  1. Until we know more, I'm not going to waste anymore time guessing. All we know for sure is that the ship is slightly different, and that the World Poker Tour chartered another Lady Ship, with Virgin offering full refunds or 150% credit towards a future voyage.
  2. Yeah....you don't let views like that go to waste.
  3. Here's another shot of the back of the ship https://www.shipspotting.com/photos/3486734?
  4. I don't think they would entirely eliminate it. It might just be a smaller venue. They could also make up for the lost footage by expanding inward.
  5. Here's a quote from the following link: https://cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/2023/01/virgin-voyages-building-a-brand/
  6. No, Brilliant Lady was made to fit the Panama Canal. The other lady ships do not fit in the canal.
  7. Sid, Some advice from an old man.... Don't let future changes scare you. People reinvent themselves all the time. In fact, Mother Nature's law of survival is, "Adapt or Perish."
  8. If I remember correctly, the upper level connects you to the various parking garages, train & bus stations.
  9. You can find a place to store your luggage close to wherever you want to be with "Stasher" https://stasher.com/
  10. The fish at Extra Virgin is nice too.....but, maybe not as nice as the Wake.
  11. You can get the Golf Carts for $60 if you haggle.
  12. I remember when they said that it would be back live on April 13th.
  13. That ribeye is the best piece of meat served on the ship.
  14. Our first 2 cruises with VV were two short b2bs on Scarlet, last October. Having grown tired of cutbacks and excuses from Princess, we were ready for something new. We loved everything so much that I called my TA from my hammock on Bimini, and told her to cancel any remaining bookings with other lines. We then sailed 8 days on the Valiant for my birthday in February. We have 4 more booked: Barcelona to Miami 10/23, San Juan to Lisbon 4/24, and 2 short b2bs in July of 2024 to celebrate our 25th anniversary. For over 10 years were were convinced that we'd be spending our 25th anniversary on a Princess Cruise. Ha! We deleted the Princess app from our phones before we even disembarked our fist Virgin Voyage!
  15. I would say the exact same thing, but would add "on a ship". It's really wonderful...flaky & moist. Excellent choice!
  16. It's been reported elsewhere, Reddit I think that the Brilliant was designed to fit through the Panama Canal. Since the Med is already flooded with ships, and Virgin already has a presence there, I can see the Brilliant ended sailing the UK Isles, Northern Europe/Scandinavia, or a transit to the canal for the Mexican Riviera and Alaska. Finding dock space this late in the game might not be easy. All of the cruise lines pull sailings from offerings for various reasons. Don't let it discourage you, the on-board Virgin experience makes up for all of the land-based nonsense.
  17. Agreed. I even photographed the menu so I could make the shrimp at home. Buford Highway Farmer's Market has the allepo pepper flakes. Easy to make.
  18. Yes, but you sign up for it just like anyone else, and then they remove the charge from your folio.
  19. I'm truly sorry you're not happy with the room. I'd be unhappy too at $300. When I booked them on Xmas Eve via Expedia during the Southwest debacle, it was only $125. I had no idea it was this much.
  20. Let's hope Virgin replies. It's been much more than 5 weeks. Cruise was pulled April 4th or 5th.
  21. That's a shame. I really enjoyed my stay at their Brickell location. Then again, I was happy to have any room at all, since I was stranded at the last minute on Christmas Eve.
  22. Another option is Scarlet's TA out of Miami. Hopefully, if they do cancel for whatever reason, they will try to accommodate as many of us as possible by moving us to this sailing. Part of me wants to put a deposit down on this one just in case.
  23. FYI: You don't need to buy or use an EZ card if your credit card or smart phone are tapable. Just tap your card or phone at the gate when entering or leaving the station.
