  1. There are others like deals only good for people who live close to a port or 50% discount for plus in the UK
  2. When you order it will say $10 but when it ships the invoice says $0 and you are not charged. This has been going on for several years with the apps
  3. There are many deals that only apply to certain people, different areas or even countries and many are just for limited times. I travel on casino deals which means I usually get free balconies with casino free play and can upgrade to full suites for not much money. The worst deal I ever get is a minimum of a 30% discount
  4. They never had to swipe it just plug it in. The medallion is best for unlocking your door otherwise it pretty much acts like the cruise card did although it is smaller takes up less room in you pocket and at the slot machines you don’t have to keep anything in the machine Many people confuse the medallion with the app which is the real game changer since it lets you check your folio, look at MDR dinner menus in the morning and find the location of your traveling companions to mention just a few
  5. The pasta portions are so large I just skip the mains to have room for the great desserts
  6. Still love the carbonara pasta in Sabatini’s. Always have it on embarkation night
  7. 2 party times have been the norm for several years as the amount of elites has skyrocketed especially with people doing 4-5 day cruises
  8. With all the MDR issues we hear about on every ship we are glad too always be in Reserve Dining. Since the restart we have never waited more than 2 minutes
  9. Not all couples are together all the time we are often doing different things We hate having to constantly check our folio to see where the drinks are being charged to and how many each has left. That is why we insist that they put one on each account when we are together any bartenders who won’t do it will see their end of cruise tip envelope empty. Waiters in the specialty restaurants also have a bad habit of charging both meals to the man’s account same with bottles of wine. We operate our lives with 2 checking accounts and different credit cards so these things do make a difference
  10. We did not start it. Somebody posted pictures suggesting it and I for one want to warn people because for us if was very traumatic
  11. I was on the Crown January and into February and loved our mattress
  12. In my opinion it is close to being a scam. There have been many reports about limitations on the hotel portions making it almost unusable
  13. I think that it is a glitch to show O’Malley’s. Casual venues usually don’t take reservations even on board
  14. Why would I want to book in advance and have to pay in advance when I have always been able to book when on board
  15. I was on the Crown last month and you could only see the current days menu
  16. Washing is cheap paper waste with food on it cannot or at least should not be recycled but thrown in garbage. Spoken as a person who recycled as possible
  17. There have never been future menus on the app. If you want paper napkins bring your own they belong at McDonalds not a cruise ship. If you use a paper making it cannot be washed and reused. Talk about real waste Specialty restaurants are never booked fully on line. We always eat several meals in them and never make arrangements until on board As far as putting bags out the tell you in writing when they need to be put out. There is no real starting time
  18. Believe me you will still get fed
  19. We travel on long sea cruises. Like 16 day cruises with only 4 ports. River cruises do not interest us nothing to do at night
  20. We only eat on shore for lunch which cannot be eaten on ship. How many breakfast and dinners do you have on shore ? Most times you leave port prior to dinner anyway
  21. If you eat 2 of the desserts you won’t be able to eat any meals. The plus package was made for people like us who have 10+ drinks a day
  22. This is very common and you will not believe how many people will line up to get off
  23. Sounds like Vegas. We have never had to bribe anyone and have never had a problem. Just being polite goes a long way and eating after 7:30 or 8:00 really helps
  24. If everyone who fell on a cruise sued the courts would be tied up for years and the ambulance chasers would be lining up at piers I tripped over a poorly parked scooter in the casino and broke 3 ribs never thought about a lawsuit or complaint
