  1. Depends on what’s going on. If there is a lot of weather and changes in cruises it could take a little longer
  2. Mine just took over 2 minutes to load
  3. We like the Motif for its proximity to many restaurants.
  4. All we do is tap the medallion to the scanner. No one actually looks at the medallion itself. They match the data and security photo and off we go
  5. Definitely true depends on time and ship. The stewards are very busy and do not need people getting in their way
  6. Never ever would I take my passport into any port. If you are hospitalized the ship will be contacted and your passport will be brought to you by the port agent I you are totally paranoid you can take a picture or printout but once I am on board all passports go into the safe except for a few cruises where the ship takes them for some countries that require it. All that goes with me off the ship is my medallion, drivers license, one credit card and some cash
  7. Have you actually tried to use the supposed hotel deals ? Frankly I find my casino deals much better and am able to do everything though my CVP
  8. Anyone else having issues with the app. All of a sudden mine won’t open
  9. We were once on a ship and knew there was going to be a lunar eclipse and when we asked the staff captain about it he had no idea what we were talking about
  10. Just a note cruise critic has its own website but it is owned by Trip Advisor Also I don’t believe I have ever seen an all inclusive ship we have always paid for things like cocktails, spa services and laundry just to mention a few. I do agree that back in the 1990’s MDR service was excellent however I have never been all that impressed with the menus. I first cruised on the old Fair, Star, Dawn and Sun Princess
  11. I beg to differ. I have been cruising Princess for 34 years. Specialty dining has never been included, before drink packages came into being you HAD to pay for drinks one at a time etc. MDR, buffet, lido desk burgers etc have always been included. The only difference really are packages which allow those people who use some services to actually save money
  12. I won’t go near them even on board ship. I only deal with my longtime CVP.
  13. 60 Princess cruises and zero bags lost Be aware that if rooms are not ready when you board that you may have to haul those bags around the ship
  14. Most hotel concierge desk will keep your bags. Our trips in April and July are out of Vancouver. We are staying at the Pan Pacific and they will arrange for our bags to get to the ship ($20 tip). In April we sail on Sunday so one elevator to 5 Sails for High Tea at 11:45 and then a 2nd elevator to check in. Never have to leave Canada Place
  15. In the old days there were the laundry rooms before they started to lock them up at night
  16. Same here if we do a 7 day it is part of a b2b. Leave next month for 16 days for Hawaii
  17. Same here we have never ever booked a specialty restaurant and have never been denied a table after 7:30 and have never seen the room full at that time
  18. Long pants and a shirt with buttons is pretty much average
  19. If you cancel before final payment you should only lose deposits
  20. We find that the queen set up gives more room on the cabin because who needs the area between the beds
  21. I had found a b2b on essentially the same route as one I had paid for and the price was so much less and had more days that the $400 hit was worth it
  22. I have always had to pay the total when I book. Note I pay to upgrade to full suites. If you cancel you will lose the deposit. After full payment is made standard cancellation rules apply and show on your booking
  23. On casino comp cabin deals you pay $200 pp deposit which converts to OBC. If you cancel you will lose the deposit. It is sometimes a benefiting better deals come along that you want
  24. Had the same situation last cruise Medallion showed elite. If the personalizer is correct there won’t be any problem
  25. No Ruby 4/14. Much prefer the Grand class to Royal
