  1. Are you saying you posted in a thread and it does not have a blue star when there are unread posts?
  2. If you have participated and there are new posts there will be a blue star. Blue Circle means new posts but have not participated. Grey circle means have read the thread, no new posts and not participated. Grey star, participated and no new posts.
  3. Yes they did in the last 30 years. Celebrity Zenith was thev last Celebrity ship that did both Hamilton and St. George regularly every week in the season. It was 17 years ago in 2017 that she did her last Bermuda sailing. Celebrity Horizon did Bermuda from Philadelphia and left the fleet in 2005. Kind of off topic but it appears that Celebrity is pulling out of regular Bermuda sailings. They are not doing many next cruise season.
  4. The star indicates unread posts in a topic you have posted in not participation. If there is a circle then no new unread posts.
  5. Yes the whole change was bad. Less time in Bermuda and tendering.
  6. Did you try cropping the Photo? If that does not reduce the file size enogh send yourself the photo in Apple Mail. Then share the photo again to yourself in Apple Mail. You will be given the option of different file sizes. Send a smaller size to yourself. Save the smaller size.
  7. They can get in with their smaller ships. Vista is just too big. They shouldn’t do the switcheroo but the cruise lines have always taken the position that the itinerary is not guaranteed. They didn’t change the itinerary, they just docking to tendering. I think though that since the cruise in question is next April 19 the switch was before final payment.
  8. That would depend on Vista’s draft. She may not be able to get close to Hamilton. Tendering is pretty rare. Usually none any year but there have been some years where there has been tendering once or twice. A couple of years ago Celebrity had to tender because the ship was rerouted off the original itinerary and the other berths were occupied.
  9. I had one Holland America cruise that was scheduled to dock at Hamilton and St. George but it was changed to dock at Hamilton and anchor at St George because Holland America added some aft cabins in a dry dock after I booked that made the draft to much to do St. George. So we were supposed to anchor. So many problems anchoring that by my sailing the scrubbed the anchoring and we docked in Hamilton three and a half days. They gave us free ferry passes to use if we wanted to visit St George.
  10. Celebrity no longer has any ships small enough to dock at Hamilton or St. George. They are gone from their fleet. They can only dock at the Dockyard.
  11. I went one time with Oceania. Insignia can dock at St. George and Hamilton and we did both. Overnights at both. That is the best Bermuda itinerary. It appears Vista is too large for Hamilton and St. George and must dock at the Dockyard where the large ships have to dock.
  12. I have been to Bermuda many times, like it and pay attention to what is happening there. I read their local media. I watch the Bermuda port cam often. The chances of getting to Bermuda by cruise are very high. Most scheduled cruises do get to Bermuda. The few that don’t are off season winter sailings between January and March one day port stops off of transatlantic crossings in the off season. A few miss during hurricane season. I have booked 17 cruises to Bermuda since 2000 and we got there every time.
  13. All the possible legs are confusing, I didn’t notice that option but I would have done the longer leg that ended in Bermuda. Because I am interested in Bermuda. I can understand since you live near Charleston that the revised itinerary where they screwed up the port stop in between didn’t interest you but ending in Bermuda would have been the best of both worlds to me. I might check the prices for the Miami to Bermuda cruise.
  14. The cruise OP booked ends in Bermuda but is not a Bermuda cruise per se. Seems to be billed as an Atlantic sailing it had a port stop in the middle and then ended in Bermuda or went on to Europe. Seems like it was a transatlantic with an option to end in Bermuda. If they were interested in Bermuda they could have debarked in Bermuda and stayed a few days and flew back. That is what I would have done. I would not have minded the extra time in Charleston.
  15. No one would know how you got your status or care. Elite status isn’t even very exclusive! There are many who have it and some have never sailed Celebrity. They got it reciprocated from Royal Caribbean.
  16. Why would anyone give you that expression? No one knows or cares how anyone got to Elite status.
  17. Travel agent tour or there was a wedding onboard. If they were on that late I would guess wedding.
  18. Royal Caribbean does not do day passes. They do some travel agency familization tours. I did one in Baltimore that my travel agent took me on because I was a valued customer. It was not a day pass. We got a tour of the ship and saw a number of different cabin category's and we had lunch in the MDR. Not day pass where you can use the amenities or the run of the ship but an escorted tour. When the ship is in Baltimore it is turnaround day.
  19. Anchoring and tendering off Bermuda is radical and it would be the pits. I think you made the right decision canceling.
  20. You are as old as you feel I guess but first of all you are not old. Now is the time to do and enjoy before you actually can’t. You probably have at least another 15 years. I don’t know what videos you have seen but I don’t think you would or should feel out of place on a Restless Native catamaran excursion. I doubt you would even be the oldest. Do it.
  21. Gin and tonic is included. That or beer are actually is my default drink at the happy hours that I have ordered for years. You can only get Beefeater but that is a good dry gin for gin and tonics. I would guess they have diet tonic.
  22. Carnival has been getting a license to open their casinos while docked in Bermuda.
  23. The casino can be open in the evening while docked in Bermuda if the ship gets a license. It will be open in the evening on NCL. Usually they open at 9:00 PM but check your ship activity sheet for the hours.
  24. There are scheduled public ferries that go to Hamilton. There are no water taxis in Bermuda. The public ferry is the best way to go to Hamilton.
  25. You can wing it. There are private taxi tours and shared minbus tours available. There is a staging area between the two berths with signs.
