Looks like offers are getting better. We just booked a 14 Quebec to FLL in 2025 upgraded to a 680 sf suite with Princess plus and free play Free balconies seem to be coming back

In the old days we used to offer a half glass to the head waiter and never got a corkage fee. Now with the packages we no longer carry on wine

Social Security is not politics it is a savings plan that we paid into to have when we aged. We have sailed through lung cancer and multiple joint replacements.

This may sound really stupid but why couldn’t they have done regular checkin then tender people to the ship in the bay so they could have cocktails and dinner and come back to the pier for luggage

They will hand me free balconies and often free drink packages ? Another plus for me on Princess is that there almost always bartenders, servers and managers I know from earlier cruises

Yeah some of VIP cruises are totally jammed

First of all we paid all that money we get from our years of paychecks. That money is ours. I paid a lot in over 50 years of working. I will still be cruising for another 20 years. I don’t even mind the families my biggest problem is those who seem to feel the need to carry a backpack everywhere on ship even into the MDR. I am really tired of the backpacks slamming into me when they crowd into the elevator

There are only 2 piers for cruise ships in SF and they are in the same general area. We will be taking the Crown to Mexico next month and will be interested in the tides

Amen to that. We are boomers in our early 70’s and cruise 4 times a year on Princess. We are not going anywhere but do not want to sail on humongous ships with amusement parks attached
