  1. As long as they do not ask me to order drinks for them. And yes that has happened to me
  2. I think we are all going through this and it is why I.always travel with a screenshot of my travel summary
  3. That also means your traveling companions cannot find you as well. We find that element of the medallion very helpful
  4. Also remember that a 6:00 to 7:00 reservation may well be held up because the mobs who line up before the rooms even open will not be done with their meals. I have often seen people with reservations told they would have a wait during busy times
  5. In our last 5 cruises I have had this happen only once. I would hate to have to pull it in and out of a sleeve every time I needed to us it. Like getting on and off the ship etc
  6. It is because you termed “drinks for ladies”. You seem to like martinis which is what my wife drinks. So I am only referring to you comment about drinks for ladies. As fit rum I would never mix a good rum with OJ but for a morning eye opener Captain Morgan mixes well with the OJ
  7. I just had holiday tea at the Heathman Hotel. I moved from Oakland to Portland awhile ago
  8. Each time I have had Covid on a cruise, twice , I have always gotten medical charges reimbursed by my KaiserMedicare Advantage plan. Quarantine reimbursement done via my CVP
  9. People here in Portland don’t use umbrellas. If we see someone with one we figure they are tourists or recent transplants
  10. I don’t find any of the food there very good. The Mac and cheese just tastes like Mac and cheese. Not much lobster flavor
  11. Except that on the Crown they allowed us to share the meal in Vines so we then had 3 left between us
  12. Sounds a lot like 360 dinner to me but without the freebie for suites
  13. Yes there will be one but no one knows when it will come out since Princess keeps moving the date. Remember when a blogger insisted it would come out December 1 ? Even my CVP says now that there is no estimated time frame for any new app
  14. I am afraid this sounds a little sexist to me. My wife is the Bloody Mary drinker in the family. My late morning drink is Spiced Rum and OJ
  15. Specialty dining has never been part of included on most cruises I have ever taken. If you are referring to price increases for special dining what restaurant in your area has the same prices they did 10 or 20 years ago
  16. The first 2 days out from SF are usually cold and the last 2 days the same. We have done this trip many times from LA SF Seattle and Vancouver
  17. If this is all about casual dining then I don’t even have a horse in the race. I sail mostly on ships that never had any included casual dining except for small tapas at Vines. The last time we were on a Royal class ship every casual venue was jam packed and there were waits of up to an hour or more for Alfredo’s and even a long wait for the sushi bar with ala carte pricing
  18. rarely use the buffet and have been driven away from Royal class ships due to the sheer volume of noise in the piazza
  19. There is no “new” app regardless of how many rumors you hear. I don’t expect any changes until sometime in 2024
  20. Again my take is to use a CVP who can look into this. The answer you got makes no sense.
  21. Don’t hold your breath on a new app. My bet is it will be months. Those touting December 1 have all been proved to be false. When I checked with my CVP they told me who knows when something will show up
  22. Be advised that if you are on a non Royal class ship your choices for casual dining and mostly for lunch not dinner
  23. That is why I am glad I have a dedicated CVP to handle these things rather than rely on so called customer service
  24. No other cruise line gives me the deals I can get from Princess. With casino deals and drink packages after 45+ cruises. No other line gives me what I want. I tried NCL and thought it was the smallest balcony in the history of cruising. I am able to take 10 day cruises in a full suite with a plus package for $3,000 per person. Pretty darn good deal
