  1. They have keys to TSA locks. I had the same luggage. It predated TSA locks. If the luggage was not left unlocked TSA would pry it open.
  2. What I like about a Tilley Airflo is that it also a good hat if it rains,. I can wear it in the water too. I wear an old old Tilley in the pool and hot tubsl. The only negative is that it won't stay on my head if it is windy. The strap will keep it from blowing away but there is no protection if it won't stay on my head. So I always pack a ball cap too.
  3. The bars are open. You can use your drink package. Shops are closed. The casino opens at 9:00 PM
  4. Many years ago that happened to a soft sided rollerboard I had on a trip. That is exactly what we did, Bought two straps and we were able to finish the trip with the straps.
  5. Glad you posted that. I was not up to arguing about it.
  6. Your excursion with Royal will be the same one if done through the Island Tour Centre but for $6 you might as well book through the ship.
  7. I have not done the excursion but usually visit in June. The humidity is not miserable then. July and particularly August are high humidity. You don’t have to book through NCL unless you are getting some type of excursion credit. Independent it costs $85. How much is NCL charging. Also if you are worried about the pace you can rent pedal bicycles on your own.
  8. Cruise Critic does not allow recommendations of TA’s.
  9. In the USA faking flights around I don't take much cash. Around home area only a few dollars and one cc. I pay for everthing with Apple Pay on my watch. I carry one physical card to use at sit down restaurants. My barber only takes cash though. Won't even take Venmo. Where I have needed cash is traveling on cruises or some land vacations. I have bought some local art and they don't take credit cards. On road trips it is possible that I may need some cash if I broke down or at a farmers market. In Mexico the taxis in Cozumel and Riviera Maya only take cash. Also I try to avoid cards in Mexico because once every seven or eight trips fraudulent charges. In Bermuda most taxis only take cash. Other islands too. Many tour operators in the Caribbean only take cash. Thought I would mention AMEX is not a good backup card. A lot of paces in the US and abroad don't take AMEX or (Discover).
  10. The best ones to get open like suitcase. Cotopaxi is one example.
  11. The odds of ending up in a situation are low. In any case your analogy to gas station sushi does not apply as all that is needed to fly back from Mexico if it happened is a valid unexpired passport. They will be ok. There is no six month rulefor a US citizen to fly back to the USA. OP is actually in great shape as they will be cruising with a passport.
  12. All you need to fly back to the US in an emergency is a valid passport. The US does not require 6 months. A birth certificate won't help you with unexpected emergencies. You can't fly back with a birth certificate. You would have to get an emergency passport. When is the cruise? Passport renewal time is backed up and running 7 to 9 weeks. There could be time to renew if your cruise is not close to that window. If I were cruising and the cruise was over 3 months away I would send it in for renewal now. I would still have the birth certificate as backup.
  13. No it is not required by Celebrity for domestic cruises. Can't you see the subheading. It is only required for International Air travel. https://www.celebritycruises.com/faqs/travel-documents Domestic Sailings Domestic sailings are all sailings originating and ending in ports located in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, including Panama Canal sailings. Required travel documents for Domestic Sailings > Passport Requirements A valid passport is a requirement for air travel to/from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda. Valid passport (unless otherwise noted below) or other Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) compliant document will be accepted for entry or re-entry into the United States. The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) requires all travelers to and from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda to present a valid passport or other approved document that establishes the bearer's identity and citizenship in order to enter or reenter the United States.
  14. Only carrying $40 is a bad idea. Your card could be rejected. The ATM networks could go down. There could be an emergency where you need cash. I take about $500 on a cruise. I also keep about $500 at home for necessities in case of a natural disaster and the grid goes down. Some think you should have $1000 at home. My $500 home cash stash come with me on a cruise. I also use cash from that for any needed cah tips.
  15. I hope you compared Interline with non interline fares. Years ago when I could nget them about 70% of the time I could get a better fare non interline. As to why Celebrity internet is high, it is higher tax other cruise lines it is because they want you to book the all included packages.
  16. You don't need six months for a Mexican Rivera cruise. All you need is an unexpired passport.
  17. Royal Caribbean requires vaccination on cruises from Hawaii to Vancouver. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/what-vaccines-are-required-to-travel-on-a-cruise
  18. I had read those posts but some were saying they only asked if vaccinated, that they didn’t look at the vaccination documentation at land crossings. Thus if they actually checked it would be problematic if someone said yes and had no documentation. That was the context. I think it would be stupid to say yes and not have the documentation but we know there are people who do things like that.
  19. Unless there has been a recent change all I had to do in recent years was login and the other device would be logged out. I never had to log it out.
  20. They could fly out of the USA. I have relatives in Montreal and Toronto and sometimes used airports near Canada in the US because the flights were cheaper. Also if they were going on a cruise they would drive to Florida and not fly. But if they check vac status at land border crossings then that would be problematic.
  21. Staring May 24 every Wednesday until end of August. 7PM to 10 PM https://www.royalgazette.com/local-business/business/article/20230227/harbour-nights-extended-to-15-weeks-as-vendor-registration-opens/
  22. The minibus shuttles don't normally drop off at Warwick but if you talk to the drivers you might find one who will drop you there. I did that and a driver did agree to drop me there after stopping and unloading at Horseshoe. The charge was $9 to Warwick. Plus I gave him a good tip. I don't hink getting dropped off there is unusual but you need to ask before you climb in the van. You could also take the public bus or a taxi. After I spent enough time there I walked the beach trail to Horseshoe and went back to the Dockyard on a minibus from there. That was my intention to do the beach walk. There won't be any minibuses waiting to pickup at Warwick and taxis are rare. If I was not going to do the beach walk I probably would have taken the public bus back to the Dockyard as I was there solo. The others in my group did not want to do the walk.
  23. There is no testing involved. The US only requires a valid passport. You can easily check that. As for why not just renew it passport renewals are currently backed up.
