  1. The casino is our entertainment from 10:00 pm on sometimes a bit in the afternoon. We go on long cruises with lots of sea days so we also spend time in bars or reading or going to lectures. The casino is just a few hours a day on our cruises
  2. I had thought he was leaving ships to concentrate on his website business back home
  3. Another reason we always wait to book specialty restaurants until on board. We have found that they never reserve all the tables especially for dining after 7:30 or so
  4. Remember a lot of times there are bartenders acting as baristas who are only trained on the menu drinks
  5. I find it slower to do anything. Hopefully it will be better on ship
  6. We no longer care to sit around before boarding so we show up after noon
  7. I ordered medallions on the old app and when I look at the new app it tells me medallions ordered. All looks to be ok
  8. Please confirm if prices are US or AU
  9. That’s what our cell phones are for. We abandoned the big heavy cameras to appreciate the area. Especially in areas we have visited before
  10. Take 5 is wonderful on the evening but it is usually closed in the afternoon. They were using it for elite/suite cocktails when we were on board I. It also made a nice break from the neighboring casino
  11. Still we are talking about grown people who are all expected to be responsible for their own actions not children. When I was 22 I had a 6 month fling with a 35 year old woman should someone have “saved” me from that ? As a 43 year old I had a shipboard fling with a 25 year old entertainment staff member. Again we are adults and should be treated as such.
  12. The Royal class ships have those tall atrium spaces where sound just echoes. We only sail them if we really really love the itinerary
  13. Posting deck plans is pretty much the same as advertising. We look at what each ship offers and make our choices from that. We are not going to complain about things that we know about in advance
  14. I have a friend who was a bartender who met a passenger and then married her What some people are calling stalking also takes place on college campuses and local restaurants
  15. Guest entertainers are also considered passengers and usually have cabins in passenger areas. In the past it was very common to have relations with passengers and in fact all entertainment staff used to invite us down to crew areas. About 15 years ago we were on a ship where a young lady who had had too much to drink and fell down a crew staircase trying to find someone. Later all policies changed
  16. There are still lots of posters who complain about things that are not going to change. Royal class ship don’t have casino bars, this ship didn’t have Alfredo’s, this ship doesn’t have Vines. My goodness you know it advance what ships have what things on board
  17. Alas the days of hanging out with crew in crew bar and having flings are pretty much gone due to liability issues. It is a shame
  18. I wear jeans, T shirt and tennis shoes in port. My medallion is in my pocket. I don’t think I look all that different from most people we encounter. We cruise mostly in Alaska, Hawaii, Mexico, Canada and Panama cruises
  19. The MDR and buffet have totally different menus. One is a sit down restaurant and one is a serve yourself buffet
  20. It depends on the service. If they don’t try and push extra services or product on me then they might get a few dollars
  21. Sure. I just don’t get people who take them into port with them. Just like the ones who wear a lanyard and medallion in port. Seems to label one as a tourist and target
  22. All we ever use them for is to carry stuff down to the laundromat
  23. It is an additional option not on the MDR menu and only available in Reserve class
