  1. There is no testing involved. The US only requires a valid passport. You can easily check that. As for why not just renew it passport renewals are currently backed up.
  2. You don't need six months to fly home to the United Sates. You only need a valid unexpired passport.
  3. For that itinerary her passport is fine. It only has to be unexpired.
  4. Pre Covid the public ferry to St. George's never ran daily. It only ran weekdays. It did not run on the weekend. Also there was no service in the winter. The summer ferry service to St. George has run appox May through October weekdays only but last summer not every weekday. Plus the service was suspended for weeks while they repaired the ferry dock in St.George's. So the day you were there recently with no service falls under one of the above. Sometime in April the summer schedule will be released for 2023.
  5. Since you are on NCL ( I sa your dates on youe Scuba question) your best bet would be the free ferry to St. Goerge that NCL runs from the Dockyard for it's passneger. I could give you a bus itinerary from Hamitlton but I don't think you need it.
  6. I have not seen them either but I have looked at pictures showing what to look for. I do check every cruise cabin and hotel room. I hope I never actually see them!
  7. Glad you replied as you are quite knowledgeable about documentation for cruises. I don't see any mention of a flight back to Europe. She came 3000 miles. That could be the west coast of the US. Europe is about 4500 miles Just saying....
  8. There is no application, $40 fee, Covid testing, or Covid vaccination requirements currently . So that answers the question asked. No need for us to rehash the past
  9. I fired up my iPad and turned it to portrait orientation and the 35 showed up. It is not there in landscape. orientation. I don't see the point of reading the forums in portrait orientation. Too much work reading them that way. Hard to hit the touchpoints and activity steam options are only available from the hamburger menu. I would guess the 35 in portrait orientation is a coding bug or artifact. Cruise Critic can send a bug report to Invision.
  10. I see the number on my iPhone in portrait mode. It is not there in landscape mode. Cruise Critic is not really usable in portrait mode on a phone. it is usable in a pinch in landscape mode. The mobile browser is pretty bad on small screens so I usually only use iPads and my laptop. Cruise Critic works poorly on touch screens. The discontinued Cruise Critic app worked pretty good on touch screens. Too bad it is gone. Since I don't take a computer on cruises only my iPhone and iPad I don't bother with Cruise Critic when I am on a cruise like I did when CC had the app. .
  11. They are launching at a fast rate. Musk is not operating Starlink. He is a pretender who likes attention takes credit for other peoples work. Same with Tesla. He was lucky with investments years ago. Twitter on the other hand is his mess now.
  12. I am a beach person and have been to so many beaches in the Caribbean, Mexico and Bermuda and never picked up sand flies but I suppose it is possible. I think bed bugs are likely brought on from a pre cruise hotel and it could even be be that OP brought them on.
  13. I have been on over 60 cruises, only 5 on HAL and nothing that was posted about the incident would make me hesitate about booking HAL again. What happened was an act of god and HAL handled the aftermath pretty well. I do agree that the $100 is on the stingy side, For good will they should have given more. $200 or $300 would have been a win. For 3 days affected out of 21 I don't think any cruise line would give you credit for a whole new cruise for something that was weather related. You leave out in your reply I quoted above that they gave you an immediate $150 OBC which to me was very positive. Thank you for posting as people should know that the ship might leave and that sometimes cruises don't go as palnned but I am not deterred from booking HAL by your account.
  14. The Visitors Information Centre is not closed on Monday's. Possibly they might not open in the off season when there are no ships on a Monday at the Dockyard but they will be open when your ship is there last week of April.
  15. You stand on the bridge in the cavern. You can call that a walk if you want.
  16. If you are over the limit you will have to fill out the form and declare. The lack of forms does not mean you don't have to declare and Cohibas are still illegal. They random luggage checks.
  17. It is just a short walk on a bridge over the clear spring. It is not what I would call a pathway. You are really just in a cavern on a bridge over the water. You can't go anywhere. Fantasy Caves has a pathway. Not a long one though.
  18. The water will be cold the first week of April. I found even May to be too cold for me. YMMV The caves are 88 steps down and 88 steps back up. I would not do those with a bad knee. YMMV. Crystal cave when you get down there is no walk, you just look. Fantasy Cave has a path. As to whether it is worth it if you have been to any large caves in the US they don’t compare.
  19. I like the comments that possibly they came from elsewhere. Do think bed bugs are native to the ocean or ships? Since many cruisers stay at hotels before a cruise that is where they can be picked up. The OP May have stayed at a hotel pre cruise, picked up the bed bugs and brought them onboard.
  20. That is really silly. It is possible on any cruise line. I always inspect around the bed on any ship cabin or hotel room when I first enter. Don’t forget the headboard.
  21. Book the other night on your own. Likely you will pay less than with NCL for the extra night. Too bad you are past final payment. We never book hotels with the cruise line or any other 3rd party for that matter. We book direct online with hotels as that is usually less expensive.
  22. Always have been able to. EDLs are trusted traveler ID the same as Passport Cards. EDL is only issued in 5 states.
  23. The Cruise Critic forums are not set up for that. There are too many users. Breaking the forums into up to sub forums works best with the size of Cruise Critic.
