  1. Doubtfull any snorkeling offered in February. Those type of excusrion operaters leave for warm climates in the winter. People would need a wet suit to dive or snorke then in Bermudal. You ust mean Fort St. Catherine. There are no castles in Bermuda. The Fort is not open every day in the winter so calling to verify is a good idea. Touring the island and golf are good winter activities in February.
  2. I am not a major corporation😀 Everyone has their own system. I do shred all paper records after a certain amount of time for different types. I never delete emails because they are on my email providers server not my computer and I will probably never run out of my allotted storage. Been on a lot of cruises and land vacations with groups and friends and from time to time on request try to recall different things like for example who a tour operator we used in Iceland. Someone wanted a recommendation. We used 5 different companies. No way I could recall which company for which tour. It was easy with the mail programs built in search to find the companies we used. For Celebrity I have a Smart Folder that has all the emails virtually. The emails are all on the ISP’s server so they are not taking up space on my computer. It is less time to leave it all there than the time it would take to delete.
  3. I am surprised anyone deletes emails. It is recommended to keep all email except spam. I never delete. It does say November 14.
  4. I have AirPods Pro 2 earbuds which noise cancelling options They do a good job of blocking conversation and I can listen to relaxing music, podcasts and audible books without bothering anyone else. They also have features I understand that are helpful to hard of hearing people.
  5. Family members sometimes think other family members are embarassing them when no one cares. I wouldn't worry about how loud you talk in the pool.
  6. Does RC still have libraries? They seem to be eliminating libraries on cruise ships. I don't recall music in the Solarium. I recall a lot of people reading. We went there to relax and read.
  7. I could easily get to Horseshoe Bay beach and back on a minibus shuttle or a taxi. The air and water temp are still fine in mid October. Or I could go to Hamilton. The ferry takes 30 minutes. I could do an island taxi tour. I don't do ship excursions but no doubt RC will offer a bunch. There are many 4 or 5 hour catamaran and other excursions offered out of the local Island Tour Centre. There are a number of Bermuda port calls that are only one day. I was on one about ten years ago. We had a great day at the beach.
  8. Not ideal but most cruise ports only have 6-8 hours. I know a lot of things I could do in Bermuda iwithin a 6-8 hour stop at this time of year.
  9. That is for operational reasons. Ships can not sail into or out of the Bermuda channels at night. Too dangerous. They are restricted to daylight hours and requires a pilot boat. Many sailings to Bermuda spend two days at sea so that the saiings are 7 days. They take their time. It does not actually take two days,
  10. It only takes a about day to get to Bermuda and the same to get back. Depends on sea conditions but the could possibly have 6 to 8 hours in Bermuda..
  11. Minors don’t have the same rights as adults. They can’t go to a bar without a parent or guardian. Minors are treated as a different class. In the US, states have different laws. In some states minors are not allowed at the bar or in the bar area. In other states it is up to the owner of the establishment but they can’t serve alcohol to minors.
  12. When I moved here,Texas, I made an appointment online. It was about 8 weeks from when I made it but I was immediately allowed in at the appointed time. No waiting outside or in any line. Didn’t take long. I did learn that some young people who have corrective lenses don’t bring them for the vision exam so they failed it. They were nice to them though. They were allowed to go home, get them and come back to finish without starting over. Had to think though that they were driving there and back home with uncorrected vision…..
  13. The point of this thread is that a passport is required if the cruise is not closed loop. A birth certificate and DL is not accepted for a cruise that starts in one US port and ends in a different port. The OP in the other threads girl friend won’t be able to board the cruise because she does not have a passport. All passengers on that sailing will have passports.
  14. So since you turned it down because you have 9 years left on your passport you can see the logic of people not getting passports until they need one? Right? Similar logic.
  15. The problem with your math is that you make generalizations. If the ship is not on a closed loop cruise out of a US port all 2000 passengers will have passports.
  16. Military bases may be included in requiring ReaL ID. I foresee a lot of confusion about what federal facilities require Real ID. I had to see someone at the Federal Building in Baltimore about 8 years ago and that was the most thorough search I ever had to go through.
  17. Here in Texas I could only get Real ID. Seems sensible to me. In my former state Maryland legal residents had to get Real ID. Only illegal residents could get non Real ID. I think in Texas only legal residents can get drivers licenses or state ID.
  18. In the US over 50% is considered a majority. If a political candidate gets 50% plus one votes they win. Do you have different math in Canada? I was only pointing out the Americans do have passports. 160,000,000 million have valid passports.
  19. So what are you going to do the next time your passport is sent in for renewal and you need to fly somewhere? Seems shortsighted not to get a Real ID license….
  20. Definitely incorrect. South Dakota is not on the border and does not issue EDL licenses. That law firm is probably part of the Real ID confusion. If Real ID ever comes into effect, it keeps getting postponed, I expect the confusion to be magnified 10 times. And since Real ID licenses are optional in some states and require an extra fee probably people are going to be crying about not being informed that they need ReaL ID licenses for domestic US flights.
  21. I don’t care if you don’t agree with my calculation. I made the rule of counting adults. Besides you missed the point.
  22. US population is about 333,000,000. There are about 260,000,000 who are 18 or over. US Department of State says there are 160,000,000 valid passports. Those statistics would indicate a majority of US adults have passports. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/about-us/reports-and-statistics.html
  23. It would be a 22 hour drive. Flight is 3:10 nonstop. I will take my chances 😀
  24. No loss at all. I have been to Canada many times. Next family reunion is scheduled in two years in Toronto. Not going to drive there though. Will fly in. Really convenient that US immigration and customs is at the Canadian airports.
  25. Most Americans don’t have on driving to Canada on bucket list. I just drove from Fort Worth,Texas to Santa Fe, New Mexico, about a 10 hours drive. Didn’t need a passport even entering the Navajo nation. So I didn’t take my passport. Never going to drive to Canada.
