As you probably know...it doesn't get easier (with time) just different.

I think, in the world TODAY, people seem to lose sight of certain facts. Princess is GIVING customers this package to book a cruise. In my case, princess lowered the price of the cruise AND gave me aibp. I understand , you want to get the most for your money but it's FREE. People are SO used to getting , getting ,getting. Please don't take this ugly, I just think that maybe the complete lack of customer service today is THE issue. Not how to get the most freebies. I agree with other comments...take the free package, in the spirit it was intended and have him drink... cokes, coffee and bottle water. I know I can drink at least 3bottles of water a day.

Well I sorta have the answers. I found a thread with a link, a lady created a spreadsheet (with the intention of figuring out weather the beverage package was a good deal BUT) it will answer all of your beverage questions. It's a complete list of all cocktails, beers wines with the prices....it's AWESOME. Unfortunately, I have no clue how to get you there. SORRY , hunt to princess thread involving beverage packages.

With regard to the breakfast tea, I have learned that if there is something packable (tea bags, in this case) that I can't do without, I bring it with me. I have also learned (the hard way) to always bring a carry-on with enough clothing to scrape by with on a trip in case checked bags get lost.

That is great news, thanks, because I want to go to the 1st formal night ( to get our picture taken) but don't plan to dress up twice. I wanted to make 2 reservations at the speciality restaurant BEFORE we board, so that great to hear... I can make my resv. And if the 2nd happens to the 2nd formal night, we're still, good in regular clothes....Thank again for reply :)

I hope something I ask my help others :) my question is about formal night, other cruise lines I've been on change their days of the week for which , the formal night is on, i.e. once I had the 1st formal night on Monday, then other ship 1st formal night Tuesday(all 7 day cruises). As most of my experience is with Ncl , which has no formal night.

I was wondering does princess have SET days, for formal night or does it vary???? TY

I have a question, as a cruiser also going on my first princess. We have gotten the all inclusive beverage package. Other cruise lines , only offer fountain soda in their bev.package... BUT am I mistaken, my understanding of princess' policy is....ANY drink under $10 including cans of soda. ???? Plus my husband is a fresh squeezed oj junky, other threads have said the fresh squeezed machines are at most bars, I have scoured the 3000+ pics of regal (the ship were going on) and have never seen oj machine , do know any specific info on fresh squeezed oj ???? OTHER than breakfast (we don't get up early enough) , tks for any help :)

Wish I wasn't Soooo far away (regal princess, Dec 11 2016) switched to next year to get the sip and sail, were not huge drinkers but it will save us about $500. Really can't wait to buy products :) have been on ncl, they have nothing and Rc allure of the seas (Oct 20 14) I still haven't even made a dent in those perfumes lol thanks again :)

I have scoured the internet looking for a list of brands sold on regal princess, especially the fragrance and beauty brands. You answered the estee lauder question....so I thought you may know.

Would love a complete list of brands but can't find that, SO would be VERY happy to know ....if you recall seeing clinique and chanel cosmetics on princess ships. Thank you.

Well I just cancelled my January cruise and rebooked on Royal Caribbean. As a person who has been one 3 ncl...then rc allure.... then back to ncl just this past april. I can say without a doubt, they will enforce there new rules, not with100% accuracy but things had discretely all ready begun to change, when I was on the jewel 1st week of April. Goodbye freestyle.

I agree this issue is not about doggy bags. It's about being able to bring food from the buffet to your room if your not feeling up to a big meal or Not wanting to eat in that chaos , of a buffet. And I also agree that, as we rarely eat dessert ...but I enjoy being able to take it to go ESPECIALLY from the pay restaurants ! If NCL wants to stop to go food, then make the speciality restaurant, fees PER ITEM, why am I paying for a dessert I cannot eat and cannot take to go.

hoping you might be able to answer this question also, i have looked for the answer and it doesnt seem that this exact question is out there (to my knowledge) .... I had a gift cert. i went online posted to my reservation as obc, called rccl to get confirmation, she sent me an email showing 500.00 obc, problem is >> it went on my friends name (she is listed 1st on room), they said i could just fix it once on board, which seems like a HUGE pain in the ___. >>>DOES ANY ONE KNOW, IF I JUST GOT A DIFFICULT OPERATOR AND NEED TO CALL BACK OR IS FIXING ON BOARD MY ONLY OPTION.... ps my friend is NOT interested in keeping obc and just giving me the difference, she is not drinker.
