  1. Ahhh, I thought this was just something I didn't know about. Oh well, I do enjoy the Indian selections in the buffet. Although on my last cruise, I found that they lightened up on the spice
  2. Thanks. My Google search must have been flawed
  3. Hello. Another newbie question..... does msc offer a shareholder benefit? Thanks
  4. I hope not. I'm going on my first MSC cruise and I was assigned a boarding time on my booking document. The booking agent didn't actually ask me about a time. My plan is to just show up whenever. I'll show up around noon even though my time says 1:30
  5. I'm taking a cruise on the Seashore in June that is two back to back cruises, but it's booked as one cruise. For anyone that has done this before, do they treat you as if you have two back to back cruises on the turnaround day? What I mean is do they make you clear the ship or whatever procedure they have you follow when you have two different bookings? I would love to just sleep in really late, but if I have to get up and out anyway, I may do the Kennedy Space Center tour
  6. wow. I don't know what is funnier....the joke I was trying to make or the fact that I was replying to the wrong thread. LOL (I was thinking I was responding to the cookies thread)
  7. actually, the OP asked if they could use all four of their credits (two each for guest one and two) in one meal for 4 people, which is never allowed. but you're right, it morphed into sharing the meals (not the credits) amongst the 4 people. I was laughing earlier thinking that if my wife asked if she could try some of my meal because it looks good, I'd have to tell her no, it's not allowed 🙂 (according to some of the posters here on cc)
  8. Lucky for me, I'm one of the few that goes to the solo lounge for the pound cake and not the cookies. I'm also one of the few that's not impressed by the coffee machine since it doesn't make just plain coffee
  9. you can absolutely put refundable OBC on your account using a credit card. The limit is $1000 though. I can't speak on whether you can get the $$$ at guest services on embarkation. I've never heard of it being done before
  10. https://www.ncl.com/onboard-packages/dining-packages You can buy them a 2 meal plan for $99, plus tips. So it's basically $50 per meal. I don't know which restaurants you plan on going to, but the a la carte price for the mail will most likely be more than $50
  11. So should I also ignore on my booking confirmation where it says early dining requested? I found this funny because I never spoke about dining with the agent doing the booking so I personally didn't request anything
  12. It will most likely be cheaper if you bought the 2 meal plan for guests 3 and 4 instead of paying menu prices for them
  13. Thanks. My gripe is more about the non response. And it does look like they actually did it, but I don't really have any way to verify. I could probably call customer service. But the actual status doesn't mean much to me because I honestly don't see anything it offers that I'd be interested in. I may do the spa since I'll have it. But like I said, it's just the fact that they are ignoring their customer. It's a pet peeve of mine
  14. to the OP, I would not recommend going to Fogo De Chao first. It's going to ruin your expectations and moderno will seem like a let down 🙂 Have moderno, enjoy it, then go to Fogo if you get a chance. that way, you're trending up 🙂 the one thing I do miss from Moderno is the lamb chops. They do still serve lamb, but not chops. And my very first cruise, on the Sun back in 2012, they had ceviche at the salad bar. I haven't seen civiche since that first time
  15. awesome tip about Cagneys and the pineapple. I'll have to keep this in mind. Pineapple and 7 layer chocolate cake.....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
  16. if I had a MSC account, I would
  17. I submitted a status match with MSC about 6 weeks ago. I have not heard anything. I've seen posts here saying the voyager club can be a pain to deal with and to just keep hounding them. I've sent in several emails asking for a status on my request, but haven't heard anything. I decided I would just re-submit, but I keep getting an error message on the page that simply says the match request didn't go thru. I've been assuming it was a glitch on the site. So I finally went ahead and booked my first cruise with MSC. I got an email today with info about the cruise, it says I'm a gold level with 4300 points. I guess this means my status match is actually done. would have been nice to have been notified
  18. good explanation, except the $50 is applied to your account as refundable. To the OP, yes, you have it correct, provided you book the excursions onboard. I do this to convert my stockholder credit to refundable and I cash out the $100 at the end of the cruise
  19. I would suggest you looking to cruise first certs. You don't have to worry about waiting for the double up on any cabin promo. The $500 CF sales come around much more often then the double up on any cabin promo
  20. You can use them on the balcony cabin, but you'd be saving less money than if you used two regular CN certs. The haven certificates will cost you more money
  21. I prefer the bigger/newer ships. the old ships with the smaller crowds tend to be more boring at night.
  22. I just purchased a CN today resale. I'm waiting for the transfer to complete. Once it does, I'll try to add it to my January reservation. I'll let you know how it goes. the current promo ends next Tuesday, so there is plenty of time for the transfer to complete
  23. wow. surprising to hear about all the unexpected upgrades. Just booked my first MSC cruise and booked a OV GTY. Let's see if I get lucky.....my cruise is in June. How close to sailing do they usually assign cabins?
