Another ship from Holland in America! The Stad Amsterdam sailing out of Port Everglades just now. An unexpected, post-breakfast sail away.

Alaska tends to be a little less dressy,. I think it's due to the extra clothes you have to pack because of the weather & temperatures. That said, if you do want to dress to the nines, you won't be out of place. You'll also be fine if you want to dress to the fives or the sevens. If you dress to the threes (shorts) you will be out of place. The twos (swimsuit & cover up) and the ones (swimsuit only) are inappropriate - and entirely too cold. Nobody wants to see you dressed to the zeroes with all the dangly bits hanging out. People will likely call security. (Like & Follow for more stupid tips!)

Don't arrive too early. There's no shade if you can't get into the terminal.

It's been that way on Cunard for decades. I wouldn't read too much into it.

We've bought several robes over the years. DW has a plush robe and her mother had a waffle robe. We ordered both for on board delivery. We ordered from the HAL site just like you'd order flowers or stateroom beverages.

Roz - Have you stood behind anyone who had to read a question and then respond lately? Every time HAL (or any company for that matter) tries to idiot-proof things, someone comes up with a better idiot.

Probably have to use the "Thanks" (trophy) instead of the Like. We need a thoughtful Hmmm... button. 🤔

My grandparents had a room in their basement that was decorated for EVERYTHING. We're in a condo, so there's no basement. The tree in the corner is doable though.
